I've got a heart that can hold love... Sara Ramirez, Grateful
|
Okay so I was sitting around thinking off and on today and my head got pretty cloudy with ideas. Bascially I am starting a series as the topic description says. The series it's self will be called... Journey... There are going to be smaller stories within the series that are fairly short... I have no idea how long this is going to be but I have this feeling it could get rather long... So about the series... This is set after the season finale after Addison has been in California for a few months and Callie has divorced George. The reason for Addy leaving really isn't quite explained in the show so my explanation is basically that she was scared and she ran. She ran because she fell in love with Callie. Now she won't go back even after she knows Callie is divorced. Time goes on and Violet and Naomi both can see how this is affecting Addy, but she doesn;t feel she deserves to be happy, because SHE left. So she's miserable, she's not eating and whens he does it's no where near what she should be eating. She's not sleeping and when she does she takes sleeping pills by the bottle. Her eyes have bags under them, her lean and fit body now thinner than she should be, she is practically killing herself. She cries, and she wishes she had the Seattle rain to hide her tears because the California rain just isn't like the kind they'd get in Seattle. So she leaves after talking with Naomi. She goes back to Callie and what she left behind. They're there for a while looking for a place to stay and going through a lot of crap that I decided to put them through and you can kill me for it later I have a feeling you'll want to...(you'll have to wait and see for this juicy bit) Their new trail is moving in together and meeting the parents... (should prove interesting, hum which set will be more accepting I wonder) before they go to California to stay the both of them because they realize as long as they have each other, they'll deal with it. Eventually I am sure this story will end somewhere but until then that's all I have for you right now. Hope you are intrested because I know I am... |

hahahaha suck up! Chapter One Bring on the Rain: Part One Addison was driving to work watching the scenery pass by. She loved the scenery in California, it was beyond beautiful. It was sunny and warm all the time. Maybe that’s what made her a little more depressed and caused her smile to fade, it was amazing how the California sun could make you smile, but yet inside you felt so eerily depressed. There was hardly ever any rain, even when it did rain. This type of rain couldn’t hide her tears, all it did was wet her face a little more. She had tried to run again if she was truthful to herself. She told everyone she had a great opportunity and that she had to move on. But that was nowhere near the truth. She had fallen in love again and with the most gorgeous woman she ever saw, who was too hung up on her husband to notice. Addison couldn’t do it, she couldn’t watch Callie throw herself at him in every attempt to save her marriage. She couldn’t watch or listen to Callie talking about having a baby with him. It hurt, it hurt to the point she had to leave. They had kept in touch and she knew they were now getting a divorce after Callie found out he slept with Izzie. She wasn’t pregnant and she was lonely. Addison and her had talked about this many times and she wondered why she didn’t just drive up there and whisk her away. Oh that’s right she left. She left Seattle and in doing so left Callie. At least that’s how she saw it. Naomi told her she was just scared. And she was scared, she was scared to death. Addison pulled into the office and parked her red speedster. She loved having the top down driving around feeling the wind in your hair. The breeze smelling like the sea. It was lovely, but it wasn’t Seattle. It wasn’t where she wanted to be and everyday that passed only convinced her more. But she felt that since she left that she didn’t deserve to go back and be happy. Lord knew that everyone thought she deserved it, everyone but her. ________________________________ its small becuz i havent written anything to come after this first story yet so this one wont be updated as often until i get the next story going just letting you kno ahead of time |

hey you guys I am so sorry I have been totally just researching and pounding out the smaller stories for this series that I lost track of when my last post was. hope you enjoy the next bit... Bring On The Rain: Part Two She walked into the office with her purse in her left hand not paying any mind to where she was going. People dodged her left and right getting out of her way, because if they hadn’t and they bumped into her she laid right into them. The one time Dell bumped into her by accident she nearly took his head off. The poor kid. People talked about her, but she didn’t care. They said she was washed up. They said she was lacking. They said she lost her mojo. But the only thing she really lost was her heart. And she felt that deep inside and it ached. She sighed heavily laying her purse on her desk and looked out the window crossing her arms tightly over her chest. She watched the waves hit the shore and each time they hit the shore it was like a small stab to her chest. She had been so wrapped up in her thoughts she hadn’t realized Naomi walked in. “Addison?” Naomi walked up beside her placing a gentle hand on her back. “Addison.” She said softly. She turned around and