WOW! It has been pouring rain here. More tomorrow - and Saturday, there is an 80% chance of rain!!! I usually leave around four in the afternoon to go to the jam, but if it is raining hard, I'm staying put! I went to the store today and stocked up for a few days. No rain going to the store or coming out and loading the car. However, when I was about 5 blocks from home the sky let loose and it poured so hard it was hard to see the road! When I got home and parked, it was still coming down, so I decided I would call a friend and chat for a while. Ended that call. Still pouring!! Called my best friend in CA to chat and catch up.... no one home. Then I called to check on one of our local friends. She hadn't been out in it, but is going to a big jam in Corpus tomorrow. I reminded her that she may be driving in heavy rain..... She said "I know... but this is a special show they are doing". In other words, she's going... no matter what. (She's 80 something and headstrong) Oh well! Actually, I think one of the people going with her will drive for her. Not sure if that is good or not............. |

Lala, thank you for posting those adorable photos of Buttercup! I snagged the two headshots to send to my friend in CA who collects/loves giraffes. I meant to do that today - will get Buttercup on his way right now!! Thanks again! |
