SO, i wanted to take this wireless card and give it a SMA plug (the type of plug that all removable wireless antennas have for wireless devices)

so i took the linksys card, and a wireless router with a removable antenna (it still works for wireless, but i dont need it anyhow)

so heres some pics:

Top of the card internals: (circled is where i put the wire and the plug itself)

Finished and in the laptop:

bottem of the card, you can kinda see where i drilled out the holes for the plug to mount onto:

The wireless router, circled where i took off the plug and the antenna wire:

well, hopefully by adding the SMA jack (the terminal the antenna screws onto) i will be able to attack my home made antenna (when i make it) in order to get better reception

and if it doesnt work, then im stuck buying one i spose
