NWA: New England Wrestling
Saturday Night
November 18th 2006

Welcome to week two of Saturday Night as the "B" show!

Tajiri (with Jushin Liger) vs. Xavier
This was another good outing for Xavier, as he squared off against one half of the NEW Tag Team Champions. The match was really good and kept a fast pace, and featured Xavier taking several stiff kicks to the head. In the end, Tajiri's green mist was the key to success.
Winner @ 6:09: Tajiri (81/65/97)

A hype video for Edge played. The montage included shots of Edge spearing all the biggest names in wrestling, including The Rock, Mick Foley, Big Show, and even President Rowe. (79%)

Test vs. Shark Boy
Yes, this was a rematch of last week's squash match. The difference this week was that Shark Boy was prepared for Test's aggressive assault and used his speed to keep up with Test for several minutes. Shark Boy was on the verge of making a great upset, until Test floored him with a big boot. Test then hit the pump handle slam for the decisive victory.
Winner @ 5:20: Test (69/64/75)

In a pretaped segment, Ron Killings talks about his disgust for Krazy Kid Kash and Rene Dupree. Killings said that all his life people like Kash have tried to hold him down, but at Methodical Madness he will silence the hate once and for all. (81%)

Chris Hero vs. Sonny Siaki vs. Johnny Devine
The real heat in this match was between Siaki and Hero, heading into the big survival match at Methodical Madness. They wanted to brawl, but Johnny Devine kept sneaking in with roll-ups and school boy attempts to pick up an upset. Hero and Siaki then forgot about their issue to double team Devine for a bit. Using teamwork, they sling shot Devine into the ring post, knocking him out in the process. The match then went back to just Siaki and Hero trying to kill each other. Siaki eventually picked up the win with a combination of a school boy and grabbing the ropes for leverage to pin Hero.
Winner @ 7:45: Sonny Siaki (76/68/84)

A hype video for the JBL/Rock main event at Methodical Madness plays. The video contains footage of JBL beating Rey Mysterio for the NEW Championship, Rock making his return, and the brutal Rock/Bashams match from the first Blizzard. Rock/JBL at Methodical Madness could be the bloodiest brawl of the year! (84%)

The Dudley Boyz vs. Brian Kendrick and Jerrelle Clark
Last week Kendrick told Clark that if they lost this match, he would kick his ass. Kendrick and Clark put up a strong showing against the Dudleyz. Clark even hits the 630 splash on Bubba at one point and would have gotten the win if Devon hadn't broken up the cover attempt. The Dudleyz made a big comeback and Bubba instructed Devon to get a table. Devon set a table up at ringside, but in the ring Kendrick tried making a comeback. He went for the Sliced Bread #2 on Bubba, but Bubba countered and threw him over the ropes and right through the table at ringside! This left Clark as an easy target for the 3D, as the Dudleyz picked up the big win.
Winners @ 9:17: The Dudley Boyz (86/78/95)

After the match, Kendrick is too hurt to follow up on his promise to kick Clark's ass, but he challenges Clark to a match at Methodical Madness, which Clark accepts.

overall: 80

We got a 2.12 rating for 'NEW Saturday Night!

NWA: New England Wrestling
Blizzard
November 20th 2006

The Rock opens the show with an in-ring interview. His ankle is hurting, from the beating that he took from the Cabinet two weeks ago. He calls out JBL and the rest of the Cabinet, promising to kick their monkey asses. However, Chris Jericho comes out instead and gets in the Rock's face. Jericho whines that he is not main eventing the pay-per-view on Friday, and blames it on The Rock hogging the spotlight again. This deteriorates into a brawl, with Eric Bischoff eventually coming out and making a James Gibson and The Rock vs. JBL and Chris Jericho match for tonight's main event. (98%)

Ace Steel vs. Xavier
This was a tremendous match, full of crisp wrestling exchanges and some hard hitting moves. The crowd was not too into it at first, but were getting into it towards the end. Xavier looked to be on the verge of getting his first win in NEW, and he sort of did, but it was when Steel lost his temper and cracked him over the head with a steel chair at 7:05. Steel then left the arena to a chorus of boos, the crowd was angry at him for ruining the match.
Winner by DQ @ 7:05: Xavier ((81/67/95)

Backstage, Dapper Dave Choate is standing by with Brian Kendrick. Kendrick says that he promised to kick Jerrelle Clark's ass, and that it is going to happen at Methodical Madness. Kendrick says that he has learned that he cannot count on anyone but himself, so he is going to pursue a singles career in NEW. (83%)

Pushing the Limits (Carlito, Chris Hero, and Kevin Steen) vs. The Cabinet (Orlando Jordan, Doug Basham, and Danny Basham)
Fellow PTL members, Frankie Kazarian, Matt Sydal, and Adam Pearce were in the PTL corner for the match. The match itself was pretty decent, with Hero and Carlito hitting some innovative double team moves on the Cabinet. The Bashams are experts on isolating an opponent, so they were able to keep Kevin Steen in their corner for a long stretch. Steen finally made the tag, and Carlito cleaned house, on his way to win. It was at this point that all five men from Team Bischoff (Rob Van Dam, Edge, Hardcore Holly, Sonny Siaki, and Tommy Dreamer) attacked the PTL guys at ringside. Carlito was distracted, and easily pinned by Orlando Jordan. After the match, Team Bischoff decimated PTL, leaving all six members a bloody mess.
Winners @ 9:55: The Cabinet (76/71/81)

Backstage, Booker T is walking around, when he bumps into Krazy Kid Kash and Rene Dupree. Kash scoffs "Great, another one of YOU people, that's what we needed." Booker responds with "Tell me you didn't just say that! I want both you suckas in a match, right now!" So a handicap match is set for after the break. (86%)

Booker T vs. Krazy Kid Kash and Rene Dupree
The match itself wasn't too great, but the crowd was really behind Booker. Booker was in control for the first several minutes, but fell victim to the numbers game. Dupree and Kash made frequent tags, not allowing Booker a moment to catch his breath. Finally, Booker threw Kash over the ropes and was able to hit the scissors kick on Dupree. Kash was the legal man, so Booker couldn't pin Dupree, but tried anyway. This allowed Kash to grab some brass knuckles and clock Booker in the head without the ref noticing, giving Kash the win. This prompted a two on one beat-down, until D'Lo Brown and Ron Killings made the save.
Winners @ 8:01: Krazy Kid Kash and Rene Dupree (84/87/78)

