Title: Little Moments
Author: Me
Disclaimer: Haha they aren't mine obviously
Rating: NC-17 (is there anything else)
Summary: This is my collection of their moments together and my take on them, what I would have liked to see happen on the show once again... What can I say my brain was large at work.

A/N: I started this one over the summer and never got to finish it... Usually I like to finish things before I post them on here and this one is almost done but I figured I'd post it anyway to give you all something to read between other posts...

My muse lately has been Celine Dion (Color of Love, All the Way: Decade of Song, Celine Dion (self titled), Let's Talk About Love, One Heart, Taking Chances (her new one... dude it's awesome I love it))

Part One and Two

*The Carr Case*

“Excuse me for a minute… I uh, I‘ve gotta…” Callie watched as Addison left, concern filled her face. She followed Addison and walked into the bathroom. She looked underneath the stall to see that she was in the middle one. She heard crying.

“You okay?”

“Yeah, I’m fine, I’m ok, I’m good.” She choked and sniffled.

“Don’t make me climb over this stall. I’ll do it, but I’ll be really pissed because I don’t know you that well.” Addison opened the door and looked up at Callie. “You’re not ok.” She held her hand out to the bloodshot eyed, red faced, woman on the floor.

Addison took her hand. “I don’t know why. There’s no reason this should affect me this much. I should be used to this. I am but..”

“Used to what?”

Addison wiped her eyes looking in the mirror. “That woman. Yesterday she’s just as healthy as can be, and today… today her baby’s dead.” Addison cried.

Addison stood outside the window. “They are a happy couple, look at them, they love each other. They should have everything. Happy people should have happy things happen to them. I better go tell them.”

She leaned off the glass and turned around taking Addison‘s hand. “Wait.” Callie said. “The moment you tell them they won’t be happy anymore. Give them a few more minutes. Let them be happy, a few more minutes.” She said, but she still held Addison’s hand in her own. Addison looked down and back up to Callie, she was still looking through the glass at the couple. Addison sighed and turned back to watch them as well.

*Addison feels alone*

Callie sighed as she sat down. “George kissed me. Yesterday.” She paused. “One minute he’s holding a urine bag, the next he’s kissing me.” She stirred her coffee. “Think he’s just freaking out about his dad?” She asked Addison and didn’t get an answer. “Yeah you’re right he’s probably freaking out, I shouldn’t hold him to it.”

Addison turned and looked at her. “What?”

Callie stopped her arm that was half way to her mouth. “Did you not just hear a word I said. I’m pouring my heart out here. Jeez it‘s all about you isn‘t it? All about Addison, everything‘s about Addison.”

“I aborted Mark’s baby.”

Callie put her coffee down. “It is all about you…” She was shocked. “Floor’s all yours.”

Addison pulled her red framed glasses off and breathed deeply. “About eight months ago, I… peed on a stick. And I wasn’t even going to tell him, and then I did, tell him. And he uh, went out and bought this insane Yankees one-see and a calendar to mark the due date.” She paused looking down then back up. “Which I should mention was today.”

“You didn’t want a baby?” Callie asked.

“I wanted Derek. I wanted to have a baby with Derek. I never thought I‘d end up alone.”

Callie touched Addison’s arm. “Hey, you have not ended up anywhere.”

“Yeah, you’re right. I know. It’s just um sometimes…” She swallowed. “It feels that way, you know.” She paused. “This is one of those weeks it feels that way.” She said starting to cry taking a drink from her coffee. Callie placed her free hand on Addison’s knee and patted it gently.

part three and four

*Married*

Addison watched as Alex went by, she looked at him with a deep lust in her eyes. Until he passed and she saw Callie, then she looked down. “Excuse me.” Callie said and walked over. “Yeah you know those cartoons where there’s like a bear or whatever starving, and it looks at this table and it turns into this delicious cooked turkey with like lines of deliciousness coming off it.” Callie describe waving her hand.

