OMGoodness Sandie, she is just adorable!

Be VERY careful with that hairdryer... think about how it feels when you are too close to your own head... also always, always use a diffuser... even on your own hair... it can burn too!

Linda you think she is cute!!! But if only you could feel her coat. She is just like what a cloud would feel like. Good advise about the hair dryer. I so seldom use it on my hair!!! She's sitting in the living room barking at her own reflection in the sliding glass door. Hysterical.

It's sort of quiet here on Chat today. It's the Day After...

Lala's, Norman Rockwell picture says it all! I love those green socks, Santa. :)^

Penny, such wonderful pictures of your Mom.

Karen, thanks for the kind words about my Mom. :Hugs: <3

Sandie, the other thing about owning a white dog, good luck with the eyes. We are constantly cleaning the gunk out of the corners of Louie's eyes.

I was disappointed today in that I went to Hallmark Store to buy Christmas Cards made in the U.S.A. Huhhhhhh! Out of a whole rack, only 2 or 3 individual styles were made on American soil. I will not buy a card made outside of the U.S.A. except for Canada and Mexico. I don't think Mexico makes very many cards. NAFTA - The North American Free Trade Agreement-if it's still in place?

I know we are not suppose to be political here, but what the dif. if we post patriotic stuff or promote things made in North America? :D

I agree with you Marsha. There just isn't much WE make here anymore. It's entirely too difficult. I don't mind Canada as much as I mind China and Mexico. It's made by slave labor in my opinion.

The breeder said to only give Akeelah water from a filter. Or that water from a bottle. It cuts down on the gunk from their eyes. And also she said rawhide will do the same thing. I've been using the water and that has made a significant improvement.

LOL I guess we have entered into a whole new phase.....now she is eating toilet paper/paper towels and when I try to take it away from her she runs from me. :hair: I know I'm not supposed to laugh at her but I can't help myself. rofl

2bed I'm just so sore from all the stuff I have been doing as well as having those injections. So I'm off to bed to lay down and relax.

Sandie there are lots of products to help get rid of the tear stains on white dogs faces...videos too. This is the bane of all owners of light coloured dogs :P

This article is a good for explaining about it. Check out what she says about the drinking water too :ok:

One of the best things for a teething puppy is those cotton rope bones. They come in all sizes and can be machine washed and bleached to clean them when they get really grungy. The soft texture massages their achy gums and even helps when their puppy teeth start to be pushed out by their new teethies. They love to play tug-of-war with them too. In my experience it totally cut out all the other annoying behaviours, like chewing on furniture legs rofl

Penny I read that article. Have you tried any of those remedies. I'm a little afraid to do those. She whips her head around so much when I try to hold her face still. I'd be worried about it getting in her eyes. The other thing all of a sudden is licking and sometimes even eating her poopies. She doesn't seem to chew on furniture or wires etc. YET  And how do you avoid the feeling of her going in her crate and not feel like punishment? It makes me feel like i'm punishing her :hair: :hair: the food isn't working any longer as an incentive to go in there since I closed the door. She is completely wary of the whole thing. :8O: :hair: :hair: :hair:

I called the police last night. We both heard these loud noises. Akeelah even barked and she seldom does that unless she is playing or at her image in the glass!!! They didn't find anything but it still was spooky. And I always feel a little bad if they don't find something.

Finally, I am getting onto the computer after two days!

On Christmas, I had a totally delightful time at Sandie's lovely house. As you all have seen in her photos, her living room is just beautiful. I enjoyed Sandie and Wendy's company immensely, as well as cutie pie Akeelah's! And Sandie fixed a delicious meal after she told me she didn't feel up to cooking and let's go out to eat. Yikes, Sandie, you truly outdid yourself. Everything was so delicious, even the apple "things," which reminded me of baked apples. Her table setting looked like one of her "fair" table settings. So nice.

The trip back home frightened me half to death because of the trouble I'm having with my eyes. I made it OK, but was scared. I came in the house, put the cheesecake in the frig, made a trip to the bathroom, sat in my chair and I was fast asleep. That homemade cheesecake that Sandie made was super yummy. I took it up to a friend's house last night and added it to a dinner he prepared.

I spent most of the day yesterday at the Honda dealer spending money I don't have on service. It was just the normal service, but they noted about $3000-$4000 or more worth of work they recommend be done. Wish I could buy a new car ... a hybrid. Maybe some day. My car is 16 years old.

My friend came down this morning to check out my washing machine that wouldn't work. It worked just fine. Grrr...not that I mind the fact that it now works, but I have no idea what was wrong the other day. Oh, well...better go in and wash clothes while it still feels like operating.
