Correct me if I'm wrong, but was Saturn shot while attempting to break up a rape attempt? |

Bobby Heenan although he was released a year for WWF bought out WCW. |

Bobby Heenan is more of a WWF talent than WCW in my eyes. His WCW Days fucking sucked. |

Yeah, I suppose I can't really count him as a WCW worker. Honestly, I didn't watch much WCW towards the end. |

Lucky you. :P It wasn't as bad as 1999, but it was directionless. |

I originally thought he was stabbed, but from what I read online, he was shot three times 25 caliber handgun, and had a steel plate and three screws where his C-5, C-6 and C-7 vertabre are. |

The first version of the story I heard (and the one I believe to be true) was that Saturn was out with his wife/girlfriend and while driving, he noticed a man attacking a woman. He did indeed try to break it up and was shot in the neck for his troubles. Since then, I guess he's managed to wrestle here and there, but it looks as if his active career is pretty much over (he had to back out of Hardcore Homecoming). |

I really liked Mike Sanders near the end. I actually liked a ton of stuff they were doing near the end. Kwee-wee, Jason Jett, Air Paris, AJ. I was diggin that cruiserweight tag division that they started up. I hated and always will hate Scott Steiner, which killed those shows. Also hate and never miss DDP and Booker T, who I know avoid at all costs. I miss WCW Jarrett, which we kind of got in to on another post. |

Not sure if I understood the Kwee-wee character. It just seemed that everytime someone saw him, they'd stand in awe and be like "....Kwee-Wee." |

The Kwee Wee character was interesting because he seemed to switch between being a heel and a face on a weekly basis. I'd call him a tweener, but that would be giving the geniuses at WCW too much credit. Mike Sanders and the Natural Born Thrillers were quite awesome. I became a mark for them in short order. It was a novelty seeing them get WWE contracts and show up on tv, but watching them all fail in WWE was frustrating. Sean O'Haire and Mark Jindrak made such an effective team in WCW, and O'Haire did well when teamed with Chuck Palumbo as well. Stasiak found a cocky heel niche in WCW, and became a running joke of a jobber in WWE. Sanders was never brought in, Jindrak and O'Haire came out of OVW looking less experienced than before, and I haven't even seen or heard from Reno since. |

Yeah...."Above Average" Mike Sanders is another guy I miss. He was great on the mic, and had some funny "your momma" joke duels with Ernest Miller. Miller could be funny at times, but I don't think he understood the difference between a heel and a face. He'd come out and say something funny and book a match that the fans wanted...then he'd say "all you dumb hillbillies shut up". He'd consistently shoot himself in the foot with that junk. I liked Norman Smiley's character, but he wasn't used well. I thought that the "accidental hardcore champ" was actually a funny gimmick. He didn't want to compete in the hardcore style, but kept winning and retaining the belt, usually accidentally. I know alot of people hated his sidekick Ralphus, but they made me laugh. Ralphus was a "mystery partner", came out in a mascot costume...and got his head caught in the ropes. It was universally despised, but that cracked me up. MENG left before the buyout, but he was used well in his WCW days. "Goldberg. You must die... so I may live". |

I liked Shane Helms when he was "Sugar" Shane Helms. Now the WWE isn't doing much with him besides being a jobber. Evan Karagas never seemed to get a break. He was hired by WCW, not used, became part of 3-Count, got hired by the WWE, and was released after not being used for 9 months. Kronik - Bryan Clarke and Brian Adams Mark Jindrak & Sean O'Haire |

Kronik's brief stint in WWE back in 2001 has assured that I will never miss them :P |
