Yes, I know this is late. I just want to discuss it.

In case you missed it, here's Notch's Blog.

How can people be so sad? Attacking an innocent Indie game because it isn't releasing frequent updates because the owner is getting a BUSINESS together?
It just makes me sick that someone could possibly be so foolish. [Overexaggeration] This is worse than rape, torture and murder of a 5 year old child. [/Overexaggeration]

I hope Notch catches this guy and files a police report. Just for a little extra irony he shouldn't finish the update on time either.

Damn those are some addictive fans to actually plan and execute a DDoS attack on Minecraft just because "theres not enought updates".

They're risking jail!

Least it will do is delay the update. Maybe Notch should put his +4285490696892904 internetz to good use and send an army of Minecraft addicts to resolve the issue.

Timido while DDoS are technically illegal, there haven't been any prosecutions ever because of DoS attacks on civilian sites.

"I’ve also signed up for a DDoS protection service, and took the chance to upgrade the server hardware to a much more powerful beast. I haven’t migrated things over to that server yet, but that’s coming soon."

What idiots, they seriously want to hack a game because it doesn't have frequent updates?

I guess you can make up a reason to DDos anything these days. I don't get why they'd think Notch would be bothered by it... Should have waited until the Boo release and knocked it out then. =s
