Just a message for those who come to grief and take "revenge" after their app got rejected.

You see we really accept most of the apps we see. We can't accept everyone. So if you really don't have a reason to apply, do not.
OP'ing is about keeping the server fun to play, not to just have some cool privileges over others, and that counts even entertaining people yourself. Take a look at the OP list. Look at the timezones. We probably have enough from the zone you are in. If you still do want to get in so much, here's some tips on your app.

  • Make it readable. Separate your stuff into paragraphs and for god's sake, use the bold function. The good style makes it much more pleasant and easy to read, so we know that this guy put some effort in it.
  • Include your country and timezone in GMT format. For the time you can be on is one of the importiant parts of you becoming an OP.
  • Try to show some signs of maturity, tell us whether you can not be on most of the time. This isn't a routine, it's just useful for us to know what time you can possibly be on, it doesn't mean you necessarily have to be on and guarding at that time.
  • Do not try to come up with those "you suck" and "goodbye" messages, and especially try not to grief. Remember that you can always try to apply later!
  • And please, follow the time rule. Post an app if you've only been here for 1 or more weeks.
  • If you see that we've got a load of guys from your timezone already, do try to show us something that proves that you're better than them.

So please, make it like this. Your chances highly depend on it.

And remember if you failed, you can always try again later!

So if your app got rejected, please

Yes! Only bad people grief if they fail.
And the smarter ones will not mind.

because greifers are annoying
if you greif, you get banned and have to apply to be un banned before you can apply for op again

(if you have been banned it will probably lower your chances to get op)

Anyway, if you did get rejected, it shouldn't really get in the way of you trying to keep the server fun and grief free. You don't neccessarily need the op abilities to help someone put back together their creation if someone griefed. Sure the title makes it a bit easier, but the best of the operators are the ones that put some effort into the server without having privliges. Those people are the real peace keepers, in my book anyway.

Everything isn't mostly about griefing, it's about letting everyone having their shares, and getting along with other players as well.
It's better to burn out than it is to fade away.

The only ones who fail are those who do not try.

Agreed contenentive, but if players come back on the server to grief, after they got declined. Then that is a sure sign that you most definatley should not have picken them, so if someone ever comes back on to grief after they got declined, then you have made the right choice :)
Highlight to read.
