Hi everyone! We arrived late yesterday afternoon, unpacked, and then went to Publix grocery shopping. Came home so exhausted and went to bed early. The trip down here was wonderful and we missed the big Toronto snowstorm, weather was perfect all the way to Florida. More shopping today (I'm all shopped out), Targets, Trader Joes, Total Wines. Alan just left to bring his golf clubs up to the club and get organized for his first game on Monday. Jeremy arrives Tuesday Lots of catching up to do, see you later

Carol, I LOVE your Norfork Pine tree!! Sooooo pretty! DH got a cutting from someone years ago. It was large and on the outside deck. Not doing so well now. There is one 12" piece coming out of the soil. I'm thinking of transplanting it and crossing my fingers. I stopped at a Garden Center yesterday nearby that I wasn't aware of. They had Norfork Pines in pots. They had one that was full and up to my waist and the main trunk must have been 2" across. I asked her how much for this particular one as it was larger than the rest. She said they are all $14. I grabbed it and when I got in the building, I saw the pointsettia that I love. It looks like a rose in full bloom. And I got some plant food for my plummie. |

Wow, Marti, you hit the jackpot. Carole - So glad you made it to Florida safely. Rest up so you are ready to send us pictures of the Pond Critters. I look forward to them. Mina - Sorry to hear the news about Ginn. Hope things get better for her quickly. Not good about the leak in the hall. You probably need to call the roofer and have it checked out. Water should not get inside with wind. Call and be safe. Washed my hair this morning. Wes says it looks like I have 3 stitches up there. Since I took a pain pill I could style my hair gently without it hurting. Think it's getting better. Stitches come out on Friday.Have to wrap some presents today. This evening we are going to a Christmas dinner show with friends. Should be fun.

Marti, I love those nails! Enjoy them!! Mina, so sorry to hear about Ginn’s problems. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Katie, Carole, so glade you made it safely to Florida. I am totally worn out. After I wrapped all the Christmas presents, we went grocery shopping. I cannot believe how much worse my right hand has gotten in the past year. It is almost useless. Since I am right handed, it makes everything more time consuming and difficult. I even had to ask the clerk at the store to get my credit card out of my wallet. Then I couldn’t sign the receipt! I scribbled something with my left hand – I hope the credit card company doesn’t reject the sale.

HAPPY SATURDAY...WELL ALMOST OVER NOW...HOPE ALL ARE HAVING A GREAT DAY/EVENING. CAROL...Happy to see your Norfolk Pine Tree still fits into the room! I forget how many years you have had it. Must be getting more difficult to bring back inside...but glad it still works...so pretty! MARTI...Nice finds at the Garden Center...I know exactly pointsettia you are talking about...they do look like rose blooms. I see you mentioned GEORGE...is he posting on F.B. I think of him often and he is doing well.CAROLE...WOOHOOO!!!! You are there and wonderful news you were able to avoid the bad weather in the N.E. Now....do rest up, relax and enjoy as each of the family members arrive...please remember....YOU do not have to do all the work. Say "YES" to any and all offers to help with cooking, straightening up etc. ![]() MINA...I hope GINN can get the cortisone before she goes back. Yes, a lot for someone so young to have to deal with. Will keep her in my thoughts and prayers also. We have new leak also...a big one over one of the French doors...DH thinks it is the flashing above ...where flshing meets the roof. We are able to capture most of the water as it comes in containers...plastic on the floors and towels. DH said we will need a Roofer to do the work, not something he can tackle as there are many parts to the repair work. Will wait until after New Years...besides...after this last storm...ROOFERS ALL OVER WILL BE IN HIGH DEMAND. |

Hi Peeps, Happy Saturday! Marti, I LOVE those nails!!! Sounds like you really scored at the garden center!! catM, sorry to hear your right hand isn't doing so well. Katie, hope your head feels better soon. Have fun tonight! Mina, so sorry to hear about the issues Ginn is having. I was diagnosed with IBS too. Condolences for the loss of her "adopted" great grandmother. Carol, I love your norfolk pine! Karen, I would love to get that flax muffin recipe. I don't like peaches, but peach cake if you like peaches is probably The Emergen-C and a 4-5 hour nap after work did the trick for me! I was feeling much better after that, thank you. Yes, I can now have as many pets as I like. 4 cats will definitely be enough! Never thought I would have 4!!! Carole, glad you and DH made it safely to FL. Kathleen, yep, just call me the crazy cat lady!! mountain lions I picture your living in a very beautiful part of the country.Linda, so sorry about the news of your cousin's DH ![]() We had some more rain yesterday and this morning one of our white oak trees fell. Luckily it didn't fall on any structures...just smashed the corner of the picnic table, next to the gliding bench, and scared our landscaper who was here blowing the leaves half to death! The tree was on a bit of a slope and I think the ground is just so wet it gave. It isn't a large diameter tree, but its probably 50+ feet tall. The top of the tree is lying in the creek. The picnic table is about 5-10 feet from the creek. Here are a couple of pics of it: ![]() ![]() |

That postcard virus from Hallmark is rearing its ugly head again. Do not open any attachments if you get one of these ![]() BEWARE and tell everybody you can think of. Better to be safe than sorry. I checked Snopes , and it is for real. Get this E-mail message sent around to your contacts ASAP. You should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK , regardless of who sent it to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD IMAGE, which 'burns' the whole hard disc C of your computer. This virus will be received from someone who has your email address in his/her contact list. This is the reason you need to send this email to all your contacts. If you receive an email entitled "POSTCARD," even though it was sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. It has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee and there is no repair yet for it. This virus simply destroys the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept. Originally this information was circulating in November 2012  |

It is one of myfavorite things / I put it out as soon as frost passes in the spring and bring it in before frost in the winter / I used to have it on a h36 in. stand / Then I put it on a 12 inch stand/ this year I had to put in a larger pot and it was above my dining area window. So now it sits on the floor and is a bit lower than to top of the window / I can barely lift it / I have a little trolley to wheel it in and out / I love it!!!!!!!!!!!This is the photo from last year / BTW the way the drapes I painted . Is my own design / CatM - Nice you could do Christmas shopping / So sorry to hear about your hand / Would it help if you tried Exersizing with a small ball in your hand / A friend of mine that had surgery a while back on her hand used a small ball to exercize it?
