Karen, my mom wanted to have Thanksgiving this year. At her age she is more comfortable in her own home... even took a small nap during the day. Katie, looking forward to your village pictures... I put all of the Thanksgiving away this morning.. No holiday showing for now.. just some fresh flowers.. Will start Christmas in the morning when I am again 'fresh'. Putting it all away was a job. |

Lala, loved all your photos of Thanksgiving! Thanks for sharing. Congrats to your son and wife on their baby. Penny, great video of dogs and cats in the snow. I had a little cat who would sit at the glass door and hiss when it snowed! Once it stopped, however, she loved to go outside and play in it!

DH and I took a short break from football to eat dinner - a repeat of Thanksgiving dinner. Now I am again stuffed but will go back to football. I just hope I can stay awake. |

In this week's issue of Pasadena's Colorado Boulevard is an interview of -- guess who --me! It's kind of exciting. Here's the link: http://coloradoboulevard.net/mapping-the-artist-mina-kirby/ Loved the video of the dogs and cats in the snow. And Linda, all your photos of the Thanksgiving celebration. More to LAURIE on your birthday!

Thanks! Scout looks so happy on his platter Your photos are beautiful and Sasha is magnificent. What a lovely surprise to find out that the baby is a boy I'm feeling rotten, lots of pressure in my lower stomach. I wish this stone would just pop out soon, we are supposed to leave for Florida on December 10th so I am stressed out. Sorry for complaining but I am so down in the dumps.

Great article, Mina. I remember your poem from the Christmas get-together at our house. It's in my file and I come across it at times and give it a read again.

Carole Sure hope you get rid of that stone real soon. That is a bummer. Lala - I forgot to offer my congratulations on the news of your new grandson to be. Boys are fun.

Here are a couple of pictures of the village. When Martin arrived last week he wanted to put the village up but we said "no" as it takes so long to put up and take down. Martin was devastated and was in tears. He begged to put up a smaller village and he would do the work and take it down. Of course sucker grandma agreed. We started around 9 on Monday and he finished at 8 that night. I couldn't believe how he stuck with it. I had to place the back row but he did all the rest. He chose all the houses and people, decided where they would go, and did all the wiring. Not a wire to be seen! The next morning he packed all the tubs and took them out to the shed. I was in awe. ![]() Adam helped with the snow on the front so he gets some credit. |
