Good Morning Marti and Chat Friends! Happy Friday after Thanksgiving. We have full tummies and relaxing before starting the Christmas rush. Hubby and I, later in the morning, will be going to a memorial service, up in North County. We're still hoping to have a quieter day today. |

Hi Jill, I'm sure your Thanksgiving was blessed. That is insane!!!! Mike has now jumped over 300 times (with a parachute)! I think that's insane, too. Strangely though, a part of me still wants to try it, now that I'm under that maximum weight limit, because of the tandem jump for a newby. |

It's going to be a busy day for me today. I got up kind of late and I need to take my car to the smog inspection guy - yet again. If it doesn't pass this time it means getting a new transmission. Wish I could afford a new car. Then I have to go to a friend's house and have him take my picture outside with my guitar. They want it for the interview and DH and I have scoured all our digital photo files and can't find one. I know of several that I've seen, but don't know where they are. It's so nice to be organized...NOT! I'm not going anywhere NEAR those Black Friday sales. I even hate the Christmas shopping crowds. They make me feel so hemmed in, especially when I can't get down the aisles because there are so many people there. Laurie, good wishes for a delightful trip to Catalina next week. Have a good day, everyone! |

HI CRUZERS... ![]() PENNY ...Squirrel Graphic so cute! Just back from grocery store for our weekly order...all produce replenished. I put our entire Turkey Carcass in the crockpot at 6:00am ...with onion, celery, carrots & garlic to make Turkey stock. Will let it slowly cook for 10 hrs. It is another toasty day here. Ready now to kick back with lots of NCAA Hoops and Football today and for the weekend too. |

NATHAN is sure a handsome Bloodhound. His "expression" is quite confident in his own prowess and physique.

Well I did Black Thursday at Walmart. I sat and waited in line to get the tablets for 29.00....good buy. We met some nice people to chat with too. I watched people come and go and all the employees helping others and us so much. If I had been working I would have been frantic I think. I only saw a few frantic faces on employees. Customers were for the most part very kick back. The way they had it all organized was wonderful. If you were in line within the 1 hour guarantee you got the item. Either they gave it to you or they gave you a voucher to come back to the store before Christmas and pick it up. This was the first time doing it for our new store here and I think they did a wonderful job. Mina you could do that!!! There was no pushing etc and it kept the lines in the store aisles and left the main areas open. Why do the publishers want a picture of you with a guitar??? You have many hidden talents Mina!!! Hope you don't get a cold from the AC.Marti that was a beautiful opening. Marsha.......Mike jumped 300 times???Wow! I wouldn't mind going in one of those rides where they haul you behind a boat. As long as I was able to land in the boat and not fall in the water. Karen I used to make stock like that also and then pour it into ice cube trays and freeze it. That was when I had a family I was cooking for I took Bernie and his cage outside and cleaned it all pretty. He is out there now watching all the birdies. The blue scrub jay came and sat on the fence and the two of them talked bird to each other. It is hard to believe in the 80 degree weather we have today that we will have a major storm come thru on Wed. I love weathermen when they are right! I guess laurie is getting ready for her exciting adventure on the island. I bet she will have a blast. Carole how are you getting along with that stone? I hope you are continuing to hydrate so it will push that thing right out of you!!! |

Penny I watched that yesterday!!! I didn't know the prize was 20,000.00. Then the cost of puppies goes beyond imagination. Guess winning that show is pretty lucrative  |

Yesterday with the temprature at 86 degrees our family gathering for Thanksgiving couldn't have been better...food, fun and more fun...inside for the main meal and outside in front of the fireplace for pie. Today, a much more somber day...DD and family lost their cherished and loyal companion and escape artist extra ordinair, Raven, their black lab. She was their first dog, no show ring for her like the other canines in the family, just a nice looking lab...the perfect family dog with a wonderful temperment. I will miss her. Chiquita |

Chiquita I'm so very sorry for the loss of Raven. Our pet family somehow mean so much to us....almost as much of a loss as human family member. It doesn't seem fair to lose family around the holidays. It seems to have a deeper sting to it somehow. Bernie is upset at me now. I am no longer outside with him. Rudy was moving dirt today and now Rudy has left as well. Poor Bernie is outside all alone. Guess I have to go and rescue him. |
