Good Thursday Morning Peepers![]() Check out this video that CDN CDN posted the other day on the IWS forum. It is really incredible. The two whoopers are Operation Migration adult birds believed to be #24 & #42 from 2009. They do an awesome job of fending off 5 'Hey you get offa my log' :lol:Whooping Cranes VS Eagles (5:01) |

We are still working to get all Mom's Homecare issues resolved. There will be a meeting on Wednesday with us and the 'powers that be' to see how we can get services for things that break their rules These things would be automatically taken care of if she was in a PC Home.![]() Doesn't she look rather impish here? This photo was taken after supper last night to show my sister the plant she sent for Mom's It had a teddy bear wrapped around the pot too ![]() We had a bit of a problem with Mom yesterday because I didn't call her an hour before supper as I always do before her meals to remind her to get herself ready to go to the dining room. When the homecare girl showed up to escort her, she wasn't dressed and she told her "I'm not going because I'm not hungry" We hear that all the time and then she totally eats everything in sight !!!! I had been on the phone with 3 different people discussing Mom's care going forward and I totally lost track of the time. I was making arrangements for the meeting on Wednesday...these people all get the holiday Monday, so they won't be around much next week and I had to get something in place before they left this week...some have Friday off too. DH spoke to Mom when the care giver called him and she really gave him a hard time "Nobody is going to tell me what to do, or when to do it !!!". He tried to reason with her but no luck. As soon as I got off the phone with her Homecare co-ordinator I called her and she said she would get ready. I told her to hurry because by then there was only 10 minutes before the meal service started. I reminded her to take her walker. Then I drove like a banshee to get there in rush hour traffic. I was happy to see her at her table when I got there but she had missed getting the drinks and soup which was a hearty meat borscht, her very favorite. I went straight to the Managers table (they eat at the same time as everybody else) and she went into the kitchen and gave me the drinks and soup for Mom. Of course, Mom was antsy because she WAS really hungry. She was also wearing an outdoor jacket...she told one of the ladies at the next table, who is really on the ball, that she was waiting for me to come and take her out to dinner. This is what I am dealing with at both daily meals and it is getting terribly draining because I also have to make sure she is eating the best choices at each meal. When supper was over, we get up to leave the table and that's when I realized Mom didn't have her walker there. OMG she didn't even take her cane !!! It's not that she can't walk without it but she really shouldn't because she may get a bit dizzy and/or stagger, especially when her blood sugar may be low Thank goodness she can still choose her clothes and dress herself properly  |

![]() This is not the final final final one. I say this because it usually takes Dr Jivraj three times and upward before he is totally satisfied. I like the color and placement better than what I have now. Mina they go without me to Switzerland

Penny, your Mom looks fabulous - nice plant, too. I know what you are dealing with and you have all my sympathy. Vicki, good luck! We had a great visit over lunch. Three tries and they still didn't get my order right! Needless to say, my lunch was free! |

I'm a goof ball… this is the truck commercial.. My oldest son Jason is the one doing the walking and grabbing the keys..getting into the truck.. other two boys in there somewhere…It's on You Tube… they had to wait hours for the sun to get just right so it would reflect in the truck's door being closed…. gotta love it. The background for the filming is the construction site of our new Community Hospital in Ventura... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7juP7_68zec |
