Hello, There is a fairly recent posting on the IWS Facebook site from RobandPatty Ott. Clicking on their Timeline Photos shows a photograph taken in Washington State of a bald eagle with orange bling with 03 written on it. I haven't heard any mention of the sighting in the updates, so wondered if this bird was a Catalina Island eagle. |

K-03 photo posted on Facebook by RobandPatty Ott on January 10, 2013. Their comment says: "We found this one out by the west fork of the satsop river eating salmon..." From Wikipedia: Satsop River The Satsop River is a stream in the U.S. state of Washington. It has three main tributary forks, the East Fork, West Fork, and Middle Fork Satsop Rivers. The main stem Satsop River is formed by the confluence of the West and East Forks. Wikipedia Discharge: 2,039 ft³/s (57.74 m³/s) Length: 6 miles (10 km) Basin area: 291 sq miles (753.7 km²) Mouth: Chehalis River Hancock wildlife has webcams on the Chehalis River, but I do not follow them, so I do not know if K-03 would be in the area of the cams. http://www.hancockwildlife.org/index.php?topic=chehalis How cool - thanks for the wing up Ken!!!
