I run a Yahoo Group (for Morgan three wheelers - what else?) and we have more than 100 members. Of which, 10 are pretty regular, with another 10 who appear from time to time. We run ok with that, and I think regarding 25% of the membership as reasonably active is probably fairly typical. I did once start a forum for the local scout group but it died the death since we really do not have enough active members. For my tupporth, I think you should stick with it, since there are not that many forums (fora?) aimed at the historic vehicle movement. Classic and Sportscars forum for example is hardly a hive of activity, and so far, we've had more real content here, with probably far fewer members. Just to bung something technical in, did you realise a magneto for a twin generates sparks of alternate polarity? If you didn't you're not alone since a manufacturer of advertised magneto capable rev counters also did not realise... |
