Just so you know I'm ripping off Bobcat's record keeping for this because I like the idea.

Hosts are Mike Teney and Don West

Recap of last night as the heels celebrate Jarrett's defeate of Diamond Dallas Page. Monty Brown lets Jarrett know that he owes Brown one. Good segment as it builds my theory up that Brown is doing all of this so he can get another shot at Jarrett and the title.

Jerrelle Clark vs. "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels (1-0)

Daniels smacks Clark before the bell and then hides behind the ref. Daniels takes control with a cheapshot and then abuses Clark with punches and elbows. Clark counters a backbody drop and hits a rana. Clark punishes Daniels with some punches but gets caught in an STO. Daniels looks pissed and stomps Clark. He yells at Clark as he nails him with more punches on the ground. Daniels hits a t-bone suplex and then plays to the crowd a bit. Daniels uses a bodyslam then hits a springboard moonsault off the ropes. Daniels covers but decides he hasn't punished Clark enough yet. Clark counters another backbody drop and manages to get Daniels down with a punch. Clark hits a clothesline and then a dropkick. Clark manages to get a DDT but makes the mistake of climbing to the top. Daniels regains control and hits the Angel Wings for the win at 2:35. Good energy but the match was just too short and Daniels seems to get lost with little time to work with. *

WINNER: Christopher Daniels (2-0)

Daniels gets on the mic and declares that he's "Mr. TNA" after naming off the accomplishments of the people he beat last night. Elix Skipper comes out and basically challenges Daniels for the X Division Title. Not sure I like the sound of this feud. It was going to happen but Skipper just isn't good enough as a singles.

Commercial Break

Mikey Batts (0-1) vs. Kid Kash w/ Lance Hoyt

They circle each other until Kash gets a takedown. They exchange wristlocks and punches for a bit. Kash gets early control with a shoulder block but runs into a spinning heel kick. They lockup and exchange pinfall attempts. Kash hits a dropkick to the face but soon finds himself on the outside after a clothesline from Batts. Batts goes for a suicide dive but gets caught by Hoyt and rammed into the ringpost before getting pressed slammed back into the ring. Kash hits a couple of flying clotheslines and gets some near falls from them. Batts fights back with a flying forearm and a belly to belly suplex. Batts almost steals the pinfall with a rollup. Batts hits a DDT but stupidly goes after Hoyt. Hoyt nails Batts with a punch and Kash nails an awesome looking Van Terminator. Moneymaker gets the win at 4:54. A fun little squash match but I think Kash gave Batts way too much offense. *1/2

WINNER: Kid Kash (1-0)

Commercial Break

Konnan thinks B.G. James is up to something because he was talking to the Outlaw recently. They argue a bit.

The Naturals and Chris Candido vs. America's Most Wanted and Dustin Rhodes

Big brawl to start and we're left with Rhodes and Candido to start the match in the ring. Back and forth until Rhodes dives out of the ring in an odd looking moment. Candido and Douglas give Rhodes a wishbone on the outside. Back into the ring as Candido hits a suplex and gets attempts a pinfall on Rhodes. They exchange punches until Candido gains control with a face rake. Candido misses a dropkick and gets rolled up by Rhodes for a two count. Rhodes hits an atomic drop followed up by a clothesline. Harris and Douglas get tagged in. Harris destroys the heels before tagging Storm in. They pick up Douglas and throw him into Stevens and then hand off Candido for a Rhodes powerbomb. Harris gives Douglas a bulldog followed up with a Storm super kick for Stevens. Death Sentence for Douglas and that's all she wrote at 3:23. Now did the Naturals really need to lose in this situation. I think AMW is at that level of heat where they could job almost every week and still be mega over. I'm really digging Candido's stable right now though. They just need to push them. I'd also like to say that they really need a United States title or something so guys like Rhodes have something to shoot for. Nothing match by the way. 1/2*

WINNERS: America's Most Wanted (1-0) and Dustin Rhodes (1-0)

Commercial Break

Jeff Jarrett and the Outlaw come out for an interview with Mike Teney. Jarrett says that Monty Brown decided to go with a winner and was tired of Rhodes giving title shots to the likes of Kevin Nash and DDP. He introduces his new friend Monty Brown. Brown basically announces that this is a new stable. I have to say that so far I'm completely fine with Brown's heel turn because my theory has been strongly supported throughout this show. I hope that once Jarrett loses the title that he heavily considers a chracter change because he needs one badly.

Commercial Break

Dusty Rhodes announces that there will be two cage matches at the Lock Down PPV. I like the name and TNA has been gold with their PPV names so far. He declares that Traci and Trinity both won that competition. Yeah don't care. Though I think his office being the tailgate of a truck is a nice touch. The tag team division also gets some much needed help with the Harris Bros and the Fratboys. They both suck horribly but that's how bad the tag division needs teams.

