Hi,
I'm currently rebuilding a 1964 Gilbern 1800GT, it's one of only 273 made and looks a bit like an early Aston.

 I am the proud owner of a 1971 jennings roadranger camper van, as you may have guessed she is caled " tweety". She is painted bright yellow has tweety curtains and mudflaps also tweety seat covers. Unfortunatly she is much need of restoration. Something I have been trying to start for the last year! ;)

Hi everybody! This has the potential to be a great chat room! Lets get the show on the road! I dont actually own any old vehicles but i have a lot of friends who do. one of the has just sold his near mint condition austin cambridge! i wanted to buy it but before i could, it had sold. i keep hoping though, maybe one day. i just love old cars!

Newellsmomods, i have some old steam engines that i had when i was a kid, cant remember who makes them. im sure 1 was a momod and 1 was a bomman. they might be for sale at the right price. i thought if i joined the forum on oyur site, we can could exchange pics, talk about them and maybe we can even do business. i like what you do with your steam toys. mine are just stuck in the loft. it would be better than making this old vehicle forum off topic wouldnt it. let me know please.

Hi Newellsmamods, I have just found the boxes for the engine in my dad's attic, after i mensioned to him about all of the things you do, one is a wooden box (the mamod one) and says it is for an se3 and there is a bowman e101 (sorry for poor spelling before). i dont know if this will help you, it doesnt make a lot of sense to me, but it will to you.

Best wishes

Hi, could you tell me what they are worth so i can search the internet please before i give you a call, and are these engines rare or common?

i will type it in on the usual search engines to see if any results crop up.

im not entirely sure he wants to sell them. im sure if you make an offer he cant refuse he would consider it.

Hi all, i have been interested in classic vehicles, especially motorbikes all my life mainly because i have been brought up with them. I am currently rebuilding an ossa MAR 250, I'm not sure if you are aware of this bike, but it's a nice little trials bike anyway. I also own a triumph tiger cub that is the pride of my collection. It is only a small collection but i take great pride in the hobby.

Also I have read the posts of others on this forum and I see that some of the members are interested in model steam engines, especially the Mamod make. I also am very fond of these models and anything established with steam. The bowman engine Matthew mentions gives me great interest because from what i can recall it is quite a rare engine these days as they were made a few years before the second world war.

I look forward to your comments on the matter.

Bill.

Hi Matthew, thanks for the quick reply. Your Mamod SE3 you mention is one of my favourites because it is the most powerful model Mamod made. It should have a single cylinder and mounted on a flat red base. I also believe that there aren't many of these engines left. Your Bowman on the otherhand is very special indeed. The E101 is also the largest model Bowman produced, but only a single cylinder. I am not lucky enough to own one of these, but you are indeed one of a very select few to own one. Well done. Do you happen to have anymore by any chance?

Bill.

the twin se3 is very common the old se3 single are hard to find as for the bowman i think its a luton made one all be it the largest one, i was leaving any coments untill i could see them as sometimes these engines have been mucked about with in the past and the value plumits.

hi, beleive me, none have been used much. dad took great care of them and would never let me go near them when i was a child.they are in very good condition, and have no resoldering work or anything like that done on them. yes, it is a single cylinder engine.