Addison had denial written all over her face and got up. “I was not looking at him like that. Because he is the help and I am not going to be sleeping with the help.”

Callie straightened. “I married the help.” She smiled.

“What?!” Addison’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. She was really not expecting that.

“We went to Vegas. My idea, I embrace the trashy.”

“That’s, not that I’m not happy for you, but why so fast?”

“You know those cartoons where there’s a bear and it’s starving, and it looks at a cute intern.”

“Well congratulations.” Addison leaned over the counter to hug Callie and felt a sharp ping in her heart.

She cleared her throat, held her hand out, and put her glasses on. “Oh it’s small.” Callie stated. “I know it’s small.”

“It’s beautiful.” Addison smiled.

“You think so?”

Addison smiled again. “Yes.”

Callie smiled. “Yes.”

*Usually there’s a reason you obsess about things*

Addison was leaning over the front counter her arms resting on it. When Callie walked by. “Hey.” She put the folder down.

“Hey.”

“How’s it going.”

“I caught George in a lie the other day.” Callie said pursing her lips. “He said he spent the day in the clinic, when he spent the day doing god knows what with Izzie Stevens. It‘s probably nothing right?”

“Right.” Addison looked back down. I swear if he hurts her I’ll kill him. She thought to herself.

“Right. So… how’s your man whore?”

“Ugh.”

“Miraculously reformed?”

Addison sighed. “For now.” She pu the PDA in her pocket. “It’s never going to turn into what I want.”

“Which is?” Callie looked up from writing.

“The whole thing, someone stable who barbeques.” She leaned down on the counter crossing her arms resting her head. “Teaches the kids how to play catch. It’s not Mark Sloan.” She got up. “Which doesn’t explain why I spent the entire day looking at Alex Karev like a puppy and a chew toy.” Because I can’t have what I want. She sighed.

Callie gasped. “Why don’t you just go there already?”

“Because!” She shimmied her hair. “He doesn’t barbeque either. Plus he‘s like 12 years old. He can fit all his belonging in a milk crate.” I don’t want him. She sighed again.

“I don’t know..” Callie said shaking her head. “Guys like Karev, look at least you know he’ll never lie to you. Guys like him, they mess around in their twenties. But then they you know pack it in, teach their kids to play catch.”

“Maybe. Ugh.” She patted over her ears. “I need to stop thinking about both of them.”

They started to gather up their things. “And I need to stop thinking about Izzie Stevens.”

“Hey, Callie.” Addison moved around the desk. “Here’s the thing, when you’re obsessing about something like that, there’s generally a reason."

part five

*Missing you*

Of all the times that Izzie had to start with Callie, this week was not the week to do it. Callie didn’t have Addison around to calm her down or talk to her. At least not in person anyway, sure she could call her but she was technically on vacation.

Izzie was in the locker room when Callie walked in. “Oh, look it’s George’s little woman.”

“Izzie Stevens! I will hurt you!”

“Callie, whoa she didn’t mean it in a bad way.” George stuck up for his friend and Callie just looked at him and walked out. “Callie, wait… Callie.” She kept walking.

“Fat cow…”

“Izzie!” George yelled. He was glad Callie was halfway down the hall or he would have an even bigger problem on his hands.

Hours later she was picking up clothes around the bedroom and the rest of the place when she stopped threw everything down and sat on the edge of the bed. She picked up the phone and dialed Addison’s cell.

“Hello?”

“I hate Izzie Stevens and I hate George!”

“Callie…” Addison sighed. “What happened?”

“Izzie Stevens happened. George and I walked into the locker room and she says ‘oh look, it’s George’s little woman.’ He didn’t even say anything. I left and then she called me a fat cow. She is lucky I was halfway down the hall.” Callie seethed. “I want to beat them both over the head with an aluminum baseball bat.”

“Callie, calm down. Breathe.” Addison had this uncanny ability to make Callie actually calm down too. The lightest touch and briefest of smiles could calm Callie in seconds. This time it was simply the sound of her voice that Callie hung on to very desperately.