David Young (1-0) vs. "1000% Guapo" Shocker

Shocker starts off quick with a takedown. Young gets a wristlock but Shocker flips out and gets an armdrag takedown. Young gets an armdrag but gets takendown by Shocker again. Young gets a takedown and they stop and circle each other. Back and forth until Young gets a shoulder block. Shocker trips Young and hits a dropkick. Shocker hits a springboard dropkick and Young bails out of the ring. Big mistake when you're outside the ring and there's a lucha star on the inside. Young attempts a powerbomb but Shocker counters with a rana. Shocker hits a big boot and then rolls up Young for a nearfall. Young hits a knee but then gets rolled up and pinned by the Shockwave at 2:01 because he isn't 1000% GUAPO!!! Now that's how you do a squash match. I wasn't that impressed on the first viewing but it's really an awesome two minute match on the second viewing. Shocker was mega over too so it looks like they've found their latin star. *3/4

WINNER: Shocker (1-0)

Commercial Break

Buck Quartermain (0-1) and Lex Lovett (0-1) vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Sean Waltman w/ Kevin Nash as a guest announcer

Sean and Lovett start the match. Sean gets a takedown and walks on Lovett to be a jerk. Sean gets an armdrag and tags DDP in. Lovett manages to escape and tags Buck in. DDP gets a headlock and then hits a shoulder block. Lock up and DDP does his multiple shoulder strike move. Sean in and he gets overpowered by Buck. Sean catches Buck with an armdrag and then tags DDP in. Buck bails to the outside as commercials come.

Commercial Break

We're back as DDP hits Buck with a clothesline. DDP uses a bodyslam and then misses an elbow. Lovett and Sean get tagged in. Sean abuses Lovett with some chops and then Lovett returns the favor. Sean whips Lovett into the corner and hits a roundhouse kick. Sean does some kicks and hits another roundhouse. Sean misses a Bronco Buster and Buck gets tagged in. They hit Sean with double elbows and Buck gets a nearfall. Buck hits a stiff backbody drop. Yes that's the one from the spoilers but it doesn't look as bad as they made it sound. Buck gets another nearfall and then works over the neck. Sean tries to tag DDP in but the ref gets distracted by Lovett. Buck and Lovett double team Sean and Lovett covers for a 2 count. Lovett places Waltman on the bottom rope and jumps over the ropes and hits a legdrop. Nash actually makes a good point about how stupid that move is because you can't go for a pinfall right away. Buck comes in but Sean manages to escape. Hot tag time as DDP destroys the heels. Both get Bronco Busters from Sean. Diamond Cutter finishes Buck off at 8:47. Did that really need almost nine minutes? And if they were going to job the Naturals why not just put them in this match? It would've been a lot better since Buck and Lovett caused most of the problems during this match. They should've taken about three minutes from this and added it to Shocker's match. Decent formula match though. *1/2

WINNERS: Diamond Dallas Page (1-0) and Sean Waltman (1-0)

Kevin Nash calls out Dusty Rhodes. He wasn't one of the cage matches to be Kevin Nash, DDP and Sean Waltman vs. Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown and the Outlaw. Rhodes says he'll have an answer for them next week.

End of Show.

Overall:
Decent enough show this week. Matches had a lot of energy the Shocker/Young match was very good for only being two minutes. I'm very interested in seeing where they go with Monty Brown and I'm hoping I'm right about his motivations for the heel turn.

Match Recap:

Christopher Daniels d. Jerrelle Clark (2:35) with the Angel Wings. *
Kid Kash d. Mikey Batts (4:54) with the Moneymaker. *1/2
America's Most Wanted and Dustin Rhodes d. The Naturals and Chris Candido (3:23) with the Death Sentence. 1/2*
Shocker d. David Young (2:01) with the Shockwave. *3/4
Diamond Dallas Page and Sean Waltman d. Buck Quatermain and Lex Lovett (8:47) with the Diamond Cutter. *1/2

Great review man! Much appreciated.

I'm disappointed that the X-pac match didn't look as bad on TV. I was really curious after all I had heard. Sounds like a couple of blown spots, and that's it.

I disagree. I think Elix is quite capable of being carried by Daniels. Plus, you know he'll bring the crazy spots that the crowd (and myself) are sure to love.

That has always been a strong point for Dusty.

Yeah, the only thing that looked really bad was when Lovett almost landed on X-Pac after an early armdrag. But whoever reported that really exaggerated what happened.

Stupid fans saying the match was different... I guess I'll still catch Xplosion to see the majority of what happend on iMPACT, depending on if I can remember or not. If I don't catch it, the review was good enough to give me an idea of how it was.

(Thumbs Up)

I think they could maybe go *** if Skipper's having a really good night. But I think Chris Sabin or even Ron Killings would've been better choices for kicking off Daniel's title reign. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

In all honesty, Killings and Daniels should be feuding for the World Title.

I can't argue with that. Though being the X Division Champ still means something in TNA. It isn't the death that holding a secondary title in the WWF has become.
