Good Afternoon and Merry Christmas Eve! My computer is (Internet connection) kaput. I wanted to post this am, but could not. On hubby's comp. again, after returning from hosp. All of the graphics and pictures are wonderful! Not to be a bummer on Christmas Eve, last night we got a call from the hospital, Pauline was moved back to ICU. Her lungs are filling with fluid due to her kidneys not working well. We talked to the doctors and didn't realize there was a connection. They started her back up on dialysis. I hope she pulls through, we're just worried she may not always bounce back. I'm at peace with the fact the hospital was doing all they could to help her. |

Thanks so much catM and Peetie. Tomorrow, I'm going to see my Mom, but I think hubby needs to stay here in San Diego near Pauline. Allison or Sarah, can come with me - for just the day. One can come with me and one can stay here with their Dad. Thanks again. |

![]() Tonight is the traditional night for luminarias in New Mexico. The hope is that the little lanterns will guide the spirit of the Christ child to one's home. |

DH and I are going to start dinner. We decided to start a new Christmas Eve tradition: rib eye steak, baked potatoes, salad. I hope everyone has a wonderful evening. |

Oh, dear. I did something and lost my post. Will try again. I've been really busy sewing, baking, cleaning, and helping Wes with cards. Finally everything is done. Roasted veggies last night and made soup for tonight before we leave for Christmas Eve rehearsal and service. Then finally will put my feet up in front of the fire and enjoy some Christmas music. I made the little boys pj's this year. I think they turned out really cute. ![]() Then I made Christmas napkins for DIL. ![]() Yesterday I spent the day making our families traditional Swiss cookies. Really yummy. Have the son's portions packed and still have some left for ourselves. Tomorrow we drive to San Diego to spent the day with the oldest son and family and then hopefully we'll have a few days to take it easy. We will have the boys over New Years and they promised to help take down the villages and put everything away. ![]() I'll try and remember a few post I skimmed over the last few days. Peetie - Love your Scrooge. I have a Dicken's Village up for Christmas. The Grandson's added the Scrooge figures to the village. Your's looks more like Scrooge. Carol - Love your red hat. That has real class. The feather is a nice touch with the jeweled pin. Mina - that all goes well with your trip to Ventura. How nice that you will have company for Christmas. And Sandie, too. Cat - Love the luminaries. There is a street near us where everyone participates and puts them up lining the street and the drives and walkways. We always drive by returning from church. I look forward to seeing it tonight. Carole - Can't believe we already have a bobble head in the nest. It's only December. I guess Florida stays warm all year. Jill - Love all your videos. Sometimes I don't have time for them all but always try to watch most of them. Thanks so much for keeping us entertained all year. Laurie - Continued prayers for you and David. I think of you daily and pray for Blessings on you both. In case I don't make it on tomorrow I wish everyone greetings this evening. [SIZE][COLOR] ![]() Hummmm Not sure why no color. Well it suddenly appeared so I'll leave well enough alone.

Marsha so sorry to hear about your SIL. Sending some Cruzer mojo her way ![]() Carol glad you got home safely. It has been here since 4:00 PM so we have a winter wonderland for Christmas ![]() My Mom's HomeCare worker just called us and you wouldn't believe what my Mom did tonight. She actually barricaded the inside of her apartment door so they wouldn't be able to get in to give her her meds and why did she do it? because she wanted to go to when she wanted to and not be disturbed. So this is the nature of the disease...and any amount of arguing doesn't make a difference. I reminded her that she can go to bed whenever she wants to but she still has to get her meds when the Dr. says she has to have them. She actually hung up on me when I tried to explain all that to her too I can't believe she pulled that stunt especially on Christmas eve Tomorrow we will spend most of the day with her and she may not even remember her whole escapade this evening. She says she will move if people keep disturbing her when she wants to sleep and she absolutely loves her apartment. Well, she'll have to move to where she will have absolutely No control over anything if she gets too difficult for them to handle. I need an eggnog IP now |
