Marsha....I found it!

Below is my wonderful blankie, made for me by my wonderful best friend of (and I just recalculated to verify the unbelieveable number!) ... of 46 years!!! That's me on the left and Linda on your right.

Marsha, you can see in this photo what I was referring to with the fringe. Look at the bottom and sides, where you can see the plain color is showing on the picture side. Now look at the top row (where we are holding it). The fringe is showing what the plain side would show - the design. Because the blanket is a double thickness, it is so warm and comfy!!! The other photo is Linda and her "giraffe" otherwise known as her hubby David who is very VERY tall!!!
:D  rofl

Marsha, note that mine is for a "sofa throw" not full size. It depends on how much time you want to spend on each one I guess...

MARTI...Love the throw...those tigers are beautiful...that was a lot of tying for Linda...but well worth it. I am sure you enjoy it especially on cold days like you had today...and helps to make the cold symptoms feel a little better too. Take it easy till cough and cold all gone. :)^

Airbus A-380 First Landing at SFO with 800 Passengers

Just thought you might enjoy seeing this humongous A380 as it makes its first landing at San Francisco airport.

In case you've ever wondered what it would be like to land a "flying city", here's a look at it! What a beast............ Can't imagine 800 folks on the same airplane!

This is an incredible video of a German Airbus landing at SFO. The approach shows wonderful and memorable views of the GG Bridge, the Presidio, the Bay Bridge , and the approach to SFO.

The pilots sit away from everything, no yoke, etc. Captain pulls up a keyboard once in a while to enter info but the plane does most of the work.....

For best results go "full screen" on your monitor. It will seem like you are in the cockpit.

Marsha, I didn't know we shared a birthday! The Gemini Twins! :D

Jill, Thank you so much for posting that video. :)^ :)^ 800 people on one airplane.... WOW! I loved looking at the wings from the rear - it looked like a bird gliding in flight. I don't know if anyone else noticed, but they flew over Moffet Field and the historic HANGAR 1. That is where we stayed for a while with the Wright Flyer airplane. They put it up on the "sting" as it would sit in the wind tunnel. For several months, it was on display to the public (the sting put it about 25 or 30 feet in the air!) Then, we moved from Hangar 1 to the Wind Tunnel to prepare for our wind tunnel test. Bottom line, all went perfect, but we were probably as nervous as the folks who built that 800 passenger aircraft! :D
