I have a chatter that would like to know if some of the nests are still Effected by the residue of DDT in the water off of Catalina. Would also know if this could have effected with the Sauces Egg(s) |

Because we don't remove the eggs anymore, we haven't had any information on their DDE contamination since at least 2008. I'm sure it is still in the environment, but we have no way to determine how much is in the eagles. I would expect failure from thin egg shells to occur within the first couple weeks of incubation. |