looked at her best friend and tears streamed down her face. “Oh Addy.” Naomi did the only thing she could do and held her arms out. Violet was walking by just then and saw them. She stopped and poked her head in seeing Addison balling her eyes out while Naomi tried to soothe her. Violet patted Naomi’s back and just watched as Addison let all her pent up frustration, loneliness, and anger out through her tears. Violet had tried to help several times but it never seemed to help in the least, it just upset her more. A couple of minutes passed, well it was more like twenty, Addison stopped crying and pulled away hugging herself again. She had simply turned back to the window watching the waves again. Violet pulled Naomi aside. “Look Nomi, I know you don’t want to let her go and all because she’s good for the office, but she is miserable and in pain.” Naomi nodded. “I know. She won’t listen to me though. I talked to her. She’s in love with Callie and she’s afraid, she’s so afraid that Callie will turn her away. She doesn’t believe she deserves to be happy.” They whispered quietly. Violet nodded and felt her stomach drop. “She hasn’t been eating.” “I know.” Naomi was getting sick to her stomach seeing her friend like this pained her. “She’s taking sleeping pills to force herself to sleep and when she doesn’t, she doesn‘t sleep.” “I know.” Each time Violet brought up something else that Addison was doing to herself it made her stomach hurt even worse. “She’s barely alive.” “I know.” “If this keeps up Nomi, we’re going to lose her anyway. She’s slowly slipping away from us all. She so thin and fragile nothing like when we saw her the first time. If this keeps up Nomi, she’s going to crash, and crash hard.” “I know.” And for both Naomi and Violet it was getting more and more painful to see Addison slowly slip away from life. Violet left shortly after. Naomi had to be the one to tell her to leave and go back to Seattle. ________________________________________ So this part was a little longer I hope you enjoyed it... will try and get my butt in gear so I can update more for you guys... Will be cracking out some good writing til then... lata |

LOL well you knwo I aim to please and make ppl feel better so I'll give you MORE... Bring On The Rain: Part Three Addison was still staring out the window when Naomi walked up beside her. They watched as a surfer bailed and a wave crashed down on him. “It’s strange you know.” Naomi looked at her. “California sun has a way of making you just smile, but everyday I feel like that surfer. Like the waves are just crushing down on me.” She said sighing. “Addy you need to go back, you need to leave.” “Naomi…” Addison looked at her. “No.” Naomi held her hand up shaking her head. “If you stay here Addy, you’ll slowly disintegrate into nothing. Look at yourself Addy, look how thin you are. You’re weaker, you’re always sad even if you’re smiling, you don’t eat. Jesus Addy, you’re killing yourself here. You have to go back.” “I… I can’t Nomi, she’ll hate me.” Addison looked away. “You are so full of shit Addy. From the way you describe this girl of yours she sounds nothing like that type of person. You need to at least try, for yourself, please Addy I can’t stand to see you like this.” “What if I don’t come back?” “Then you don’t come back, but you’ll be happy. You’ll be a live again. And I won’t lose my friend.” Addison nodded crying. “Thank you.” “Well what are you waiting for? Go…” Naomi held her arms out and Addison slid inside them hugging her tightly. She pulled back slowly, smiled, and grabbed her things running for her car. She drove mid morning through traffic humming softly to the songs on the radio. After she got off the main stretch of highway and onto the back roads she just watched the scenery pass her by. The sun peeking through the clouds over head. The shades of green, purple, blue, yellow, orange, and red as fields and farms were passed along the way. She passed township lines, then county lines, and finally state lines. Just as she reached the Washington border an unfamiliar song came on the radio. Another day has almost come and gone Can’t imagine what else could wrong Sometimes I’d like to hide away somewhere and lock the door A single battle lost but not the war (‘cause) Tomorrow’s another day And I’m thirsty anyway So bring on the rain It’s almost like the hard times circle ‘round A couple drops and they all start coming down Yeah, I might feel defeated, I might hang my head I might be barely breathing - but I’m not dead Tomorrow’s another day And I’m thirsty anyway So bring on the rain I’m not gonna let it get me down I’m not gonna cry And I’m not gonna lose any sleep tonight |

Bring On The Rain: Part Four Addison couldn’t believe just how perfect that song seemed to fit in her life right now. Days and weeks then months slowly passed her by so many things went wrong in her life. Derek, Mark, the baby, Alex, Callie marrying George, her leaving. All she wanted to do sometimes is crawl into a deep dark hole and never come out. It always seemed like she lost the battles in her life. Trying to please her parents, trying to hang on to something that was never there. She wanted the rain to hide her tears and make it feel like she was back in Seattle, but the California rain was not Seattle’s rain. She knew she was slowly withering away to nothing in California as happy as she wanted to be she couldn’t be not without Callie. So this was it, she wasn’t going to let it get to her anymore, she wasn’t going to cry and she