Hi Dr. Sharpe, Do you have any thoughts on the current nest site? I know the cam was down for a while, but we haven't seen either adult on the nest and wondering what you think? Happy Holidays and thank you for all your work. |

It is still 2 months until nesting time and the PH pair are heard regularly in the nest area via the nest cam, so it is much too early to say where they will nest. |

I too, had questions regarding the PH nest of K10 and K26 Dr Sharpe...I'm wondering if perhaps the birds have gone back to the nest they had 2 years ago? I know at this time of year, the eagles are often seen re-building their current nests..since we have not seen this pair on the current nest in the rebuilding stage, was thinking they've possibly moved on to another nest to re-build. Anxiously waiting for some info from you..and was wondering if there is still an operational cam at the nest of two years ago? Appreciate all you and your crew do for these wonderful birds and nests..Take Care and have a wonderful New Year

The current cam is from the nest at Twin Harbors from 2011, so there is nothing out there anymore. The crew will start looking for nesting eagles in mid-January. |
