<::: PLEASE READ

This Nest Observations/Nest Watch thread remains open .. as long as there are cameras .. which are operational .. to watch.

Normally the VCOE and the IWS work on the cam equipment during the fall/winter .. so the cams may go off from time to time .. but we are normally advised by them if they are working in the area.

IWS weekly updates will probably be posted .. as in the past .. during this off season.

Just a few Gentle Reminders about posting on this thread. ( Helps to save time when reading through it).

Please remember that it is the CHANNEL ISLANDS NESTS ONLY ... either on or off camera ... that we post our observations/comments about.

There are THREE nests with cameras online ... so it is important to know WHICH NEST you are observing.

Please put the Initials at the start of your post ...

. . .ALL 3 NESTS - http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/allnests.html
. . .PH = Pelican Harbor #1 (WMP) - http://media1.vcoe.org/eaglecam1
. . .PH = Pelican Harbor #2 (embedded) - http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/pelicanharborcam.htm
. . .TH = Two Harbors - http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/twoharborscam.html
. . .WE = West End - http://www.iws.org/bald_eagles/westendcam.html

Currently the TH & WE Nests are on Justin.tv ... here are the links.
. . .TH = Two Harbors - http://www.justin.tv/iwsciber
. . .WE = West End - http://www.justin.tv/iwsciber2

These nests are all in California ... so it's Pacific Time ... on this coast.

We prefer that the Quote Button is not used on this thread ... and if you must use it ... because you are referring to something on a previous page ... then take TEXT only ... never captures or video.

Thanks!

Sounds like water dripping onto the mic. Did it rain her over night?

WE 5.26
As the moon shines thru the clouds, the tors begin to come to view. Moon still hides behind heavy clouds and glistens like a bright ball on the calm water. Very windy

5.48
The moon finds a break and shines across the water, very pretty.

6.10
The solid beem begins to break as the moon slips behind the distant clouds. We begin to get a view of the wonder itself. Til the cam mucks it up. :(

PH 5.35
Still sounds a bit like light rain??? IDK

Wind has died down quite a bit. Moon begins to sink behind the distant clouds. Beam is now a ball in the distance. Morning light begins to take over.

I too, have heard no calls.

PH 6.44
Little finches begin to sing in the early morning light. (which we cannot see yet) Others begin to join in. Thought I seen a streak of white pass by, but could just have been the cam ??

WE 6.45
The morning sun begins to brighten the day, as the last of the moonglow shines on the water in a small ball. Clouds reach across the sea from afar and slowly move out to sea.

PH--the "rain"' has been no longer for quite some time. Suspect it isn't raining.
