The boys love riding in Lightning McQueen. We've had it since Martin was 3 and it's still very popular. ![]() They had just come down the bank and were very pleased with themselves. |

MINA...Oh, I loved reading your interview and all the photos are so good. Loved your self portrait drawing. You are such a caring and talented lady and no matter what difficult cards you have been dealt healthwise...you keep that beautiful smile and keep overcoming them. KATIE...Martin did a beautiful job...looks like a city with blocks and blocks of streets and he created it all on one large table. Equally impressive is that next day he packed up all the used parts and restowed them! How great is that!!!Oh, yes ...Adam did a fine job on the snow too. CAROLE...So sorry you are in so much discomfort. Try not to think about Dec. 10th to add more stress on yourself. You can always leave a week or so later....after all you are staying quite a long while in Fla. Yes, I know, there are schedules and plans for gatherings of family and celebrations planned there....but if those thing must wait...then it will. Now please take a deep breathe and do relax. Stressing is not going to make that miserable stone leave you any faster...in fact stressing only makes it worse!

Thank you all for the cheerful birthday greetings! Lala we don't know anyone on the island to pick us up so we are going to use the shuttle to take pick us up and take us back. I'm glad they have that option! Taxis are way more expensive! We went to see Mockingjay at the theater. Seemed to keep pretty much in line with the book. Now I'm down for a nap before dinner.

Happy Birthday Laurie That's the extent of my graphics I'm so happy for you to be able to get to Catalina on Monday. What a terrific Birthday gift. Wish you could stay longer but the rain kicking in may not be too much fun! Mina like I said wonderful secrets of YOU!! Wasn't that nice to do an interview of you for the paper Karen I'm telling you you need to do greeting card writing. Lala My Father in law built his house in the 50's also and looked very similar to your Mom's kitchen. I was looking at the serving dishes.....big enough to hold what you need to feed 30+ people The festivities look wonderful. So nice your mom is still around to enjoy being there with you all.Katie your post brought a tear to my eyes. The boys did a terrific job of decorating. My daughter and granddaughter used to put together a village just like that one and they would come to my place and set one up for me too. After DD passed and the house was "closed" they left so much behind, the houses and lights and decorations were among that stuff that accidently got forgotten. Along with the cradle built by her Grandfather for her and my Granddaughter and Great Grandson. I wish I had know I would have taken them all. Carole start meditating. You need to be calm and serene so that stone won't have squeezing sensations around it to keep it in there. Take deep breaths in thru your nose hold it a couple of seconds and blow it out thru your mouth very slowly. That helps with all kinds of pain. If you want me to give you some instructions for self hypnosis you can call me anytime and I will gladly walk you thru it. I have my little fireplace going. It crackles just like a real one and warms the living room more than enough! Been busy today with plans for a get together on 12/13/14. I am BBQing a turkey (without popcorn Jill  ) and everyone is bringing a side dish. If you are local please come. We will eat around 4pm but come anytime before. Even if you aren't local please come if you can!!! I've been planning a surprise and I hope it arrives by then!! Marsha. Glad you got everything done. I went out today to get some soil amendment and to make a CD for a friend. I was gone 2 hours!!! People are driving insane.

Lala, I love the Thanksgiving pictures! Those wood cabinets that your father made are gorgeous! What a memorable Thanksgiving! Katie, your village is so lovely. I don't blame Martin for wanting it to go up!!! Carole, hugs for you and your continuing health/stone problem. Hoping you get over this real soon. I made chicken soup for dinner. It's suppose to start cooling in a few days, and chicken soup goes a long way. We'll take some to SIL, Pauline. She has not been eating well, lately. Her age is taking a toll. Low 80's, many people are still quite active, but Pauline never goes to the doctor and does not eat healthy. Allison, can also take some soup back to her apt. tomorrow.

Hi Sandie, Hmmmmmm, what kind of a surprise are you planning? ![]() Notice, how I have not been doing graphics with PB lately? My computer is just so slow. My BIL, told me on Thanksgiving, to delete and clean out my history. I did that and it did help -this morning.

Jiller - This is for you The Turkey Shot Out of the Oven Writer: Jack Prelutsky The turkey shot out of the oven and rocketed into the air, it knocked every plate off the table and partly demolished a chair. It ricocheted into a corner and burst with deafening boom, then splattered all over the kitchen, completely obscuring the room. It stuck to the walls and the windows, it totally coated the floor, there was turkey attached to the ceiling, where there'd never been turkey before. It blanketed every appliance, it smeared every saucer and bowl, there wasn't a way I could stop it, that turkey was out of control. I scraped and I scrubbed with displeasure, and thought with chagrin as I mopped, that I'd never again stuff a turkey with popcorn that hadn't been popped. |

Carol - Jack Prelutsky is one of my favorite authors/poets. I used to read several of his poems a week to my Kindergartners and that one was a favorite. I had forgotten all about it and Jill's stuffed popcorn didn't trigger a memory. Thanks so much for posting the poem.

Carole Sure hope you get rid of that stone real soon.
That is a bummer.
You are such a caring and talented lady and no matter what difficult cards you have been dealt healthwise...you keep that beautiful smile and keep overcoming them.