was going to sleep well tonight in Callie’s arms. She was set on it. Nearing Seattle she called Callie. “Hello?” “Callie!” “Addison? Is that you?” Callie asked not fully recognizing the scratchy voice on the other end. “Yeah, yeah it’s me Cal. Where are you?” “I’m at the hospital I just got off shift.” “Stay there.” “What do you mean stay here. It’s pouring.” Addison looked up at the black sky nearing. She was driving right into the storm. “I know. Just stay there okay.” “Alright.” Addison hung up her phone and put it securely in her purse where it wouldn’t get wet. She braced herself as the droplets started to fall against the windshield and hit her forehead. A couple of droplets turned into a torrential down pour, but Addison didn’t care that her car would be ruined, the rain felt so good. She felt cleansed from all as the weariness and depression slowly was weeded from her mind as a smile, a real smile played at the corners of her mouth for the first time in months. She drove into the hospital and parked her car outside the main entrance where she knew Callie always walked out. She looked up from her car and spotted the raven staring out the window. She got out slamming her car door drenched to the bone. Her blouse was sticking to her skin, her face pale without all the makeup, her hair plastered to her face, her eyes though… sparkled. She ran towards Seattle Grace like her life depended on it and her shoes were beyond ruined before she even made it across the parking lot splashing through puddles, but she didn’t care. Her legs were cold and covered in gravel from her ankle down and she didn’t care, she just wanted to get to Callie. Callie looked up spotting Addison running in the distance. “Oh My God!” She dropped her things and ran outside to her. “Addy! What are you doing?!” She yelled. Addison slowed her pace to a light jog until she was about ten feet away. “What are you doing?” Addison crossed her arms until she reached Callie and she took her hands. “Callie, I made some really stupid mistakes in the past, but this last one, leaving you… Was by far the biggest mistake of my life. I should have never left. Even though I was smiling on the outside I was dying on the inside.” She paused taking Callie’s face into her hands. “I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t live… I can’t live without you. You asked me what I was doing… I am coming back to Seattle, back to the Rain, back to You. I love you Calliope Torres and I need you.” She was crying but you couldn’t see it from a distance the only one who could see it was Callie and she was crying as much as Addison was. Callie didn’t say a word, she simply leaned forward taking Addison’s lips with her own. ![]() End Of Chapter One |

Awww you guys are seriously great you know that! I am so glad you like it! So this is Chapter 2 of the series.. It's mainly about Addison and Callie finding a place to live, because they hate staying at the hotel. The don't know when they are leaving Seattle if they will ever and they want something to make their own... Trials and tumultous events to follow this chapter stay tuned... btw the parts to this one are longer so there are only two parts... Chapter Two: Picture Perfect: Part One Callie was sitting at the kitchen table one morning and was reading the paper casually while Addison read People. “Addy, do you want to go back to California?” Addison looked up at Callie taking a sip of her coffee. “Well I like it there, Naomi is there obviously, sure I want to go back eventually. But I‘m not leaving without you.” Callie nodded. “That’s good to know. And when the time comes I want to go with you.” “Really?” “Yeah Seattle is kinda boring.” Callie said holding up the newspaper. “Especially when the only news to report is rain.” About a month passed with them just staying at the hotel but, Callie and Addison both decided that it wasn’t going to work out staying at the hotel. It was too impersonal for them both at this point. They wanted to be surrounded by color and warmth and at a hotel it was not like that. So Addison decided about herself to get them a nice realtor and help them find either a small two bedroom ranch house in the suburbs or an apartment in the city. They took a Saturday off and met with Ms. Delaney and talked over the payments they were looking at monthly with their salaries and also not anything too big where they would have to pack a lot of things when they moved to California. That was something Callie and Addison both decided. Callie wanted a change and Addison had a great job waiting for her not to mention that she already knew Naomi would offer Callie a job there as well. “Ah Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Torres… Just on time.” Ms. Delaney held out her hand. She was a rather old woman a little pudgy around the middle and her hair was a silvery brown. “Ms. Delaney it’s nice to meet you.” “I spoke with Addison on the phone she had said you wanted something small to medium sized because you were looking at moving in about a year.” “Yes, it would be very hard to pack up and move everything once we’re just getting settled in.” Callie confirmed. “How very true. I have set up for you four showings today. Two in the suburbs and two in the city, I hope that’s okay?” “That’s great thank you.” Addison replied noting the woman’s diligence and great work ethic. “So then are you ready to see the first house?” “Yes, let’s go.” Callie said excitedly. Addison shook her head slightly and nodded. They walked out to the realtor’s