Happy Sunday Cruzers <3 <3

Today we will be going to the first sitting of a festive meal at Amber Meadow with Mom followed by a choral performance of some kind. It will probably be the last day of above 0C temps for us too, another foggy overcast one but it feels great anyway :**:

Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday. I probably won't be back until much later today.

Carole
I was so happy to read you had gotten to Florida safely. You picked the right time to leave :D I bet Maya just loves it too. Wish we had a Trader Joe's :D

Mina what a lot of problems for Ginn. I hope she can have the shot and tests before she goes home :X: She's far too young to have chronic fatigue but with all her medical issues it's no wonder :o

Praline doesn't it feel great to change up your look for the holidays? Too bad about the tree but its a good thing it didn't hit anyone or damage a home.

Carol your curtains are so cheerful and your Norfolk pine is gorgeous :)^

I'm going back top bed now...I always seem to wake up around 4:30AM these days and I don't know why

<::: POND CRITTERS

Early this morning I saw this osprey preening in a tree across the pond and then Woody the Woodstork flew onto the pond.

Good Morning, all!

We woke up to snow. My kind of snow - covers plants, trees and grass but not the walks or streets. :)^ I don't think it will last very long as it is above freezing here and will go up into the upper 40's.

Carole, love your pond critters, as always. We have so many critters here but no pond ones. :D

I need to finish up wrapping so I can get all the gifts in the mail tomorrow. BBL :}^

Good Sunday Morning Dear Chat Friends!

It's good to be back home and to wake up to greetings from my friends, Catm, Carole, Penny, and all the others who just have not posted yet. :D

Mom is about the same as I posted from my sister's computer, Friday night.

Soooooooo, I'll move on to something more cheerful like Catm's, snow! :flk:

Carole, your pond critter pictures are lovely. I told you I look forward to those every year.

Penny, enjoy your day with your Mom.

Greetings to all :}^

Cat, you need to get a few photos of your plants covered with snow! What a wonderful Christmas card that would make! I would frame it next to the very same picture with a spring photo. :)^ Maybe one for each of the four seasons...

Been on the computer tooooo long. I need to get some things done. Have a great day!

Carol...How lucky you were able to maintain your tree for so many years...that takes such special care.

Carole...Nice to see the pond critters again this year.

CatM...I always wonder what passes through our yard at night...our motion light comes on frequently but by the time I notice it, the night marauder has moved on.

Penny...Thanks for the heads up regarding the virus.

Christmas decorating seems to be going at a slower pace this year...but the cards were done and out last week. I spent about 20 min in the post office last week with one package to mail..18 people ahead of me...oh, what a circus...people with packages that were not secured properly, people that changed their minds regarding packaging, etc, etc, etc....just gotta have lots of patience and a positive attitude to get through it. For me, it was an observation on how many people don't think ahead. Tree has been in a bucket of water for three days...we'll bring it in the house today and I'll do the lights this evening.

Lovely outside today but more rain coming tomorrow PM.

Lala...Did the eagle's nest survive the rain and wind??

...We awoke to another surprise this morining. :o

The carpet in the Master Bath potty room was wet. UhOh!

DH has opened large section of the wall...found the culprit...pin hole in the copper piping ....Plumber is coming at 7:00AM tomorrow. Meantime we have water shut off to the house...DH went to hardware store to get clamps that can be put on hole...so eventually today...we can turn the water back on.

I keep gallons of emergency water on hand as a precaution against loss of water due to natural events..i.e. fire, earthquakes, floods. etc. so we are good in that dept.

I am proud of DH , he is taking this well, even though he has be working away since 6:00 A.M. opening walls, hauling dry wall, shop vac, water extuder machine. etc. He is "my hero". <3 :)^

Karen, so sorry to hear about your leak! You are lucky your DH is handy.

I am done with all the wrapping and packing. I have printed out the postage and scheduled a pick up by the post office for tomorrow. I haven't actually gone to a post office in years. :D. Not only is it easier but also it is cheaper if you do it on line.

CAROLE...So good to see your Pond Critters again! Happy old friends for you 3 to awaken to each day. :D

CAT....It is terrific that pick up service is available with the Post Office!

Update...DH has the leak clamped. He called plumber again and told him we are able to turn the water back on...so that gives plumber a breather...as plumber is very busy. Plumber now coming tomorrow afternoon or Tuesday. He told Mike that clamp will hold up fine. Kind of like when you watch an old hosptial show and the surgeon is operating and holds out his hand and says "Got a Bleeder..Clamp Please". :D

Dehumidifier going in the potty room...carpet drying nicely...and the wood in the walls. DH opened all the drywall to any wood that is wet and sprayed wood with a mildew prevention solution. So we are good for now. DH is now having a well derserved :Zz: .

Okay, so it's 5:15ish and we're still on page 1.

Karen,
thanks. :Hugs: <3 back. Oh no, about your water leak!!!! That can truly be a big mess!!!!!! Hoping it gets resolved soon.

Catm, I was thinking the same thing as Marti, about the snow pictures you can post for us to see. :D

Chiquita, the post office this time of year? Good Grief!!!

Katie, when I drove back yesterday from Orange County, the San Bernardino/Mt. Baldy area moutains had a beautiful blanket of snow :flk: :flk: !! Hopefully, that means an even better blanket of snow in the Sierras for our state.[/color
