PLEASE READ The Nest Observations/Nest Watch thread remains open...as long as there are cameras...which are operational...to watch. Normally the VCOE and the IWS work on the cam equipment during the fall/winter...so the cams may go off from time to time...but we are normally advised by them if they are working in the area. Just a few Gentle Reminders about posting on this thread. (Helps to save time when reading through it.) Please remember that it is the CHANNEL ISLANDS NESTS ONLY, either on or off camera, that we post our observations/comments about. There are FIVE IWS nests with cameras online, so it is important to know WHICH NEST you are observing. Please put the Initials at the start of your post. . . . ♦ ALL NEST CAMS - http://www.iws.org/interactive_nestchat_allUstream.html . . . ♦ BC = Bald Canyon on San Clemente Island - Temporarily unavailable . . . ♦ FP = Fraser Point - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDEInf3CNh0 . . . ♦ SC = Sauces Canyon (WMP) - http://media1.vcoe.org/eaglecam2 Temporarily unavailable . . . ♦ SC = Sauces Canyon - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHnvyzM0MNc . . . ♦ SC = Sauces Canyon (Explore) - http://explore.org/live-cams/player/sauces-bald-eagle . . . ♦ TH = Two Harbors - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yh1sIcKJkhM . . . ♦ WE = West End - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0lLd4fQw8dc These nests are all in California...so it's Pacific Time on this coast. We prefer that the Quote Button is not used on this thread...and if you must use it...because you are referring to something on a previous page...then take TEXT only...never captures or video. Thanks! |

“A request from Dr. Sharpe”
To make it easier for the biologists to see the prey deliveries, please limit the use of the blue fish to prey deliveries only. Begin your post with the nest initials, followed by the time of delivery & the blue fish.
Thank you! |

Bringing Forward Posted 12/30/16 by Dr. Sharpe on IWS Chat regarding the wipers: "The entire dome rotates past a wiper. There is also a sprayer for when you need to wash something off the dome. Only WE and TH have the self-cleaning domes." |

SC 7.25 A40 returns from the right front with another branch, but needs to work with the bramble branch first. He places it along the 9-10.........don't think it will last there for very long in the wind. 7.26 Cam begins to zoom in just a bit, A40 glances to the front. He steps his way up to the 8, 7.27 He looks outward, then flies to the left front |