Backstage, Mick Foley apologizes to Rhino for the misunderstanding last week. Rhino says it is okay, but warns Foley not to ever cross him. Foley says that won't be a problem, in fact, Foley asked real nicely and they have a match for the NEW Tag Team titles after the break! Apparently Tajiri owed Foley a favor or something. (84%)

NEW Tag Team Championship: Jushin Liger and Tajiri © vs. Mick Foley and Rhino
This was a really good match, with some fun brawling all around. Liger and Rhino had some fun exchanges, that resulted in Liger eating a GORE! Foley and Tajiri were acting like old chums and not taking the match seriously, until Tajiri hit a sudden spin kick to Foley's head! That ended the fun, and they had a violent brawl. Unfortunately, America's Most Wanted ran in and cost Foley and Rhino the match, as Liger managed to pin Foley to retain the titles.
Winners @ 7:59: Jushin Liger and Tajiri (84/80/88)

Another eerie hype video aired. It featured Steve Corino making numerous threats to JBL. "You will pay for your smear campaign" threatened Corino. The camera finally focused on Corino's face and he looks pissed! The camera then pulled back a bit, revealing Roderick Strong and Austin Aries standing by Corino's side. They also looked pissed. "JBL, we are coming for you. You better be watching your back at Methodical Mayhem!" promises Aries. The camera then fades to black. (90%)

The Rock and James Gibson vs. John Bradshaw Layfield and Chris Jericho
This turns out to be an awesome match, with a big assist from a super hot crowd. Rock and Jericho catch the fire from their previous feud and rip into each other, though Rock makes it clear that he wants JBL. Rock takes down Jericho with a spinebuster, and tags in Gibson, who aggressively uses some ground submission holds to weaken Y2J. JBL is tagged in and violently catches Gibson with a big boot. The referee then loses control and Rock and Jericho get involved and a huge brawl erupts. With no end in sight, the ref has no choice but to call for a disqualification! Typically, the Cabinet runs in, but Rock and Gibson fight them off. Rock tosses the Bashams over the ropes, while Gibson sling shots Orlando Jordan to the floor. Jericho and JBL then retreat because they are cowards, leaving the good guys standing tall to end the show.
No contest due to double DQ @ 12:03 (90/92/86)

And that's a wrap for the hard sell for Methodical Madness!

Methodical Madness
November 24th 2006

The show starts with a hype package set to "Land of Confusion" by Disturbed. The focus is on the Rock/JBL and Jericho/Gibson matches.

Pyro explodes and the show begins! President Rowe and Professor Plague welcome us to Methodical Madness!

Ace Steel and Test vs. Chris Sabin and Xavier
This match was not announced for the show, but made for a really good opener. Xavier and Sabin stole the show in a singles match a few weeks ago on Saturday Night, and they came to respect each other for it. They are giving it a try as a team. They do well for the majority of the match, though Test manages to dominate with his size advantage. Ace Steel almost loses his cool and tries to use a chair, but Test talks him out of it. The momentary lapse of focus allowed Sabin and Xavier to hit flying moves off the turnbuckles onto Test and Steel on the floor. The risky move was effective, yet costly, and Test managed to hit the big boot on Xavier for the victory.
Winners: Ace Steel and Test @ 8:30 (81/74/89)

Brian Kendrick vs. Jerrelle Clark
These two former partners put on a dazzling performance against each other, nearly stealing the show! Lots of awesome cruiserweight brawling in the early going, before turning into a well orchestrated spot-fest. The highlight of the match had to be when Clark went for a 630 splash off of the center ropes onto Kendrick, who had been sprawled out on the announce table. It was a true "holy shit" moment. The action spilled back into the ring, and Kendrick dominated with some cocky heel work, including using the cocky pin for pinfall attempts. Clark was able to rebound and hit a surprise school boy on Kendrick for the victory. After the match, both men recieved a standing ovation.
Winner: Jerrelle Clark @ 13:45 (85/71/100)

-Backstage, The Rock does a promo, putting himself over. The Rock also puts over the CSW guys, but warns them not to cost JBL the match tonight, because The Rock wants to become NEW Champion fairly.

-In another backstage area, Eric Bischoff tells Kid Kash and Rene Dupree that he is sick of the rascist bullshit and that he wants it to end. Kash argues that Bischoff is oppressing his freedom of speech. Bischoff tells the evil duo that he has added Booker T to their match as the referee. Kash and Dupree are not pleased.

D'Lo Brown and Ron Killings vs. Kid Kash and Rene Dupree; Referee: Booker T
I wouldn't go as far to say that Kid Kash is buried in this match, but this is the signal for the end of his rascist angle. Brown and Killings dominated the majority of the match, though Kash and Dupree got some good shots in. Dupree was showing off the French Tickler when Killings hit a springboard dropkick. Kash snuck in with a low blow, which Booker did not see, but knew what happened when he saw Killings on the ground with his legs together. Booker then hit the Bookend on Kash and the scissors kick on Dupree, before dragging Killings onto Kash and delivering a fast three count.
Winners: D'Lo Brown and Ron Killings @ 7:55 (82/83/81)

Rhino and Mick Foley vs. America's Most Wanted
Rhino and Foley came into this match not sure if they wanted to keep their partnership going, as they came up short against AMW a few weeks ago on Blizzard, but the match went very well. AMW used their typical heel trickery to gain an advantage, but Foley and Rhino weren't buying any of it. Rhino hit the GORE on both Harris and Storm, making them easy target for Foley and Mr. Socko. AMW almost picked up the win when Gail Kim made a surprise appearance and hit an off the turnbuckle hurricanrana on Foley. Harris covered Foley and got a 2.9999 count. Harris was furious and suffered another GORE from Rhino before being pinned by Foley.
Winners: Mick Foley and Rhino @ 9:00 (84/82/86)

