If so, I'd like to know when and if a tape exists. They were both in the WWF at the same time, but I've never heard of the two having a match.

Sorry, I don't think it happened. If it did, it wasn't a taped match - or one that was listed from the sites I've looked at. I'll ask around for ya. ;)

For some reason I totally missed this thread.....?

I don't think that this match has ever happened one on one. Maybe in a tag match at some point though.......

No, I don't think it happened before. Both were faces and Dynamite was mostly in a tag team. I can't recall for sure but Dynamite in his book may have even said they never wrestled against each other before.

Davey did wrestle against Steamboat however in that tournamant PPV. Wrestling Classic was it called? My mind's drawing a blank right now.

Someone told me that Steamboat and DK teamed in Japan, but that was about it. Still uncertain if they wrestled each other in Japan, though.

Steamboat wrestled Davey Boy on November 7, 1985 at Wrestling Classic. Where Ricky defeated Davey Boy in the opening round of the tournament. The tournament took place in Chicago, Illinois at The Rosemont Horizon.

Here's the card for an extra tidbit:
