So this is round two with OVW. As you remember the last show had me wishing cancer on myself with the brand of awful wrestling.

Hosts are Jim Cornette and some other guy.

Romeo Roselli vs. Ken Doane

Lockup and Doane gets a hammerlock. Romeo escapes with the ropes and applies his own hammerlock. Doane flips out and applies another hammerlock. Feel the variety. Romeo escapes with a forearm and hits a shoulderblock. Back and forth until Doane hits an armdrag. Romeo jumps to his feet but gets a boot from Doane. Doane floats over and hits a clothesline. Doane hits an elbow followed by a backbody drop. Doane covers for two. Romeo counters a whip but then charges into an elbow. Romeo ducks a crossbody block and then hits shoulder thrusts in the corner. Romeo stretches Doane on the ringpost. Romeo covers for two. Romeo punches Doane and then hits a knee. Romeo covers for two. Doane tries to fight back but gets a forearm. Romeo applies an abdominal stretch and does the old heel grabbing the ropes. In this case it’s completely stupid because the ref is looking right at him grabbing the ropes. They exchange blows until Doane blocks a kick and hits an atomic drop. Doane hits another atomic drop followed by a clothesline. Doane hits another clothesline followed by an elbow. Doane sends Romeo into the ropes and hits a jumping elbow. Doane hits a spin kick and covers for two. Romeo begs off and then tosses Doane to the outside. Doane hits a shoulderblock and then goes for a sunset flip. Romeo sits down and grabs his partner’s hands for the pin. This was like watching two guys fresh out of wrestling school fight. Just a boring match. ¾*

WINNER: Romeo Roselli

Jim Cornette shows a recap of the Tolands antics from last week. They could’ve edited that down quite a bit. Chris Cage then comes out for an interview. Cage got the belt back by attacking Tank Toland in the locker room. His interview skills don’t thrill me at all. This segment has run for five minutes and basically just recapped their feud up until this point. Jim Cornette fines him $500 for the locker room attack and basically makes it a slap on the wrist. The Tolands come out and Tank is doing the wheelchair sell job. The Tolands make it semi-interesting but this ran forever. Chris Cage manages to tear down any good the Tolands built with his terrible interview skills. I skipped the last three minutes because twelve minutes is just too long.

Da Beast and Mike Mondo vs. Matt Cappotelli and Johnny Jeter

This match should be interesting as I’ve heard good things about Mike Mondo. Mondo and Matt start the match. Lockup and Mondo gets a hammerlock. Yeah I’m as stunned as you are right now. Matt flips out and gets a headlock takedown. Back and forth until Matt hits a neckbreaker and covers for two. Jeter tags in and uses a headlock takedown. Jeter ducks a clothesline and uses a bodyslam. Jeter hits a dropkick and tags Matt in. They hit Mondo with double elbows and a combo standing senton, legdrop move. Matt covers for two. Mondo gets Matt in the corner and tags Da Beast in. Beast sends Matt into the ropes and gets a kick to the face. Matt ducks a clothesline but then gets tripped up by Mondo. Matt hits Mondo with a baseball slide and then gives Beast a jawbreaker on the ropes. Mondo pulls Matt onto the apron face first into a briefcase of some kind. Mondo rolls Matt into the ring and Beast covers for two. Beast abuses Matt with forearms and stomps and covers for two. Beast throws Matt into the corner and tags Mondo in. Mondo hits Matt with several forearms followed by a snapmare. Mondo hits a legdrop and covers for two. Beast tags in and abuses Matt with punches. Beast sends Matt into the corner and hits a clothesline. Beast covers but Jeter makes the save. Mondo tags in and hits a bodyslam. Mondo covers for two. Mondo applies a headlock but Matt fights out. They head to the corner and Matt rams Mondo into the turnbuckle. Back and forth until Matt hits a stun gun on Mondo. Hot tag time as Jeter and Beast come in. Jeter knocks Mondo off the apron and abuses Beast with punches. Jeter hits a flying forearm followed by a dropkick and then throws Mondo into Beast. Jeter hits a spin kick and covers but Mondo makes the save. Matt attacks Mondo and knocks him to the outside. Beast attacks Matt but gets double super kicked for the pin. Not a bad match but this only got five minutes while a terrible interview segment got twelve. *1/2

WINNERS: Matt Cappotelli and Johnny Jeter

Passion vs. Alexis Laree

Just shoot me now. Lockup and I bet you can guess what move Passion gets. If you guessed a hammerlock then good for you. Laree flips out and applies her own hammerlock. Passion escapes and gets a waistlock takedown and then rolls into a headlock. Laree escapes with a wristlock. Passion stomps on Laree’s foot and then hits her in the head. Passion sends Laree into the corner but gets several kicks from Laree. Laree covers for two. Laree applies a headlock. Passion sends Laree into the ropes but gets caught with a shoulderblock. Laree hits a dropkick and then an elbow. Laree hits a monkey flip and then covers for two. Laree hits several forearms. Passion sends Laree into the corner but then charges into an elbow. Laree goes for a head scissor but Passion powerbombs her. Passion hits a bodyslam and abuses Laree with punches. Yeah that’s a great follow up to a big move. Passion chokes Laree on the middle rope. Passion applies a chicken wing and no one cares. Laree fights back but gets tossed to the outside. Jillian Hall attacks her on the outside for the DQ. I hate women’s wrestling. ¼*

WINNER: Alexis Laree

Some brawling happens but who cares.