Ten Man Elimination Tag Team match (If PTL loses, they are fired)
Pushing the Limits (Chris Hero, Frankie Kazarian, Matt Sydal, Kevin Steen, and Adam Pearce) with Carlito vs. Team Bischoff (Rob Van Dam, Edge, Sonny Siaki, Tommy Dreamer, and Hardcore Holly) with Eric Bischoff

Before the match begins, a referee handcuffs Eric Bischoff and Carlito together to make sure they cannot interfere. The match was more methodical and slow than one might think, but the match was solid and featured some upset pinning situation. The eliminations were:
Frankie Kazarian pinned Hardcore Holly at 4:22.
Edge pinned Adam Pearce at 5:59.
Sonny Siaki pinned Kevin Steen at 7:45.
Matt Sydal pinned Tommy Dreamer at 10:19.
Rob Van Dam pinned Frankie Kazarian at 13:44.
Chris Hero pinned Rob Van Dam at 14:05 (RVD was still recovering from a five star frog splash).
Matt Sydal pinned Sonny Siaki at 16:50.
Edge pinned Chris Hero at 22:51.
Edge pinned Matt Sydal at 29:44.

The final sequence between Matt Sydal and Edge was really special. The crowd was really behind Sydal at that point, as they wanted him to save PTL. However, Edge was a bastard and hit a superplex off the turnbuckles and got the big victory. After the match, Carlito coped with the loss by storming the ring and attacking Edge. Carlito took a microphone and said that he wasn't in the match, therefore he's not fired. This got a mixed reaction from the crowd.
Winner: Edge @ 29:44 (76/70/83)

NEW Tag Team Championship:
Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Yoshiro Tajiri © vs. Bubba and Devon Dudley

This was an awesome tag team match that blew away their previous encounter on Saturday Night. The Dudleyz brought their working boots and were able to mix well with the stiff shots and high flying moves of their opponents. The action spilled all over ringside, and both teams were nearly counted out on a few occasions. The finish came down to Tajiri attempting to spit green mist in Bubba's face. Bubba moved and Tajiri accidently spit on Liger, with the mist covering up his eyes (on the mask, of course). The Dudleyz then delivered the 3D to both men and Bubba covered Tajiri for the victory, winning the titles in the process!
Winners: The Dudley Boyz @ 13:19 (90/81/100)

Boston Harbor Championship:
James Gibson © vs. Chris Jericho

Last month at Resistance, they went to a 30 minute draw. In the build for this match, both Gibson and Jericho boasted that they would defeat one another in under five minutes. They sure made a good attempt at it, as the early goings of the match featured both men eagerly and aggressively going for their respective submission finishers. The match went longer than five minutes, and they were able to match the quality of their Resistance match. Gibson and Jericho were at a stalemate and their battle spilled to ringside. Gibson whipped Jericho into the steel steps, which cut a nasty gash into his back. Jericho was outraged and flung Gibson into the barricade gut first. Both men were hurting and they spilled back into the ring, but them being so weak gave a surprise third party the advantage. Newcomer Petey Williams ran into the ring and hit the Canadian Destroyer on James Gibson! The crowd roared with surprise, most of them had never seen the Destroyer before. Jericho stood still out of shock and was an easy target for the Canadian Destroyer as well! By this time the referee called for the bell, and called the match a no contest. Williams then grabbed the Boston Harbor belt and posed with it, before running out into the crowd.
No contest due to interferance @ 20:44 (97/94/100)

NEW World Championship:
John Bradshaw Layfield © vs. The Rock

This match featured no disqualifications, and both men took full advantage of that rule. There were very few actual wrestling holds in this match, as both men wanted to kill each other. They brawled on all four sides of the ring and used everything in their path as weapons. The Rock smashed a monitor from the announce table over JBL's head. JBL came back with a sick chair shot that busted Rock wide open. JBL focused his assault on Rock's head and continued to also target the ankle that the Bashams had destroyed a few weeks ago. JBL threw the steel steps into the ring and wanted to powerbomb Rock onto them. Rock countered and hit the Rock Bottom onto the steps! By this point the Cabinet ran in. Orlando Jordan held Rock still while the Bashams took turns hitting Rock with baseball bats. The crowd was now chanting "CSW" in hopes that the new hirees would make the save. There was no sign of them. JBL, who was bleeding heavily, got to his feet and hit the clothesline from Hell on Rock. JBL went for the cover and it got two. JBL then hit a second clothesline from Hell, and this time managed to cover Rock for the victory.
Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield @ 17:10 (92/96/83)

Even though he had won the match, JBL was not finished with The Rock. JBL instructed the Bashams to repeat their attack on Rock's ankle. The Bashams were happy to oblige. Danny wrapped a chair around Rock's ankle while Doug hit a leg drop off the turnbuckle onto it! JBL said that wasn't enough and Orlando wrapped a chair around Rock's neck. Doug was about to leap off the turnbuckle onto it when "Personal Jesus" started playing on the sound system. The lights went out... and when they came back on, Steve Corino, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong were all standing at ringside, one on each side of the ring. The crowd went nuts as the CSW guys stormed into the ring and wiped out the Cabinet! Samoa Joe hit a musclebuster on Orlando Jordan, Roderick Strong hit a modified backbreaker on Doug Basham, Austin Aries hit a dragon suplex on Danny Basham, and Steve Corino put JBL down with the Old School Expulsion! To cap it all off, Austin Aries climbed to the top turnbuckle and hit the 450 splash on JBL! The show ended with Corino, Joe, Aries, and Strong holding each other's arms in the air, posing over the wreckage known as the Cabinet!

NWA: New England Wrestling
Saturday Night
November 25th 2006

The show opens with some still photo highlights from Methodical Madness. Dramatic music plays as Steve Corino, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong lay waste to the Cabinet.

President Rowe, Professor Plague, and Dapper Dave Choate welcome us to the show in a studio. Tonight's Saturday Night is a "Best of" episode, featuring some of the best matches that we've seen so far on Saturday Night!

The first match featured is from the 7/1 edition of Saturday Night. It is America's Most Wanted retaining the NEW Tag Team Championship over D'Lo Brown and Tajiri at 6:28. This was a forgotten little gem of a match, and it is fun to look at this match because so much has changed since then. (82/73/91)

Next is a match from the 8/5 episode. It is Carlito's debut match against Ron Killings. This is another solid mid-card match, and good to look back on since Carlito has been so instrumental in PTL coming to New England. Carlito won thanks to a run-in from Rene Dupree. (83/78/88)

A big match from 8/26 is highlighted next. One week removed from Summerslam, Chris Jericho wins his coveted NEW Championship back in a triple threat match against defending champ The Rock and John Bradshaw Layfield. This was a ppv quality match, and it was the last time we saw The Rock before he went on tour as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Jericho picked up the win at 9:26. (93/97/86)

Next is some footage from 9/2 when the PTL invasion began in full force. It moves ahead to Manchester Mayhem and the big ten man tag match from that show. It finishes off with some clips from last night's Methodical Madness pay-per-view, including Edge and Matt Sydal fighting as the last two survivors in the ten man survival match. Edge defeated Matt Sydal, which means that the PTL guys are all FIRED (though there is debate over Carlito, since he was not in the match).

The final segment of this "Best of" show is Rey Mysterio defending the NEW Championship against Kid Kash from 10/28. This was an awesome match, and really made both men look like stars. Mysterio won at 14:23 with the West Coast Pop before it became a run-in festival. (89/84/95)

Rowe, Plague, and Choate then spend some time putting over how wonderful Methodical Madness was and speculate on what could possibly happen Monday night at Blizzard!

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
December 4th 2006

President Rowe and Professor Plague open the show stating that Mick Foley and Rhino have requested to have their shot at the NEW Tag Team Championship tonight, instead of at No Leaf Clover. This majestic bout will main event tonight's show! They also respond to the announcement that NEW's match at Starrcade will be JBL vs. Steve Corino in a NEW/CSW Championship unification match!

The music plays and the pyro explodes!

Right after the music cuts off, Steve Corino, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong come right out to the ring. Corino says that he is tired of running in on the Cabinet's matches. Tonight, they want the Cabinet in a head on collision. This only brings out Eric Bischoff. Bischoff tells them that they are wrestling without contracts, thus they can be booted from the building at any time he wishes. He says it's time for them to back up their actions in the ring. Bischoff books Aries and Strong in a match against Rob Van Dam and Edge, and tells the CSW guys to stay out of the Cabinet's main event match tonight, otherwise there will be grave consequences! (88%)

Rene Dupree vs. D'Lo Brown
Booker T was on commentary during the match. He put Dupree over as being very talented, he was impressed in his match against him last week on Blizzard. However, Booker thinks Dupree is an arrogant sucka and needs to be taught some respect. Dupree and Brown put on a very good, competitive match, up until the finish. Brown went for the Lo Down, but Dupree pushed the referee into the ropes to knock Brown down. Dupree followed this up with his Michinoku Driver and got the win!
Winner: Rene Dupree @ 5:00 (76/84/86)

Backstage, Eric Bischoff approaches Carlito and accuses him of being behind Chris Hero's disturbance last week. Carlito says that he had nothing to do with Hero being there. Bischoff doesn't believe Carlito, and makes a match for No Leaf Clover, pitting Carlito against Hero. Carlito's spot on the NEW roster is on the line! (84%)

America's Most Wanted vs. Chris Sabin and Xavier
Sabin and Xavier are now a full time team, calling themselves the Evil Angels. They come out to a new entrance by Killswitch Engage. This match was extremely exciting, and there were many nearfalls. The crowd reaction was lukewarm until near the end, when they were leaping out of their seats for each near fall. Finally Sabin hit the Cradle Suplex on Storm to gain the win for this up and coming new team!
Winners: Evil Angels @ 9:01 (75/76/93)

Backstage, Chris Jericho is putting himself over again. He says that even though he hates James Gibson, he at least respects him. But Jericho does not respect Petey Williams in the slightest. Jericho said that NEW was built on his shoulders, and that Gibson has earned his place in NEW, but Williams has just waltzed in and expected opportunities to be handed right to him. Petey Williams then comes in and gets into Jericho's face. Williams says that all he wants is a shot at the Boston Harbor Championship. Williams promises that he only needs one shot to prove himself and if he loses, he will accept it and start over from the beginning. Jericho scoffs, but President Rowe at commentary has an inspired idea. Rowe makes Gibson vs. Jericho vs. Williams for No Leaf Clover! (97%)

Boston Harbor Championship:
James Gibson © vs. Brian Kendrick

This is another very exciting match up. Kendrick does not look out of his league one bit, and brings a strong fight to the champ. Gibson tries to keep the action on the ground, but Kendrick sneaks in some high flying moves. They wrestle through a commercial break, where Kendrick takes control with some vicious armbars. Gibson comes back and locks Kendrick into the Trailer Hitch, securing himself the submission victory.
Winner: James Gibson @ 15:55 (79/87/89)

In a taped interview, The Rock announces that he has recovered from his injuries enough to come back. Next week on Blizzard, The Rock is coming with one goal in mind: to beat the holy hell out of JBL. Rock has another shot at the NEW Championship coming up at No Leaf Clover, and Rock is more determined than ever! (94%)

Rob Van Dam and Edge vs. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong
Last week RVD turned on Edge, and Bischoff is demanding that they get along this week. Of course, they don't, making them easy targets to the hard hitting offense of Aries and Strong. Strong debuts a few of his vicious back breakers on a helpless Edge, while RVD just scoffs. Aries ends up putting Edge away with the 450 Splash, gaining a huge upset in the process. After the match, RVD high fives both Aries and Strong, and hits a Five Star Frog Splash on Edge for good measure.
Winners: Austin Aries and Roderick Strong @ 5:15 (75/78/91)

Backstage, Eric Bischoff is throwing a fit over what just happend in the ring with RVD. He is interupted by former PTL stars Matt Sydal and Frankie Kazarian, who were both fired at Methodical Madness. They are asking Bischoff for a job back. Bischoff tells them that the roster is full and to be quite honest, he was glad to see them gone. Sydal gets in Bischoff's face and promises that he hasn't seen the last of them. (88%)