“He didn’t even stick up for me…” Callie said again letting the tears fall.

“Callie, sweetheart, calm down, don’t give yourself a head ache that’s all you’re going to do.” Addison said calmly. What an asshole she thought to herself. He doesn’t deserve her.

“I wish you were here Addie. I could really use a friend.”

“You know I’m always here for you.”

“I know Addie, but I could really use a hug.”

“I promise, you’ll be the first person I see when I get back and I will give you a hug.”

“Okay. I miss you.” Callie sniffled and gathered herself.

“I miss you too.”

“How’s California?”

“I’ll tell you about it when I get back. I don’t want to talk about it right now. Tell Miranda I said hi?”

“Okay.”

“You going to be okay?”

“I’ll think so. Thanks Addie.”

“You don’t need to thank me. I love ya.”

“Ditto. Talk to you soon?”

“Yeah. Good night.”

“Night Addie.” Callie hung up and cried, she wanted her best friend back. She wanted George to stop being a jackass. She wanted a baby. She wanted to have a happy life. She wanted good friends not just Addison. She wanted to feel safe, loved, wanted. She wanted Addison to wrap her arms around her and hold her while she cried. Because then it would all be better. Addison always made it better. She needed her.

part six and seven

*George doesn’t come home*

Callie had just gotten home from work and set her things down on the table. George was no where to be found. “Where is he, he left before I did.” Callie sighed. He was probably out with Izzie and Meredith.

Eventually Callie got tired of waiting up for George and just went to bed alone, like usual. This wasn’t how things were supposed to be. Why was it that her husband, HER husband was always out with someone else? Seriously he asked her to get married, not the other way around. And if he wasn’t ‘out’ he was with Izzie. Hell he was with Meredith more than he was with her. She felt so unloved.

She pulled the covers up to her shoulders and settled into her bed. Her eyes focused on the storm brewing outside the window. It kind of matched how she felt inside most of the time. For the life of her she couldn’t figure out where the line was with her and Addison. Sometimes she didn’t want to. Other times she wished that she had never married George and had had the courage to say something to Addison. Now she was her rock like she had always been, but it was different now. She was married, and she knew that even if Addison loved her, she’d never break up her marriage, she had been there once and she knew Addison wouldn’t do it again.

Closing her eyes she thought about what it would be like for Addison to touch her the way that she wanted. How her kisses would taste. And how soft her hands would be. Soon enough she fell asleep to visions of what could be.

When Callie woke up the next morning, the other side of the bed was empty, and still made. Un-slept in, George hadn’t come home.

*George and Callie fight*

When George walked through the door he stumbled and fell forward into the bar. Callie looked up and moved from the couch. “What the hell?”

“I was out.” He slurred and bopped his head.

“That much is obvious. Why didn’t you come home?” She questioned crossing her arms.

“I didn’t feel like it.” He dragged his feet as he got on the stool and laid his head down on the bar top.

“Who were you with?”

“Izzie and Meredith.”

“And they let you get this trashed?!” She yelled throwing the magazine she was reading at the couch. It landed there with a light thud.

“Could you not yell. My head hurts.”

“More than your head is going to hurt if you don’t come home again George. I swear to God do it again and I’m leaving.”

“Whatever Callie. Do you even love me?”

“It’s not whether I love you or not. I am your wife and you have an obligation to me.” She pointed to herself. “Not Izzie. Not Meredith. Me. Callie. The Wife.” She slammed her fists on the table. “Are you even listening to me?!”

“Not really. In one ear and out the other.”

“You are beyond hung the hell over George O’Malley, what the hell happened to you?”

“You did.” He said and got up walking to the bedroom removing his jacket and flopped on the bed.

“This is not over yet George.” She slammed the front door shut and went for a walk. She shoved her hands in her pocket and thought about what she had said to him. “It’s not whether I love you or not. I am your wife and you have an obligation to me.” How wrong could she have been. She knew that if she couldn’t say it, she didn’t love him. This mess was more her fault than his, still it gave him no right to drink.

A few hours had passed and she went back to find George in the same spot sleeping. She sighed, he was such a jackass and he never used to be like that. Ever since… “That’s it, Izzie… You slept with her didn’t you?!” She pushed him off the bed. “Get out!”

“What, Callie… wait, I…”

“I don’t want to hear your excuses George. I can’t believe I didn’t see it.” She shook her head and bit the inside of her cheek throwing him and pillow and blanket. “Sleep on the fucking couch and don’t wake me in the morning.”

The next day he did as he was told and simply just left not waking her. When she did wake up Addison was sitting on the couch flipping through channels on the TV. She rubbed her eyes. “What are you doing here?”

“Idiot let me in, saw me sitting outside.” She shut it off.

“Oh…” Callie padded to the couch and sat down curling her legs up underneath her.

“You had a fight?”

“He slept with Izzie.” She said not looking up at Addison. And I don’t love him, I have feelings for my best friend. I am so fucked up. She thought.

Addison tried to find words to say and couldn’t bring herself to say anything. Instead she just pulled her into a hug and held her while she cried. She really wished that she could strangle George.

part eight and nine

*Pregnant women are stalking me*

Addison and Callie were in the wash room and Addison started to complain. “I am being stalked by pregnant women.”

“You’re an obstetrician.” Callie pointed out.

“And barren, and apparently, as a healthy successful woman in her thirties I don’t deserve to have a baby. Maybe I’d have a fighting chance if I were gay? Or a teenager or a member of the AARP.” Addison threw her hands in the air.

“It sucks. Really…” Callie didn’t know what else to say.

“No, oh no.. not you too…” Addison asked concerned.

“Oh no I’m not.” Held her hands up. “I’m just thinking, that’s all.” Callie sighed. “Oh I don’t know. I don’t even know, it’s just that with George going to Mercy West next year…”

“He is?”

“They have a spot for him. We need a fresh start. Get away from all this crap. Might be a good time.” Callie looked up.

“It’s a great time.” Addison soothed. “Don’t let me and my fossilized eggs discourage you.” Addison started to walk away.

“We going to be friends still if I get pregnant?”

“Absolutely not.” Addison smirked leaving. Callie shook her head.

*George and Callie fight again*

Callie woke up the next morning and George wasn’t home. She couldn’t take it anymore. She packed a bag and left. She went to find Addison. She called her first and left a message in case she was sleeping still or was out an about and then walked down to the café. She had a mocha and a bagel but couldn’t bring herself to eat more than a few bites.

She sighed and walked back home to see if George was back yet. He was sitting on the stool by the bar. Sipping from a glass of amber liquid. “What are you doing?” She demanded putting the bag by the door.

“What does it look like?” He said gulping down the rest of his drink. “I’m drinking.”

“Why are you drinking, it’s not even ten o’clock in the morning George?” She said taking the glass form him.

“Hey…” He slurred. “I was going to get more.”

“And you’re fucking drunk, well that’s great George.”

“You know what, give it back.” George got up. “Now.” He held his hand out.

“Go get a damn shower and go to bed.”

“No. Give me the glass.”

“George…” She warned. She put the glass in the sink turned around and crossed her arms. “Where were you last night George?”

“No of your damn business Callie.”

The look on her face turned cold and she stared at him. “You better be believing it’s my damn business. You’re my husband.” She pointed at him. “Where were you?”

“Callie…” He stepped forward. “Leave it alone. Give me the glass.” She looked at him for a moment. “The glass Callie!” He yelled and held his hand out. She jumped at the sound of his voice. “Callie!” He lunged at her stopping himself just before he reached her.

She looked at him, she was scared, she had never seen George act like this before. “What the hell is wrong with you?!” She cried. She picked the glass up. “You want the glass?!”

“Yes Callie.” He held his hand out still not looking at her.

She looked at him. “Fine.” She put the glass on the counter and left slamming the door. Tears fell from her eyes as she walked down the street.

Addison was driving around when she spotted the raven walking down the street, it was unmistakably Callie no one else swayed their hips like that. Addison pulled up beside her. “Get in.” Callie looked over saw it was Addison and got in. She buckled up and looked out the window.

Addison looked over to her friend and sighed. “What happened?”

“We had a fight.” She said sullenly. “I just don’t get it Addie… He never used to drink except on occasion. He was dunk when I went home this morning. He didn’t come home last night. And he…” Callie started to cry. “He yelled at me, not like just raising your voice, but really yelled at me. He lunged for me Addie. It scared me. I have never seen him act like that before.” Addison patted her friend’s knee and continued to drive.

“Why don’t we drive around for a little while until you want to go back home or to my place even. You can stay the night if you need to.”

“Thanks.”

“No problem.” Addison said concentrating on the road and not Callie’s warm hand that settled itself on top hers. It was very hard for Addison to do so.

*Derek, Meredith, Izzie, and Christina come for a visit*
Addison had expected them to be a little late with LA traffic, but this was ridiculous, Callie was already sound asleep upstairs. She sighed and turned the tv off and sat on the front steps waiting. Finally a little before midnight they pulled up in a Cadillac. Addison stood and greeted Derek, then Meredith, followed but Cristina and Izzie.

“How was the drive?”

“Long.” Derek said exhausted.

“Where's the bathroom?” Izzie asked.

“Inside off to the left of the house there is the downstairs bathroom which you will all have to share. Meredith, you and Derek can have the guest room that is closest to the bathroom. Izzie and Cristina you have the one just down the hall.”

They all slipped inside quickly with their luggage in hand. “Wow Addie, this really nice.”

“Thanks, make yourselves at home. I'm going to bed.” She smiled. “G'night.”

“Night Addison.” She heard someone echo assuming it was Cristina since Izzie was in the bathroom and Meredith was occupied with Derek and unpacking. Addison slipped into the bed as gently and quietly as possible but still woke Callie.

“I'm sorry sweetie.”

Calli shook her head. “S'okay.” She said tiredly. She scooted closer to Addison and moved comfortably into her arms and sighed. “I don't sleep soundly unless your with me anyway.”

Addison smiled. “Well I'm here now. Sleep.” Callie didn't have to be told twice. She was exhausted from their day of shopping for the baby. In minutes her and Addison were both sound asleep.

The following day lead to many interesting conversations but around dinner time they all sat around a small fire outback with Sam and Naomi as well. “Have you decided yet?”

Callie looked over to Naomi and nodded. “I'm keeping her.”

“Her?”

“It's a girl.”

“Why didn't you tell us?”

“I wanted to surprise everyone.” Callie smiled. “We went shopping yesterday. We're going to start working on the nursery.”

“That's great you guys.” Derek said sincerely.

Addison tilted her head. “Thank you.”

Derek smiled and patted her knee reassuringly. “You're welcome. You two are good for each other you know?”

Izzie nodded. “Yeah you're great together.”

Cristina also nodded. “So Naomi, any chance you have an opening for a cardio resident?”

Naomi and Sam both laughed. “You like California then?”

“I always have, I went to school here and I grew up in Beverly Hills.”

“Oh wow.” Naomi commented.

“I didn't know you were from California. How come you never told me?”

Cristina shrugged at Callie's question. “It never came up.”

“How is everything in Seattle anyway?”

Derek sighed. “Chief is pissed off for us all taking the same time off to come down.”

“They can't find a good replacement for you.” Izzie said to Addison with a smile.

“Not even you Dr. Stevens?” Addison smiled. “Don't think I didn't know you wanted that as your specialty.”

“I do, but I go where I'm needed.”

