Dr. Sharpe - we are all very worried about K24 with the hook in his talon. He is favoring it very much and I am concerned if we don't get it removed it will severely handicap him in catching and carrying fish. It appears to be in much too far for any hope of it coming out on its own. I do hope you will be able to capture him very soon and get the hook out. |

Dr. Sharpe - If K24 does not use his left foot as much, or in a way he would be using it if the hook weren't there, is it possible the talons could grow too long and curl if they don't get the "normal" amount of wear? It seems he keeps that foot slightly raised. |

He is walking on the foot, so the talons should get wear on rocks, branches, etc. |
