<::: A quick report on the Cranberry Orange Apple Bread that I made this A.M.....It is Fantastic ! Lots of complex flavors going on. DH loves it!

I also taste compared it to the "traditional" recipe on the back of the Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberry Bag...that I baked the other day...they both are delicious...each has its own character. I am glad I have made both recipes. I will be making more of this Cranberry Orange Apple bread in December ...to give as gifts. :)^

DH and I just got home from doing all the shopping for Thanksgiving. We got a small (12 lb) fresh turkey. DH prefers the fresh. I do, too. It is just going to be the two of us this year.

I also remember well being taught cursive and wiring in ink. Believe it or not, I still write to a few friends. Up until a few years ago, I wrote in longhand. Now with my partially paralyzed right hand, I type my letters. :( Most of my friends have beautiful handwriting. It is a shame it is no longer taught!!

Sandie, I am enjoying your photos a lot. Thanks for sharing. :Hugs:

Linda, welcome back. I missed you. Can't wait for :clk:

Budweiser - boo, hiss.

We have two squirrels who have caught on to DH's routine of giving out peanuts. As soon as they see him, they run up the back stairs to wait on the upper deck for their treats. It is quite a sight to see the jays, curveball thrashers and the squirrels all on the deck or railing waiting for DH to dispense the goodies. rofl

We have had the infrared game camera out the last couple of nights. We got some great shots - both stills and videos - of a deer family (buck, young male and doe) devouring apples. The coyote is also helping himself. If I ever get my computer beck, I will post some photos.

OH, Sandie, Look what you made me do...I've spent all the time since my last post looking for these pictures of my parents and me, sometime around 1940 or so. That's our 1938 Chevy that we had until 1951.

Mina you are such a cutie patootie in those :clk: 's and instantly recognizable too :)^

Chiquita I agree with you about the Budweiser ads. Remember what happened when Coca Cola launched their new recipe and what happened then.? That didn't go over too well and soon faded into oblivion. I hope that they keep their iconic Clydesdales and they aren't planning on getting rid of all their horses. Perhaps they should ask people on social media about their plans and then sit back and wait for the reaction before they do something so drastic

Sandie you are so lucky you have another member of the family who can identify people and send you lots more :)^ I hope you do find the letters and other missing memorabilia especially since the terrible disaster that happened to your Aunt jewel and her son. :Hugs:

Cat that is so much fun seeing the animals and birds coming to get their daily goodies from DH. I told my sister about your night vision infra red cam because they get all kinds of animals visiting at night too. Hope you can put a few pics on here :X:

Mina I think you look a lot like your mother :)^

Cat you and DH will enjoy this picture. 1985 DH and two friends and I went to Acapulco. I said I don't care what else we do but I want to go fishing. I went first and caught this sail fish. Then Cathy caught one and the captain scratching his head said MEN no fish??? No men no fish I said rofl He also taught me how to bait the flying fish. He kept trying to help me bring it in and I kept saying NO!!! It's my fish I'll catch it. Course now I sure couldn't do that. I once dated the guy that caught the world's record Marlin. 1,500+ pounds. It had an 80 lb tuna in it's mouth when he caught it :><:

OMG Sandie and Mina - I love those pictures! They are so precious!!!!!!!!

I only have 1 or 2 pictures of my parents when they were young, because they are still at my Mom's house. The same with my siblings and them, Mom has most of them.

MINA...Lovely :clk: of you with your Mom and Dad. What a Cutie you were and still are. :D

SANDIE...That is quite a fish!!! Now we know your enjoyment of fishing goes back aways. :)^

CAT...Oh how I would love to be a little mousie on your deck, seeing your Vic with his peanuts and his critter friends. So much fun every day. :D

Now, back to the kitchen for me ....before starting dinner...I want to make our Garlic and Herb Butter for the Turkey. This year I decided to do the "Turkey in a Bag" technique...have not done it that way in several years. Last year I brined our bird...it was delicious...but I like to do it different ways one year to the next. I picked out our fresh turkey on Friday....Albertson's is holding it for me in their refrigeration ....much colder than ours.. Will get it tomorrow, when I get the last minute things I need. I LOVE THANKSGIVING AND THE WHOLE THANKSGIVING WEEKEND! :D

Looks like our Easties are in for snow/rain for Thanksgiving. That is great cooking weather, but not good if having to travel.

These are in wax right now. I like the color and the shape etc. They still feel different but better! Still have some tweaking to do then off to Switzerland!!!
He said he does about 3 of these a week. But my case is still the hardest he has encountered.
