Even tho the Kaze slim fans are rated at relativly low DB ranges, the sound they put off is VERY whiney, so i had to mod a full-sized slot fan controll (PCI) onto a bracket, so heres what i came up with Low-profile PCI cover modified (1st attempt, this one the holes where too far down and the apperatus hit some capacitors on the MB): ![]() Finished product installed in my last PCI slot: ![]() its plugged into a 3pin header on the motherboard (marked PCI_something or other), so the motherboard still marks the speed of the fan, i can just adjust it down, on low its not much louder than the 80mm thats installed, on high its kinda whiney, but hey, i got a speed control now ^^ |
