Sorry I haven't been on the forum very much, Maya was sick with her intestinal problem. Yesterday she had diarrhea with blood but wasn't lethargic or looking sick. This morning her poops were almost normal. I spoke to my vet in Toronto and he said to just monitor her and feed her a tiny bit every few hours. Hope each day she gets better, I am such a worry wart when it comes to my animals. I stayed up most of the night watching her as she slept through the night. :Zz: and I didn't

So sorry to hear about Maya's upset tummy. Give her lots of cuddles from all of us :ok:

Posted Image Here's a rose for you from her :D

Was up early, early this morning. A few days ago I told the family that I was retiring many of the items on the Christmas menu this year and replacing them with something new! Why not...? Actually, I didn't tell anyone which items were eliminated...!!! We'll see how it all turns out. A bit more on the Italian side of the family represented. Also, a new lemon tart with a gingersnap crust. Oh, I won't completely abandon a couple of the favorites, but, for the most part a new menu.

A nice warm day today...may get up to the mid-eights but by Christmas down to our more seasonable 60's.

Karen I'm sure this Christmas will be a very happy one for all of you and it will be memorable for your GS and your DD too. Can't wait to see more of your holiday decor :)^

Chiquita that sounds like a great idea and the lemon tart :Yum: :Yum:

We are having the most unseasonable December weather ever :**: The downside is the freezing :rn: making everything quite slippery and people who like to ice skate are having a problem with no ice on the outdoor rinks :o We will stay warmish until Saturday when the arctic air flow will impact us again.

We have -1C/30F here right now and it will be -3C/27F for a high Christmas eve and Christmas Day and then it dips down to a high of -17C/2F on Saturday. There is no new :flk: :flk: predicted right now either :<::

Laurie I know this Holiday season will be very bitter sweet for you and David and all your family :Hugs:
We are all amazed at your strength of spirit and I know you are facing your imminent demise but your courage in the face of your future is so inspiring to all of us who have come to know you since you joined this forum. Your final resting place is a beautiful, peaceful spot and if I ever get to San Jose I will visit Los Gatos Memorial Park for sure.

May you have peace and as much joy as you can muster over Christmas and New Years (((GH)))

Thank you! But I should mention that I'm in San Jose, and the memorial park is in very nearby Los Gatos.

Carole poor little Maya. That is no fun for either of you. Yes we are all worry worts over our little people.

Karen how can anything get any better than having your family there with you after so long. It must just feel like such a blessing. Everyone has HUGE grins on their faces.

Carol it sounds cold where you are. I just adore your hat. You'll have to put it on and model it for all of us. Delightful that you will have company Saturday. Nice that they are close enough to come for a visit. Wish you could drive there.

Praline I guess you got the best Christmas present possible with your DS moving out. Hope you have a good next few days.

I have been shopping but it's so crazy out there I'll just get stuff after Christmas. I can't bear to get my little girl out of the car one more time.
