The turkey is in the oven. DH helped me - both good and bad. As I was making the stuffing, I asked him to get my enamel roaster out of the wine cellar and wash it. When I looked over, he was wiping it out with a dry rag I use for dusting! I rinsed it with warm water before I let him put the stuffed bird in it.

PHEW!!!! Finished our First Course...SunDried Tomato/Feta Cheese Ravioli and Roasted Asparagus. DH is cleaning up from Round One...I am taking a sit-down break for another 20 min. or so. We ended up having to put on the A.C. by 10:30AM.... it was 83 degrees in the Kitchen and I had just turned on the oven to pre-heat! We had our First Course indoors....but we will have the Main Event outside in about another hour or so. ![]() BTW...The Apple Pie I made yesterday ....well only half left for today's dessert. DH first took a schnibble mid-day yesterday....then he requested it for dessert last night. When I got up at 6:00am today, he informed me he already had another piece with his morning coffee. CAROLE...I hope you were able to enjoy the Birthday Party event for you friend last evening. JILL...Boy I must be the most gullible woman ever....I thought you were serious with that Popcorn/Turkey! CAT...DH and the Roaster.... |

We just finished dinner - it was wonderful! Everything came out so well. Now I am so stuffed I am not sure I have the energy to take my shower and get things ready for tomorrow. I am going to rest up for a little bit to see if I get some energy. I hope everyone has a great evening. |

Karen - The birthday celebration last night was great and I lasted the whole evening. Everyone was forcing me to drink water (which I have to do) but after 4 large glasses, I was up all night going to the loo  Tonight I hope I get a decent night's rest, will watch football in bed. |

Penny asked: Linda that is quite the menu...where exactly did you cut back? Usually have an antipasti spread, and of course the pasta course ( usually lasagna or stuffed shells!!!) .....also no cheese cake (Quit the soup course years ago!) It would be a day long event.... Also learned that one plate of a thanksgiving meal can be anywhere from 1500, 2500 and up of calories!!!! ...but it was sooo good and I did all the work plus exercised this morning!!!

Jill, you had me going for a minute there... had to read the entire thing before I knew for sure it was a joke... I was like, there's no way the popcorn will pop inside a turkey...

Enjoying the Cause for Paws Rescue on FOX. Lots of fun stories and antics...like best Puppy Feud...and the winner is ...Puppy vs Ice Cube Celebrity look-a-likes and other crazy dog games plus performances by some stars ![]() Some heart rending stories of dogs living on the streets too
The best part is they are all up for adoption or you can donate to the Pet Finders who rescue them

Oh my. Our local Walmart did their first Black Thursday/Friday event. It was my first one! I will certainly do that again. It was so orderly. They had several lines for everything that was on sale. If you were in line in the hour and they ran out of items you got a voucher to pick it up before Christmas. I really liked the whole thing except the standing part. I sat on a large tub of paint  Dinner was with my landlord and her son and Wendy. It was nice to not have to cook. Well I made carrot cake for desert. I have a very clean kitchen!! I was wondering if there is another site like this one? I am very thankful for the friends here. I bet not too many people have a group of people like us that give each other support and kindness and caring group of people we are. Thank you so much to all of you. Glad you all were here this year. it was not an easy one for many of us. ounds like everyone had a nice dinner. It was 83 degrees outside at 10:30 am! I was watching the snow fall in new York at the Macy's parade. Bet Deb was really enjoying the snow! Ok night night for now