Matt Morgan vs. Nick Nemeth and Robbie Chance

Ah, the old monster destroys the jobbers in a handicap match. Morgan grabs a mic to complain about Tank Toland being the No.1 contender before starting the match. Nemeth starts the match with Morgan. Lockup and Morgan tosses Nemeth. Nemeth ducks a lockup and gets a waistlock. Morgan powers out and destroys Nemeth with a chop in the corner. Morgan tosses Nemeth across the ring followed by a headbutt. Chance gets the blind tag and they take down Morgan with a double shoulder tackle. They knock Morgan out of the ring with a double dropkick. Chance attacks Morgan as he tries to get back into the ring but gets tossed. Morgan whips Chance into the corner hard and grabs Chance by the hair. Morgan hits a clothesline followed by a punch. Morgan places Chance on the top rope and jumps on him. Morgan chokes Chance because that’s what bad guys do. Morgan does the generic big man choking with his foot thing. Morgan hits a headbutt but then misses a charge. Chance makes the tag to Nemeth. Nemeth can’t do any damage and then gets a kick from Morgan. Morgan hits a vertical suplex into a rock bottom and then gives Chance a chokeslam. He pins both because really why pin one when you can pin both. Ran too long for what it was supposed to be. ½*

WINNER: Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan pulls out a sharpie and autographs Robbie Chance.

OVW Southern Tag Team Title Match:
Mac Johnson and Seth Skyfire © vs. MNM

Ugh…. Not these two again. Mac and Nitro start the match. Lockup and Nitro gets a hammerlock. I’m stunned that Nitro would go for such an original move. They exchange hammerlocks until Nitro punches Mac. Back and forth until Nitro hits a hiptoss. Mac kicks Nitro and follows it up with an armdrag and hammerlock. Skyfire tags in and applies a hammerlock. Nitro hits Skyfire and tags Matthews in. Back and forth until Skyfire hits a monkey flip. Skyfire applies a hammerlock and tags Mac in. Back and forth until Mac hits a cross body block for two. Skyfire tags in and hits a double axehandle off the top rope. Skyfire applies a hammerlock but Matthews backs him into the corner. Matthews hits a shoulder thrust but can’t pull Skyfire out of the corner. Skyfire hits a hiptoss followed by an armdrag. Matthews bails to the outside. Matthews ducks a baseball slide but then gets hit with a head scissor. Skyfire ducks a clothesline from Nitro and Mac takes out MNM with a dive. Skyfire rolls Matthews back into the ring and tags Mac in. Mac hits a dropkick and covers for two. Mac stomps Matthews in the corner and knocks Nitro off the apron. Mac sends Matthews into the corner but Nitro pulls him away and Mac crashes into the ringpost. A commercial comes up and as we come back Matthews gives Mac a neckbreaker. Matthews covers for two. Matthews abuses Mac with punches and tags Nitro in. They take turns kicking Mac. Nitro covers for two. Nitro chokes Mac on the middle rope. Nitro distracts the ref while whatever the female’s name is chokes him more. Nitro hits some dumb looking break dancing leg drop and covers for two. Matthews tags in and they hit a double vertical suplex on Mac. Matthews covers for two. Skyfire comes in but the ref stops him and Matthews taunts. Nitro tags in and they hit the Problem Solver. Nitro covers but Matthews has the ref occupied and looks like an idiot in the process. Nitro gets the ref’s attention and covers for two. Nitro heads to the top and misses a twisting moonsault. Matthews tags in and fails to knock Skyfire off the apron. Mac avoids Matthews and makes the hot tag to Skyfire. Skyfire abuses Matthews with punches and follows up with a spin kick. Skyfire hits two clotheslines followed by a tornado DDT. Nitro attacks Skyfire but gets a head scissors for his trouble. Skyfire hits Matthews with an enziguri. Nitro goes for a tackle but Skyfire ducks and Nitro knocks the ref out to the floor. Mac comes in and they hit the death penalty but the ref isn’t there to make the count. The MNM manager sprays Skyfire with something and Matthews rolls him up for the pin and the titles. *

WINNERS AND NEW CHAMPS: MNM

Overall:

Not as bad as the first show but not good by any means. I can’t believe these guys are expected to be the future of the WWF.
