Thank goodness I finally have a date for my RFA!!! It will be the 17th. It takes about two weeks to recover and then back pain should be gone I can hardly wait.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radiofrequency_ablation. The nurse brought me new grab bars for the bathroom today. Now I just have to wait for someone to put them in so I will be safe in the shower

Sandie, when we moved in to this house, one of the grab bars came off. Turns out who ever put it in just neatly plastered it to the tile! It came off and took some tile with it!! I can't think of the correct word.... The vertical boards inside the walls that are about 12 inches apart. That's what the bar should be firmly attached to....NOT "glued" to the tile. I think the "Level" carpenters use also have something that finds the nails so you know where that vertical board is. Keep an eye on whoever does it Sandie and make sure they do it right!! |

Hello to the rest of the chat gang! Carol, I've been off all week. These are furlough days (without pay) for hubby. It's the 3rd year the district has done this to save money. We still enjoy the days even though it's technically a cut. Jill, Sandie, Wendy and her first halibut! How sweet these pics are.Sarah and I decorated half the house with Christmas stuff. Sarah is a worker, and when she want to get going, I follow along. It's still a bit early for me, I'd rather wait until Saturday or so, but that's okay, too. And I have to get these birthday wishes in for Vicki! HAPPY BIRTHDAY VICKI! HOPING YOU HAD A GREAT DAY!!!!!! |

In case you didn’t see this before or just want to re-watch it, it is amazing Interesting event that happens at Yosemite in the spring. It is hard to imagine that Yosemite is only 60 miles from Fresno where it never, ever snows and rarely gets below 32 F in the dead of winter. This is an incredible video! It only happens in March and April. I have never seen a creek come to a complete stop like this before and then start up again some place else. It's like a lava flow - Turn on your sound. Now just enjoy......................... http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=9V9p4...=medium#t=15=15 |

MARSHA...How fun that your SARAH is ready to jump in on Christmas decor. We will begin on Monday...when "old friend Christmas Tree" is brought up by DH and he reassembles. Since we are huge NCAA Football, Hoops and NFL fans...Thanksgiving lasts 4 days for us .....Football, Hoops, Food and more Football....although DH will be racing with his buddies on Friday. I'll start putting away Fall decor while he is out on the Big Blue Playground....to get ready for Monday. JILL...Chilled Turkey...

Jill, thank you for the Yosemite video. I have never see Frazile ice. However, I have been in Yosemite in mid-November when nights are already very cold and the falls freeze. We were walking in the very early morning when the sun first hit the canyon rim and the ice starts to melt. It is like someone is turning on a faucet very slowly. The water begins to flow and the sound level increases. It was pretty amazing. Only my friend and I were there to experience it. No one else was outside that early. I want to wish you all a happy Thanksgiving. It is going to be beautiful here in western Colorado. There is snow on the ground and the temperature is rising just enough to keep it, yet make it nice to be outside. There were eagles on the river in three places this morning as I drove to work. That always means a day will be special.Kathleen New Castle, Colorado |