NEW Tag Team Championship:
Doug and Danny Basham © vs. Mick Foley and Rhino

Aries and Strong are at the commentator's booth, as they never left the arena after their match. JBL and Orlando Jordan also join the announce table area, and they banter back and forth throughout the match. The match itself is quite exciting, as Foley and Rhino bring their trademark ® wild brawling. Foley actually manages to bloody Doug with some stiff punches. Meanwhile, Rhino whips Danny into the steel steps, busting him open too. The match is heading into Foley and Rhino's favor, when Rhino hits the Gore on Danny. However, the referee is distracted by JBL at ringside long enough so that Doug switches places with Danny. Rhino tags in Foley, who also was distracted. Doug, catches Foley off guard with a roll-up to gain the cheap victory and to retain the titles. From here, it turns into a wild brawl as Corino and Joe run in and the war between the Cabinet and the CSW guys rages on!
Winners: The Basham Brothers @ 10:45 (76/88/81)

The show runs out of time as the brawl continues, seemingly long into the night...

Preview for NEW Blizzard:

NEW Champion John Bradshaw Layfield has been in a rotten mood since Methodical Madness. Even though he retained the NEW title over The Rock, he has had four former CSW stars jumping him and the Cabinet at his every turn. JBL has demanded interview time to try and straighten a few things out.

Eric Bischoff has announced that he is willing to hire back one member of the recently fired Pushing the Limits. While Chris Hero will be battling Carlito at No Leaf Clover for Carlito's spot on the roster, Bischoff has announced that Frankie Kazarian and Matt Sydal must compete in a "Best of Seven" series. The winner will be rehired by NEW! The first match will take place on this week, on Blizzard!

The tension between Edge and Rob Van Dam has boiled over. This week's main event will be the long awaited showdown between these two huge stars of New England Wrestling. Edge will face Rob Van Dam, one on one! Oh, and Eric Bischoff's bodyguard, Hardcore Holly, has been assigned as the special enforcer for the match. Does this spell trouble for RVD?

Also scheduled to appear: Steve Corino, Samoa Joe, Chris Jericho, Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson, Petey Williams, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Rhino, Mick Foley, and Booker T.

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
December 11th 2006

The show opens with John Bradshaw Layfield sitting in a studio. He does not look pleased.

JBL: I am the New England Wrestling Champion, and it's about time that I started acting like it. I have been far too lenient and tolerant of these maniacs from CSW who think they are good enough to stroll right into my turf. CSW went out of business for a reason, and it is because of Steve Corino. Yes, that's right, Steve Corino still wears that CSW title belt around his waist as if it means something. Well, at Starrcade, I'm going to kill CSW forever, and in the most gloriously ironic moment in wrestling history, the man who trashed CSW from day one will be the last CSW Champion. Steve Corino, I am sick and tired of you and your friends jumping me and the Cabinet every time we step into the ring. Tonight, your friends will battle my Chief of Staff, Orlando Jordan, and my Secretaries of Defense, the Basham Brothers! I will stay out of it if you do. But tonight, I am calling you out, Steve Corino. At the end of this show I am going out to that ring and I am not going anywhere until you come out and face me like a man. And one more thing, it was my understanding that six CSW wrestlers were supposed to arrive in NEW... but so far I only count five. Where the hell is Alex Shelley? I know he's buddies with Aries and Strong, which leads me to believe that he will pop up at just the most convenient moment possible to mess with me. I want answers, Steve Corino. You will give me my answers or I will make you bleed like the little bitch that I know you are. So says the wrestling...God! (77%)

Best of Seven Series (winner gets a contract)
Matt Sydal vs. Frankie Kazarian
Match One (Sydal: 0, Kazarian: 0)

Both men are eager to impress here. They start off with a hand shake as they were running buddies in the PTL stable. However, as the match progresses Kazarian becomes more and more aggressive with his offense. Kazarian chokes Sydal on the ropes on more than a few occasions, almost getting himself disqualified in the process. Sydal is shocked at the behavior of his former friend, and slaps Kazarian in the face. This sparks a brawl which results in Sydal spilling Kazarian into the ringside area. Sydal hits a corkscrew moonsault off the turnbuckle onto the floor, popping the crowd. Sydal seems to have everything in hand when the fired Chris Hero runs through the audience leaps over the guard rail and hits Sydal with the Hero's Welcome. The referee somehow missed it. Kazarian capitilizes and hits the Wave of the Future in the ring for the victory.
Winner: Frankie Kazarian @ 7:55 (75/63/87)

After the match, Kazarian and Hero begin to beat down Sydal until their former leader, Carlito, runs in to make the save. President Rowe on commentary reminds us that Carlito and Hero are facing each other at No Leaf Clover, with Carlito's spot in NEW up for grabs to the fired Chris Hero.

After a commercial break, Ric Flair makes his return to NEW by satellite feed from North Carolina. Flair has clearly been partying.

Flair: WHOOOOOOO! The Nature Boy is coming back to NEW! I've been having the time of my life in the Mid-Atlantic, I gotta tell you, there is no greater territory in wrestling! Hey Mick Foley, I haven't forgotten about you. It seems to me that while I have been gone you have been losing an awful lot of matches, Foley. You lost that Hell in a Cell against Dreamer, you lost a street fight against Sonny Siaki of all people, you couldn't even win the tag team titles! Foley, I have to hand it to you, I did not think it was possible for you to sink any lower than you were, but WHOOOOOO, you proved me wrong! I left NEW and become the NWA:M-A Champion and I proved to the entire world that I'm still the greatest wrestler alive! I may be 57 years old, but I'm a better athlete than you were at 27. I'm coming back to NEW, Foley, and I want to wrestle you again. And it's not going to be in Hell in a Cell like you wanted, no, I'm not having that bull. I want you, Foley, in a 30 minute iron man match! And I want that match... at No Leaf Clover! WHOOOOOOOOO! (91%)

