Parent chasing fledglings from nest

Dr. Sharpe. It has been reported by others that you believe it was probably 5z that was chased by her parent from the nest the other day. Would it be unusual for a parent to chase one of its own fledglings from a nest, but continue to allow its remaing fledglings to remain? Thanks.

Yes, that would be unusual.
