Hello everyone, I was off the island so I didn’t get a chance to work on and upload the videos yesterday. No bad news this week either and not much else going on. The same two birds K91 and K87 continue to soar over the KBRT area on the east end of the island. K93 and A32 also keep visiting this area. Today, I found one of them perched on the pole and the other one soaring above it. ![]() ![]() I went to the West End this week looking for K97 but still no joy finding her. It has been extremely hot this week but once I hike to a lower altitude and walk below the clouds, it gets really cold and windy. San Clemente ![]() Above the fog ![]() In the middle of the fog ![]() I made a couple of long videos of Pimu’s and Pii’ ich’s feedings. Enjoy! ![]() ![]() Until next week, Steffani |

Steffani No bad news is good news!! Happy that you are still seeing K-91 and K-87, and still together. Sorry K-97 Joy is being elusive, but maybe she is not anywhere near where you are looking?? Absolutely loved the videos, both really behave for you - what was the noise we keep hearing when you were feeding Pii' ich?

Wonderful videos, Steff! Pimu has come a long way since I first saw her. You seem so relaxed with her. Loved it when you stroked her talon! Pii’ ich seemed more distracted than usual....though she really went after the pork! Looked like she was gonna take off your fingers a couple times!Glad for a week with no bad news.....as I'm sure you are! We've all said it befor and we'll say it again....thanks, Steffani!

STEFFANI-- Thank you so much for the nice long videos of you and your eagle buddies. Pii'ich's feathery coat is especially glossy and pretty--her talking sounds remind me of the sounds of rusty hinge on an old barn door. Pimu is so much more trusting of you as the months and years go by. It continues to be such happy news that K87 & K91 are still companions --as they explore and learn together. Stay cool as you can out there on beautiful Catalina. |

Bette, Those noises you're hearing on Pii' ich's feeding video are all coming from her! She's pretty vocal some times. |

Steffani, except for the wild quail outside their cage that I kept hearing after you gave her the second quail ... |