Evil Angels vs. Test and Ace Steel
This is a rematch from Methodical Madness, where Test and Steel won the first time. This turns out to be a very good television match, as Chris Sabin and Xavier are really hitting it off as a tag team. They do a good job of keeping Test and Steel from building any momentum, until Test floors Sabin with the big boot at the four minute mark. Test and Steel then make frequent tags and destroy Xavier with some power moves, creating some major sympathy for the plucky cruiserweight. Sabin finally counters with a drop toe hold on Test, who falls into Steel, accidently pushing him off the apron. Sabin hits the Cradle Suplex on Test and goes for the cover, but the referee won't count since now Steel is technically the legal man. This is a temporary nuisance, as Xavier is tagged in and he ends up cleaning house. Xavier hits the X-Breaker on Steel for the win to a good ovation from the crowd.
Winners: Evil Angels @ 10:06 (81/74/89)

Backstage, Eric Bischoff heads into the Cabinet's locker area. He warns them that they must defeat the CSW guys in their upcoming match, otherwise they bring shame to the good name of New England Wrestling. (78%)

Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong vs. Orlando Jordan and the Basham Brothers
The match starts off hot with a three on three brawl, but quickly cools off when the Cabinet takes control of the match. The Bashams are very fond of using a reverse chin-lock to isolate Aries from making any tags, and the segment goes on for a bit longer than it probably should have. The crowd is chanting "We want Joe" and they get what they want when Aries finally makes the classic babyface comeback against Doug Basham and tags in the Samoan Submission Machine. Joe proceeds to destroy both Basham Brothers. Orlando Jordan is watching from the apron, too scared to move. This is until Doug Basham lunges at Jordan for a desperate tag, giving Jordan no choice. Jordan is then the victim of some Roderick Strong chops, an Austin Aries drop kick, and finally the muscle buster from Joe. Joe then covers Jordan for the win.
Winners: Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong @ 8:11 (77/77/78)

Backstage, Booker T is interviewed by Dapper Dave Choate. Choate apologizes for the behavior of Kid Kash and Rene Dupree on behalf of NEW. Booker says it's okay as Kid Kash has been suspended for his offensive racial tirades. Booker says that in a way he doesn't hold it against Kash because he is an inbred redneck who doesn't know any better. But Rene Dupree has no excuse, because Booker knows for a fact that Dupree comes from a background that exercises racial tolerance. Booker calls Dupree a "sucka" and sends a warning out to Dupree to change his ways, otherwise the Bookerman is coming after him. (95%)

Back in the ring, the ring is set up for Chris Jericho's High-light Reel! Jericho is already in the ring and introduces his guest, Petey Williams! Rather than attempting to interview Williams, Jericho just asks who the hell he thinks he is. Why should Williams be getting a Boston Harbor Championship match at the same event (No Leaf Clover) as Jericho? Jericho is the man who carried NEW in the shaky early days, Jericho should not have to share billing with a man who just showed up one day wanting a title match. Williams tells Jericho that he is full of crap and that he does not respect anyone who thinks he is bigger than the company he works for. This boils down into a brawl between the two. Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson comes out to the stage to watch the chaos, but doesn't get involved. He is seen laughing at a few points, as Williams tears apart Jericho's set in amidst the confusion. (89%)

Rob Van Dam vs. Edge, Special Guest Enforcer: Hardcore Holly
Eric Bischoff made this match hoping that his two lackeys, RVD and Edge, would be able to settle their differences. They don't and they put on a violent match, as Holly is not counting disqualifications. RVD and Edge both use a chair as a weapon at numerous points. RVD manages to hit the Van Daminator on Edge, but Holly does a slow count. RVD is confused as to why Holly is showing preferential treatment to Edge and gets in his face. Holly angrils snaps and hits the Alabama Slam on RVD. He drapes Edge over RVD and does the fast count, ending the match on a sour note.
Winner: Edge @ 9:01 (91/89/93)

Steve Corino comes out to the ring and takes a microphone. He has the CSW Championship over his shoulder.

Corino: So, JBL, you're calling ME out? I thought I'd beat you to the punch, so I could actually get a few words in before you come out and do that routine that involves never shutting up. Seriously, JBL, when I was in CSW I would watch NEW Saturday Night when I got home, courtesy of TiVo, and I swear every time you opened your stupid mouth I just wanted to shut you up. And now, at Starrcade, I will finally get that opportunity. I am going to shut JBL up once and for all. I am not losing the match, JBL. Do you think for one second that I will allow the company that I loved so much, CSW, get it's good name dragged through the mud by allowing YOU to be the CSW Champion? Over my dead body. And as for Alex Shelley, I have not heard from him in weeks. Aries and Strong haven't communicated with him since the last edition of Cyclone Saturday Night. My guess as to where he might be is as good as yours.

At this point, JBL comes out and gets in the ring. He has a mic and has some words to say.

JBL: Oh, the lies that keep spewing out of your mouth, Corino. You "loved" CSW so much? Then maybe you should join it... in retirement! I see right through you, Corino. I see you as the coward that you really are. When NEW started, you had the chance to win the NEW Championship. You advanced... over me... in a tournament. You could've won it all, but you were scared. You were so scared that you got out of NEW as fast as you could and headed over to CSW. You left the big leagues and went down to the minors, where you thought you'd have it easier. Better yet, you left before I could get my revenge. But now you're back... and I have all the time in the world that I need. So, Corino, you say you are going to shut me up? Well, I can't wait for you to shut me up. I say, give it your best shot.

Corino and JBL then stand nose to nose, glaring at each other. It seems like they are about to brawl, but before anything can happen... time is out and Blizzard must sign off. See you folks next week! (95%)

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
December 18th 2006

President Rowe and Professor Plague are on commentary. We have a big show tonight, as Chris Jericho has demanded two things: he wants a match against Petey Williams and he wants it to be the main event of the show.

