Welcome back to another action packed edition to the Impact! Replay. I'm considering doing heavyweight, tag team and X rankings after Lock Down so let me know if you like the idea or not. Hosts are Mike Teney and Don West Video package for DDP, Kevin Nash and Sean Waltman vs. Jeff Jarrett, Monty Brown and the Outlaw. AJ Styles comes out to guest announce. They reveal that Styles vs. Abyss will be a cage match and that the winner will become the No.1 contender for the NWA World Title. Abyss (1-1) vs. Cassidy Riley (0-3) Riley ducks some lock up attempts from Abyss and gets a waistlock. Riley ducks an elbow but gets hit with a headbutt. Riley ducks a clothesline and hits some chops. Riley comes off the ropes and hits a flying forearm. Riley comes off the ropes and gets rocked by a clothesline from Abyss. Abyss hits an avalanche in the corner and then hits the torture rack backbreaker. Blackhole Slam finishes at 1:28. Standard Abyss squash. 1/2* WINNER: Abyss Abyss spots Styles and goes back to the ring. He grabs a bag of thumb tacs and is going to slam Riley onto them. Jeff Hardy attacks and gives Abyss a Twist of Fate. Raven comes in and attacks Hardy. Styles finally hits the ring and the faces clean house. Excellent segment. I really like the fact that Hardy still came after Abyss even though their feud just ended. I hate when guys just forget that they hated someone because they moved on to something else. Commercial Break Video package detailing the history between Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper. Excellent video as it covers their TNA partnership nicely. I wish the WWF could actually remember something longer than five minutes for this kind of feud. Commercial Break Mike Teney has Monty Brown for a sit down interview. They basically rehash his heel turn and hype for the PPV. Not a bad segment as it was pretty short. I still think Brown is just using Jarrett for a title shot. Commercial Break Main Event: Chris Sabin (1-1) vs. Michael Shane vs. Elix Skipper (0-1) vs. Petey Williams (1-0) w/ Scott D'Amore That's right they've left about forty minutes of Impact for this match. Christopher Daniels is a guest announcer for this match. Sabin and Skipper start the match. Skipper gets a wristlock but Sabin escapes with a headlock. Back and forth until Sabin gets an armdrag. Skipper escapes a backbody drop and hits an armdrag. Skipper's rollup gets two. Skipper gets a double leg takedown but gets rolled up for two. Staredown and they tag Shane and Williams in. Lockup and Shane gets a headlock. Williams steps on the knee and gets a wristlock. Shane powers out and gets a headlock. Back and forth Williams uses an armdrag. They exchange chops until Shane grabs the advantage. Williams counters an irish whip and hits two kicks followed by a clothesline. Shane hits a snapmare followed by a head stomp. Shane heads to the top but Williams pulls him into a tree of woe. Williams stands on Shane's crotch and then tags Skipper in. Skipper clotheslines Shane to the outside and falls out with him. Williams hits Skipper with a diving head scissors. Sabin levels everyone with an asai moonsault. Commercial Break We're back and Williams is refusing to get into the ring. Sabin charges but gets pulled neck first into the ropes. Sabin ducks a clothesline and abuses Williams with punches. Sabin comes off the ropes and gets an elbow from Williams. Replay of all the dives before the commercial break. Williams hits Sabin with a clothesline. Williams goes for the Canadian Destroyer but gets a super kick from Shane. Sabin rolls him up for three at 7:36 Petey Williams is eliminated Shane attacks Sabin. Sabin fights back and suplexes Shane crotch first onto the ropes. Skipper tags himself in and walks the ropes to hit a rana. Skipper covers for two. Skipper hits a stiff kick and covers for two. Skipper talks trash to Daniels and gets attacked by Shane. Skipper gets tossed to the outside and thrown into the guard rail. Back into the ring and Skipper fights back. Skipper comes off the ropes and gets hit with a belly to belly suplex. Shane covers for two. Shane hits some double axe handles and then chokes Skipper on the ropes. Skipper fights back but gets a knee from Shane. Shane hits a suplex followed by an elbow drop from the middle rope. Shane covers for two. Shane applies a headlock. Skipper fights out and applies a sleeper hold. Back and forth until they hit each other with cross body blocks. Disco Inferno defeated Alex Wright for the WCW Television Title after that same spot on Nitro. They fight over making a tag to Sabin. They escape each other's finishers until Skipper hits the Sudden Death for the pin at 11:28. Michael Shane is eliminated Sabin hits Skipper with a missile dropkick. Commercial Break We're back as Sabin elbows Skipper in the corner. Sabin sends Skipper into the corner and hits a flying forearm. Sabin uses a suplex and covers for two. Sabin uses his legs to choke Skipper until Skipper counters into a headlock. Sabin hits an atomic drop and covers for two. Sabin abuses Skipper with some punches and then powerslams him after sending him into the corner. Sabin hits a running senton splash and covers for two. Sabin applies a headlock and it cuts away to the announce table. Skipper hits a roundhouse kick and hits a few forearms. Sabin comes off the ropes and hits a clothesline. Sabin covers for two. Sabin uses a snapmare followed by a headlock. Skipper escapes but charges into an elbow. Sabin gets tossed on a tornado DDT and then hits Skipper with a kick. Sabin hits a springboard DDT and covers for a nearfall. Skipper grabs a leg and hits a powerbomb then covers for two. They fight over a move until Sabin hits an enziguri. Sabin hits a running powerbomb for a two count. Sabin lifts Skipper onto the top rope and hits an uppercut. They fight on top until Skipper throws Sabin off. Skipper hits a spinning heel kick off the middle rope. Skipper finally covers for a two count. Skipper escapes the Cradle Shock and hits Sudden Death for the win and title shot at 21:21. Good match. I like how Sabin started working the match as a heel once it was one on one to get the crowd behind a Skipper win. Impact really needed a good match. ***1/4 WINNER: Elix Skipper Christopher Daniels and Elix Skipper talk trash. Overall: Excellent show this week as the main event was a great television match. They need to do more shows where the main event runs longer so the fans can actually see some good matches on free tv. The angles moved along pretty well this week as well. Match Recap: Abyss d. Cassidy Riley (1:28) with the Blackhole Slam 1/2* Elix Skipper d. Chris Sabin (21:21) with Sudden Death to get an X Division Title shot at the Lock Down PPV ***1/4 |

I died in between the first and second match. I would have like the main event, but I was already dead. Overall, I thought it was a very bad show. |

I don't blame you. I had DVRed it so that middle portion didn't seem as bad to me. |

Ahhh. See that would've been a good idea, but I still think it would've seemed incomplete. |

I've been spoiled by DVR. I can't deal with commercials anymore. I watch nothing live except for sports so I can watch it without commercials later. |

I forgot to mention there's no Lucha Replay this week. It was two hours of nothing but pure AAA wrestlecrap this week. |

I don't have DVR, but I may have to start taping everything and watching it as I see fit. I'm really burnt out on mainstream wrestling right now. |
