Wondering the same thing. How long will A40 stay there without relief or food? Will the IWS be given a permit to rescue the eggs if the nest is abonded? |

Peter....I have been wondering the exact same thing...do you have the authority to rescue the eggs?..Is there a plan on the "back shelf"?...when and if this becomes the only alternative if A27 not returning. I pray "red tape bureaucracy" will not hinder decisions/actions. A40 can only stay so long without eating, then he would be weakened..OR...in your experience...will A40 eventually leave the eggs...for his own instinct to survive. Much worry and concern out here! I hope the decision is an easy one to make and to accomplish..to aid A40 and save the eggs in your incubators ..to hatch them and then foster the chicks to other nests. Thank you for putting up with our worrying and questioning. |

If A27 does not return, then A40 will eventually abandon the nest. There are no plans to try to rescue the eggs because the only nest with eggs of a similar age that I could realistically foster the eggs to would be the West End nest, which has 3 eggs already. |

Thank you, Dr. Sharpe. It's easy for us as observers to hope for something without thinking it through. Thank you for all that you and your crew do. |