Best of Seven Series (Winner gets a contract)
Matt Sydal vs. Frankie Kazarian
Match Two (Sydal: 0, Kazarian: 1)

Sydal and Kazarian put on their usual very good match with one another. Sydal controls in the early going, until Kazarian rakes the eyes and hits a springboard drop kick to pick up the advantage for a bit. Sydal makes a comeback around the nine minute mark and positions himself on the top rope. Chris Hero runs in through the crowd again and tries to knock Sydal down, but Carlito was in disguise as a fan in the front row and stopped him (Carlito had his hair matted down and was wearing glasses, a true Clark Kent moment). The distraction still impacts the match, as Kazarian leaps up and superplexes Sydal to the mat. Kazarian goes for the cover and gets the victory at 12:11, giving him a 2-0 advantage.
Winner: Frankie Kazarian (78/69/87)

-It is announced that the Best of Seven series will continue at No Leaf Clover... inside a steel cage!

-Backstage, Mick Foley answers Ric Flair's challenge for a 30 minute iron man match at No Leaf Clover. Foley says it will be an honor to embarass Flair in a pure wrestling contest. Foley adds one more stipulation... if Foley wins the match, then Flair MUST agree to a Hell in a Cell match. He will let Flair take the Christmas break to ponder this over (97%).

NWA Tag Team Championship tournament:
The Dudley Boyz vs. America's Most Wanted

This is the usual good match these two teams have together. It is a bit refreshing in that AMW don't go for their usual heel trickery to win the match, but put on a great performance with frequent tags and clean moves. This catches the Dudleyz off guard, as they do not feel the need to go for the tables this time. AMW put forth a great effort and manage to hit the Death Sentence on Bubba for the victory at 7:55.
Winners: America's Most Wanted (82/76/88)

-Backstage, Ace Steel cuts a goofy promo. He says he is happy to finally have his own nemesis in NEW, as he loves blood feuds. At this point, no one is quite sure who he is addressing, but he clears it up by calling out Chris Sabin. He is wrestling Sabin in the next match and he is going to settle things between them once and for all. The camera then pans to Chris Sabin watching the interview with a look of "What the hell?" on this face (70%)

Ace Steel (with Test) vs. Chris Sabin (with Xavier)
Steel walks into this match as if he's looking to settle a long term score with Sabin. Sabin is quite confused and does not quite know how to react to this. Steel takes control early in the match with some aggressive brawling and power moves. Steel becomes a bit too aggressive for his own good and accidently spears himself into the ring post when Sabin moved out of the way. Sabin tries to slow things down a bit with some mat wrestling, in an attempt to calm down the psychotic Steel. It works for a little bit, and Sabin picks the pace up again with some high flying moves. Sabin goes for the Cradle Suplex, but Steel wakes up and viciously slams his fingers into Sabin's eyes, apparently blinding him! Sabin is helpless and Steel hits a disgusting spinebuster to gain the victory at 9:00!
Winner: Ace Steel (87/75/100)

-After the match, Xavier checks on Sabin, while Steel celebrates. Even Test looks horrified over what Steel has just done.

-President Rowe announces that he wants a solid main event for No Leaf Clover, and does not want to wait until Starrcade to find out who The Rock will be challenging. Thus, he adds Steve Corino to the main event of No Leaf Clover, it will now be a triple threat match for the NEW Championship!

-After a commercial break, the Cabinet comes out to the ring. JBL is still sick of being blindsided by CSW. He wants CSW in a match tonight, all four of them against the Cabinet. JBL also warns them that he wants answers as to where Alex Shelley is. JBL accuses CSW of keeping Shelley on the sidelines on purpose to bring him out to strike when he is most vulnerable. JBL calls the CSW guys a bunch of cowards (77%).

CSW (Steve Corino, Austin Aries, Samoa Joe, and Roderick Strong) vs. The Cabinet (JBL, Orlando Jordan, and the Basham Brothers)
This is a fast paced match that probably did not get as much time as it needed to tell a story. It was still quite good, as both teams made frequent tags and the action never died down. Some highlights include Samoa Joe hitting the musclebuster on JBL, but Jordan breaking up the cover attempt, and Austin Aries hitting the 450 splash on Danny Basham. The finish came down to JBL tagging in Orlando Jordan, because JBL didn't want to face Steve Corino, who had been freshly tagged in. Corino destroyed Jordan and hit the Old School Expulsion! Aries, Strong, and Joe prevented the Bashams from breaking up the cover attempt, allowing Corino to pick up a huge win for CSW at 8:55!
Winners: Steve Corino, Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong (81/81/82)

-Backstage, the newly unsuspended Kid Kash to spewing some rascist garbage again, claiming that Eric Bischoff promised him that he could never be suspended ever again. This time The Rock walks by as Kash is trash talking and gets into Kash's face. The Rock challenges Kash to a match, but as he is talking he is blindsided by Rene Dupree. Dupree and Kash lay down a double beating on The Rock, until Booker T runs in to break it up! It looks as though we have a tag team main event for the next Blizzard! (95%)

Rob Van Dam vs. Hardcore Holly
Since RVD is now on Bischoff's bad side, he has to step into the ring with Bischoff's body guard, Holly. Holly is pretty much a jobber for the stars, but RVD sells for him for several minutes, making Holly look like a threat. It is mostly a guise, as RVD makes the comeback, hitting all of his trademarks spots, which pops the crowd. RVD is thwarted by a blind shot from Edge, who runs in behind the referee's back. This allows Holly to hit the Alabama Slam and gain the upset victory at 5:19!
Winner: Hardcore Holly (79/76/83)

Chris Jericho vs. Petey Williams
The Boston Harbor Champion, James Gibson, comes out to do commentary for this match. Gibson states that he respects both men, but he greatly dislikes them too. Gibson promises to show why he will always be remembered as the greatest Boston Harbor champ at No Leaf Clover by beating NEW's biggest star in Jericho and NEW's biggest newcomer in Williams. The match itself is quite good, though the crowd doesn't get into it as much as they should, due to both men being heels. There is a section of fans cheering for the Canadian Destroyer, so Williams does have a cult following. The match goes along smoothly until Jericho becomes frustrated when Williams keeps escaping the Walls of Jericho. Jericho then takes a chair and cracks it over Williams' skull, earning himself the disqualification at 10:01. Jericho then throws the chair at Gibson, prompting Gibson to charge the ring and tackle Jericho. A three way brawl erupts with no one gaining the upper hand.
Winner by DQ: Petey Williams (76/66/86)

The show ends with referees seperating the three men from one another.