Nissan Altima and Addison let Callie sit in front. Callie inwardly thanked her because Addison knew that she got car sick easy sitting in the back seat. For some strange reason she could ride a roller coaster, but couldn’t sit in the back seat of the car. As they drove Callie and the realtor talked about specifics. Callie wanted a nice sized kitchen she could cook in. Addison wanted a huge bathroom and bedroom. Callie wanted a walk in closet as did Addison. And they both suggested it would be good to have at least one of those. With that in mind they ruled out one of the houses and went to the other one. The realtor stopped the car in front of an old style Victorian home. Right away Addison could see it was huge. “Excuse me but, this place is huge, it’s just me and my girlfriend. It’s a little much. Did you have anything smaller to look at?” “Well we can go back into the city there is a lovely condo right down from the hospital.” Callie raised her eye brows. “Really, I think that would be perfect. Let’s go see that one.” The realtor nodded and she turned around and drove back into the city. Ten minutes later they passed the hospital. When the car finally stopped Addison noted that it was less than five minutes away. “I really hope you like this place. It’s not too large, just enough space for the two of you I think. There is a lovely view.” She said leading them to the door. “I think you’ll love it.” First we have the garage. It’s for all the residents of the complex and completely covered for weather purposes, so you won’t get wet, that’s the building right there.” She pointed to the building up from the condos. “They’re attached through the walk way there.” She pointed up to the over head covered walk way. She opened the front door. “The first room on the left is the community room for monthly meetings or gatherings held. To your right the gym and up from that on the right the pool. You will have full access to both. The basement holds the laundry room and recreational room, there‘s a pool table in there.” They walked to the elevator and Ms. Delaney took the key from her purse. “I’ll let you do the honors of opening the door.” Callie took the key from her and looked to Addison. She shook her head and took Callie’s hand. The elevator stopped on the twelfth floor and they emerged walking down the right side of the hall. Four doors later Ms. Delaney stopped. “Apartment 201. You‘re really going to love it. The apartment has sweeping views from Elliott Bay to Lake Union, and is the ideal spot to enjoy the city lights and 4th of July fireworks. There’s hardwood floors, granite tiles, large powder room with storage, and dining space.” Callie looked at Addison again and slid the key into the lock easily and twisted. Hearing the click she twisted the handle and pushed. The first thing they saw was the living space for everyday things. It wasn’t too large or too small. “Are those concrete walls?” The realtor nodded. “You could cover it if you want but I think it gives it a nice modern view.” Callie and Addison looked at each other and Addison nodded smiling. “It’s nice I think. The view, wow.” Addison walked over to the window. “Look, Cal, there’s the hospital.” She pointed out the window towards the lower left hand side. “From the bedroom you can see the hospital was well. I think you’ll adore the closet.” Addison and Callie stepped away from the window to let Ms. Delaney guide them through the apartment towards the bedroom. “Oh my God Callie look at that closet.” Addison said standing in front of it. “The bed would look great right over here.” Callie pointed. “And maybe some drapes you know.” Callie walked to the window and opened the sliding doors. “There’s a balcony. You were right look at this view it is beyond amazing. We could sit here for the fourth and watch from the comfort of our own home.” Addison nodded. “I love it.” Callie smiled. “Where’s the bathroom?” “Ah, this way.” Ms. Delaney walked them over and pointed through the door. Not only was there a huge claw foot tub but a huge walk-in glass shower as well. “I think I am in love with this place.” Callie said excitedly. “Let’s see the kitchen.” They walked back out through the bedroom and rounded the corner to see the huge kitchen. “Callie, I think we could cook a feast in here.” Addison commented feeling the counter tops. “Marble?” “Granite actually.” Callie said. “Black at that. Stainless steel appliances. Oh Addy I love it.” “Me too. Let’s talk.” She said to Ms. Delaney. “Okay, why don’t we all take a seat at the bar. Okay the listing price is $469,500.” Addison nodded. “With twenty percent down that would be a monthly payment of $2,374.” “What about 70 percent?” “Seventy?” “Yes, seventy.” “That would take it down significantly. If I have my calculations correct its $890 a month.” Addison nodded. “The interest rate is 6.5%. Taxes are $3,756 yearly. 827 square feet. Built in 1979. Uses electric not gas. Anything else you want to know?” “Where do we sign?” Callie asked with Addison smiling. “Yes, where do we sign?” The realtors smiled and marked the ‘x’es on the paper for them to initial and the last ’x’ at the bottom for them to sign. Once all the ’i’s were dotted and ’t’s were crossed Ms. Delaney turned the keys over to them. “The place is yours now. I’ll drive you back to the hotel and you can decide from their how soon you want to move in and so on.” They walked excitedly behind Ms. Delaney holding hands and giggling. The woman simply shook her head admiring their courage and determination. |
