Our neighbor's Granddaughter gave birth to baby girl at 2:30AM this morning. Jessica did have a very difficult delivery....Little One is doing well...but does have a small fever....so too does Jessica....and there are still some post delivery problems for Jessica. My neighbor, now Great Grandma ...is going to the hospital this afternoon....then she can see for herself how all is going for Jessica. Different family members are scheduling their time to go to visit Jessica...so as not to cause too much excitement at this time. Most importantly Jessica needs to rest and stabilize and quiet time and to get to hold and know her beautiful pink bundle of Joy. Her husband is very protective of Jessica and now his new baby girl. He realizes many family members want to be there...but he is holding back many family members for now. Smart DH and now new Daddy.

Well, no rain here yet. Earlier the doppler showed it all west of us and now it's all east of us. Came up through Orange Co and stayed east. More rain forecast for tomorrow. Mammoth has another 12 to 18 inches of snow and it's still snowing. Doesn't look like we'll have time for a quick trip but we'll be there in February. Karen - Congratulations on your almost great-granddaughter. I'm sure you feel like she's an addition to your family also.Carole - Loved seeing Woody again. Carol - You look wonderful all decked out in your red hat and outfit. Peetie - Wonderful pictures. Can't believe the mushrooms in December.Lala - Sure hope that nest comes down quickly so your pair can get busy building a new nest in a more stable location.Marsha - So sorry you have so much on your plate at this busy time of year. |

KATIE...Yes we are very happy for my dearest neighbors and the birth of their first Great Grandchild. DH and I have known Jessica since she was 4 years old...and she lived many years with my neighbors...we watched her grow up....she is now 26yrs old and will be 27 years old on Dec. 30th. I am very excited and also still very concerned about Jessica's post delivery issues. Hopefully, as the hours pass thru this day...things will improve for her and that the small fever baby has will be resolved also.

Hi Peeps, Karen, sending prayers for Jessica and her new baby. Carol, you look great! I am enjoying having my house back to myself for almost a week now. Its sooo quiet ![]() Well, I have a kernel of a new idea and a big decision to make...I am thinking about moving up to Fairbanks so that I can see Lily on a more daily basis, see her school plays, etc. She is just growing so fast and I am missing it all. There is a planner job opening up there. I decided to apply and see what happens. I don't want to live in Fairbanks at all. But I do want to be in Lily's life. I would probably rent out my townhouse here so that I could come back to it in case things didn't work out. It is such a big decision to make! |

Karen, prayers for Jessica and her new baby. Penny, I am not sure if I am having any impact on transit for handicapped people. I certainly give them my perspective. I think they need to hear what it is like to have to use the services. I just wish I could convince a few of them, who are totally clueless about some of the problems, to ride the van once. I was able to convince the director of transit for the city to at least have a disabled person provide input on the vans before they purchase new ones. The vans they bought three years ago are not very "accessible" and are so high that they do not fit under the portico at the VA where many of the riders go for medical care! Vets have to be dropped off quite a ways away from the door and cross a busy road to enter!!!

Oh Woweee, Praline, that is big decision. i'm sure that is something to really consider if you want to be more a part of Lily's life. When she's fully grown, forget it! Who knows where she'll settle? It may be nearer or in Oregon. Karen, congrats to your neighbor! Greatgrandchildren... How wonderful! Babies are wonderful and a blessing! Looking forward to pictures.Hi Katie, so far this season, it's been pretty good for California, but of course, we can use the snow, too!!!! San Diego had a few very light showers, but it stopped. It's still cold and cloudy. |

Just talked to hubby. He stopped to see his sister, and said she was getting the dialysis treatment, right now. Maybe, we should not pay attention to what she says.

Marsha, I am so glad your SIL is getting dialysis. While it is no fun (I have been on it for over 6 years), it is life saving. I will keep her in my prayers. Praline, that is a big decision! I know you will make the right one.

Finally finished my tree.. it has become quite a job and I can see why some use artificial trees. But I'm the stubborn type. Took two days but all finished. I vacuumed and even shampooed the carpet... Karen, congrats on neighbor Jessica's new baby.. no name yet?? Jessica shares her birthday with my son Joel. DH is on 29th so we usually combine... Peetie, as always, I enjoyed your beautiful shots. As Penny said, they are worthy of printing and sharing.. you must love going out with friends and camera. Carole, thanks for pond pictures.. we do love seeing what you get to see... Praline... Fairbanks has eagles!!!
