Dr Sharpe, I just read something said (re: another nest, on Facebook) that Bald Eagles can and do mate throughout the year as a part of bonding but there is a two-week window where the hormones are right for producing eggs. I know the second part is incorrect because of what we've seen on SC nest this year but is there any truth to the first part? |

They may bond some outside of the breeding season, but most bonding would take place from a few months before egg laying through the egg-laying season. |
