Dr. Sharpe, The Eagles on the SC nest just don't seem to know that they have plenty of sticks! When you go up there to spruce up the camera, are you allowed to open up the nest bowl a bit to help them out? Kinda just stretch the opening of their impressive stick wall open more? Of course I understand you won't want to do anything that would harm the integrity of the nest. |

I assume the eagles know what is best for their nest, so I don't tend to alter them much, unless there is a threat to the chicks falling out. |

I note that the visits of A40 and A48 are rather sporadic lately. Is this usual at this time? Can anything be read into this? I am so eager to see a successful hatch here this season, I get rather unsettled when days go by and no one is showing up. I am sorry. This should have been a new topic. Can't find a way to delete it and re-post. |

There really is no reason for the birds to be visiting or working on the nests at this time of year. They still have about 4 months before they lay eggs and only need a week or two to prepare the nest. |
