Just finished dinner - more Thanksgiving leftovers. Even a small turkey (12 lbs) lasts a long time for just two of us. I think this was the last of dinners with all the things we had on Thanksgiving. DH is going to cut the meat off the bone and make green chile enchiladas this week. I love his chile verde! Now both of us are ready for a nap! I hope I can stay awake for more football. Laurie, I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

Boy, our scrub jays are hopping mad! One of the younger quail stole a peanut that one of the jays had "hidden" under some leaves. I didn't know quail liked peanuts!

Woweee, Catm, such wonderful critters in your yard! And leftover turkey sounds wonderful. Since we made the turkey up in Orange County, we left the leftovers at my sister's house. Rain is expected in So. Cal. on Tuesday, so .... Sarah and I figured out where the problem lies with the lights, but hubby went for a drive, and he knows where the extension cords are, and which ones to use. Took the chicken soup to SIL, Pauline. She is not doing well at all. She just drank the broth/liquid out of the bowl, but the veggies and the meat are nourishing for her. We'll see what the next step is. She has resigned to the fact she may have to go to the doctor. Almost nap time. |

Ugh just getting here today. It is cold and raining here this morning. Not a lot but enough to get things rinsed off. Carole I'm glad you are at least trying to relax. Think EJECT!!!! Cat I have a lot of birds in my yard too but I dare not feed them. The rats/mice that live around here would love the seed feast. I'd love to feed the deer tho if I had any!!! Lala I just realized what you said about the boy baby. Congratulations. New babies so special. I made a DVD for my friend in Nebraska of lots of pictures during the year. She has no access to internet or TV so the DVD is the only way to keep in touch with her that way. Sometimes we talk via cell phone but she must save her minutes for necessities. Carol wish you could enjoy your home more. If you lived here I would help you find a cute place like mine. Katie the boys looked so cute. Having a good time i'd say!!! Linda what a terrific trip you must have had. Nice tootsies! We have a mud slide on Pacific Coast Highway. They have closed the highway. The campground (Sycamore Springs) has been evacuated. Laurie a lot of the tour will be riding in the truck with Maria. Sure is unusual to have rain and too bad it's coming when you are going on your tour but just relax and enjoy. Maybe your hotel will have a fireplace? I can not seem to find my Christmas tree in storage and no one remembers it getting on the truck.....just like my patio set. I did finally find my movies from way back when. I'm going to take them to Sammy's camera and put them on a DVD. A present to me! Marsha you're going to love my surprise Glad Penny is ok. Good she keeps in touch with us. |

Oh goodness. I just felt like I was in Covert affairs....that TV show??? It's the first time I have ever purchased anything on Craigs List. I bought a couple of pillows oh wait just in case DD would read this before Christmas I should not put it here  they are for her!!! We met in Burger King parking lot. Very public otherwise I probably wouldn't have done it.Sheesh  I feel very mysterious lately It will be worth it Marsha Katie I hate it when TV and internet is out. Did we have those problems when we used those antenna's? My friend has everything thru TWC and she has constant problems. so far so good with Dish/Direct Satellite. but I understand they are not too reliable in bad weather. Wendy bought something called Roku. She said she really loves it. It streams TV and Netflex etc without all the buffering. |

Jill, are you retired? Nahhhhhhhh. You're still a working girl, right? I can't remember if it was Lala or Penny or somebody else who posted the Purina Dog Show winner. I finally watched the show. If was on Thursday, Thanksgiving Day. The only thing, is all the dogs are now shown when going through the breeds. Feeling tired. Good Night Friends. |
