Our New Years Eve day started off spending time with Mom for lunch and the afternoon. ![]() Mom was supposed to go to the Amber Meadow New years last night. There was non-alcoholic champagne, entertainment, party hats and horns but Mom did not go because she was too tired after spending the whole afternoon with us and not getting her usual nap. We called her before going to dinner and she said "I'm 94 and I don't care about going to parties anymore" but I'm sure she would have gone if we had been there with her.We had a terrific dinner later last night with ten friends. This was an expensive restaurant and we had discreetly told the wait staff to keep our drink and meal tab separate from the others because they were mostly family, so when DH went to pay for ours, he was told it had already been taken care of. Very Nice!! Then we went over to the ritzy condo of our hostess for champagne and dessert, coffee etc to ring in the New Year. There were a dozen of us plus a few other couples who came just for the dessert before midnight. One of them was the former director of the WAG where there is a Dali Exhibition which we haven't seen yet. Co-incidentally my sister sent us many holiday photos yesterday including this one of her DS. it was done with some kind of app on their phone ![]() ![]() We ended up getting to at 2:30 AM and I am so behind with packing and last minute 'To Do's' it is making me  We are leaving tomorrow and I won't have my own computer so will try to check in once in awhile. Have a great start to 2015 everyone and special prayers for Laurie and David ![]() |

It was so nice to see The Rose Parade this morning. So many people lining the parade route under that bright blue sky. We were living very close to The Morton Simon Museum which the parade route passes by every year. Nice memories of being there came flooding back ![]() Carole thanks for doing the screenshots of the Florida nests because I haven't had time to watch any cams. The in both those nests all look like they are being stuffed to the gills :lol:Sandie you are doing a beautiful job training your puppy Poop eating is so common but I am fortunate my dogs never did that. DS had a GSD who tried some horse droppings once There are a lot of bunny pellets in my yard. I will have to sweep them up into the garden beds in the Spring just in case Siobhan gets interested in them ![]() Marsha how lovely you were able to spend time with your Mom and she wanted to hold your hand Baby steps but improvements just the same ![]() Deb glad you and ES got a little caching in. I always like to hear about where you find them and what is inside. Good idea to take some more time for yourself in 2015. We should all do that Carol stay safe driving in those winter conditions. Great to hear the Portland are back at their nest You are the only one of us who is constantly seeing eagles, except for Lala who is checking on the Casitas pair when she can. That is an extra special blessing ![]() Okay, I have procrastinated long enough...cosmetics and dog stuff still to organize and it is after midnight ![]() |