“That's very admirable.”

“Thank you.”

“Who took ortho?” Callie asked curious.

“Alex.” Cristina said.

“No way! Shut up!” Callie said smiling. “That's great, he's good at ortho.”

Derek nodded. “Yeah he really got an aptitude for it after breaking O'Malley's arm and nose.”

“He did what!?”

“Yeah, chief made him set the bones too. O'Malley deserved it though, he said something about you and Addison and Alex just laid into him.”

“Wow, what did he say?”

“I have no idea, Alex wouldn't say.”

“It was bad.” Izzie finally said. “I mean I refused to talk to him after what happened but that sealed the deal. He said that you were probably gay from the start and that Addison was a manipulative bitch who set you against him and you both deserved to rot in hell. Alex literally almost killed him. He's really take to defending you two.”

“I don't care what anyone thinks.” Callie shrugged. “I love Addison and I know she loves me. We have the support of our friends, and for me that's enough.”

Addison rested her head against Callie's and sighed closing her eyes. “You're not cold are you?”

Callie shook her head. “No. I am tired though.”

“'Kay.” Addison looked back up at everyone else. “We're going to go in the house and probably go sleep. Lock up Derek?” Derek nodded and the two of them went inside. The next week they all did the same thing every night after dinner. On their last night there Addison and Callie treated them all to dinner at a quaint Italian place by the clinic.

*Decorating the Nursery*
“Addie?”

“Hummm.” Addison walked up behind her and placed her arms around Callie's midsection. Lately the baby has been kicking and Addison just loved when she did.

“What do you think about blue and pink?”

Addison shrugged. “I don't know baby. I mean pink of course and if you want to use blue too we can.”

Callie smiled. “Blue reminds me of you.” She kissed Addison gently and rested her head on Addison's shoulder.

“You're such a sap.” Addison replied smiling.

“That's why you love me.”

“I love you because you're adorkable.” Callie grinned.

“You know I was thinking that we should put a rocking chair in here.”

Callie looked at her sideways. “Why?”

“So you can rock her while you sing to her. I just know she'll love your voice.”

“Oh is that right?”

“Yup, I know I do.” Addison smiled. “Come on, let's finishing painting and get the crib up.” Callie watched Addison with her hands on the small of her back for support a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth. They were doing this. They were a family.

3 Months later...
Callie was sound asleep in the hospital bed with Addison sitting in a chair next to her holding her hand. The surgery had went well despite several complications with Callie and the baby. Addison was just very glad she didn't have to be the one to do it. There was just no way she could have remained calm.

She sighed and looked down at the beautiful Latina and bushed the hair from her forehead before kissing her gently. Callie seemed to wake up as if on cue and a nurse strolled in with the baby in her arms. “Look there, mommy's awake... see?” She cooed and bounced the baby. Addison smiled and stood to take the baby from the nurse, she nodded and the nurse left. She hummed a little bit and rocked the baby as she walked toward Callie's out stretched arms.

“What are you going to name her?” Addison asked gently cradling the baby into Callie's arms.

“Kristina Emily Torres.” Callie smiled rocking the small baby in her arms.

Addison sat down and sighed. “Cal, you don't have to...”

“I know I don't have to. I want to.” Callie gave her one of the biggest smiles. “I love you and having OUR daughter named after your middle name and my grandmother means a lot to me too.”

“Kristina Emily Torres it is then.” Addison smiled and sat on the edge of the bed. “But I was thinking maybe Torres-Montgomery sounded good...” Addison left the hint hanging in the air.

Callie looked at her carefully. “You want to...”

“Calliope Torres,” Addison got down on one knee in front of her. “Will you marry me?”

Callie had tears in her eyes but she didn't have to think about it for even a second. She held her hand out pulling Addison onto the bed with her and the baby. “Yes- Yes- Yes.” Addison kissed Callie deeply and then the two of them smiled down at the little bundle of joy in Callie's arms fast asleep.