President Rowe and Professor Plague wish everyone watching Happy Holidays and that Blizzard will return with new shows in 2007!

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard!
January 1, 2007

-President Rowe and Professor Plague are on commentary. They announce that tonight's main event is NEW Champion JBL vs. CSW's Roderick Strong.

Chris Hero and Frankie Kazarian vs. Matt Sydal and Carlito
Hero is wrestling Carlito at No Leaf Clover on 1/12 for Carlito's spot on the NEW roster, while Kazarian will be wrestling Sydal in a steel cage in their ongoing "best of seven" series. This match is awesome, with some high flying spots and virtually no botches by Carlito. The action gets a bit too intense for the referee to handle and he finally disqualifies Carlito for using a steel chair on Hero at 6:59. They brawl for a bit before Carlito and Sydal finally clear Kazarian and Hero from the ring.
Winners by DQ: Chris Hero and Frankie Kazarian (81/73/90)

-Backstage, CSW World Champion Steve Corino cuts a somber promo about his match against JBL at Starrcade. Corino talks about how proud he was to have been a part of CSW, and how he feels that the CSW legacy can continue on with his career. Corino vows to defeat JBL and become the NEW champion, and how he must because if JBL is allowed to hold the CSW title he will be taking a dump on how great CSW was. (95%)

America's Most Wanted vs. Christian York and Sonjay Dutt
This match is meant to showcase AMW as they will be heading to Starrcade on Sunday to compete in the mini-tournament to become NWA Tag Team Champions! This is another great tag team match, as York and Dutt provide some tough competition for AMW. AMW are no longer full blown heels and wrestle a fair match, finally putting York away with the Death Sentence at 8:00.
Winners: America's Most Wanted (80/70/90)

-Backstage, Ace Steel cuts another insane promo about how proud he is that he blinded Chris Sabin. He says that Sabin had it coming and it serves him right that he'll never be able to compete again. Steel is then jumped by Sabin's tag team partner, Xavier, and they brawl until being pulled apart by agents. Xavier vs. Steel will take place officially after the break. (70%)

Xavier vs. Ace Steel (with Test)
Xavier is furious and aggressive during this bout, trying to gain some revenge for his fallen partner, Chris Sabin. Xavier dominates in the early going, but Test trips him from ringside, allowing Steel to gain control for a long portion. Steel tries to blind Xavier with his thumbs the same way he did to Sabin, but Xavier escapes and builds a come back. Xavier gets carried away and chokes Steel with his boot in the corner, forcing the referee to pull him off. While doing so, Steel pulls out some brass knuckles and clocks Xavier with them. The ref didn't see it and Steel picks up the win at 15:11.
Winner: Ace Steel (85/70/100)

-Backstage, NEW World Champion JBL cuts an arrogant promo towards Steve Corino. JBL talks about how proud he is to be an "NEW original" and scoffs at the possibility of Corino holding the NEW title. JBL makes fun of Corino for leaving NEW to join CSW, which folded. JBL threatens to not only beat Corino at Starrcade, but to force him into an early retirement. JBL also once again demands to know the whereabouts of Alex Shelly, who has not been heard from in months, and has not debuted in NEW despite being signed at the same time the rest of Corino's crew was. (88%)

Ric Flair, Sonny Siaki, and Tommy Dreamer vs. Mick Foley, Rhino, and D'Lo Brown
This match was nothing special, but a means to get some talent on the show. Flair and Foley are heading into a 30 minute Iron Man match at No Leaf Clover. This match was pretty meh, but had some highlights, which included Foley sticking Mr. Socko down Siaki's throat and Rhino goring Dreamer off the apron. Flair ended up surprising Foley with a roll-up to gain the victory at 5:55.
Winners: Ric Flair, Sonny Siaki, and Tommy Dreamer (85/89/77)

-Backstage, Chris Jericho busts into the locker room of Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson. Jericho demands to know who the hell Gibson thinks he is, challenging El Hijo Del Santo for the NWA World title at Starrcade. Gibson tells Jericho to "go to hell" and they end up brawling again. The brawl turns messy as they fight over to the garage doors. Jericho slams Gibson to the concrete floor and then drops the metal door right onto his gut! Gibson sells the attack as if he just had his ribs broken! (88%)

-Booker T comes out to the ring for his match with The Rock against Kid Kash and Rene Dupree. However, Dupree and Kash attack Booker on his way to the ring and double whip him into the ring post. The Rock comes out to make the save, but Dupree and Kash escape through the audience. The Rock vows revenge. (84%)

Non-title match:
NEW World Champion John Bradshaw Layfield (with the Cabinet) vs. Roderick Strong (with Steve Corino, Austin Aries, and Samoa Joe)

JBL and Strong put on a pretty good match, highlighted with a lengthy exchange of chops. JBL's chest is completely red and bleeding after suffering an especially nasty chop. Strong follows it up by delivering a special backbreaker on JBL and getting a near two fall on the champion. As usual, the Cabinet and CSW start fighting at ringside, distracting the competitors in the ring. The confusion leads to Orlando Jordan hitting a blind chair shot on Strong, who stumbles into the clothesline from hell and the victory from JBL at 10:14.
Winner: John Bradshaw Layfield (82/84/80)

After the match, the brawl continues, except the Cabinet take control this time. The Bashams hit double chair shots on Samoa Joe, putting the big man down. Austin Aries goes for a springboard on Jordan, who catches Aries and drops him with a spinebuster. Strong is still down, and cannot help Corino when JBL hits him with the clothesline from hell for good measure. The CSW guys are all down, with the Cabinet standing over them in victory! JBL then adds insult to injury by holding up Corino's CSW Championship and posing with it! This unholy sight ends the program.

NWA: Starrcade
January 7th 2006

The show opens with a montage of the build for the big matches of the evening. This consists mainly of Steve Corino and JBL talking trash to each other, Randy Orton putting himself over, Midwest officials teasing a surprise NWA challenger, Benoit/Angle and Collyer/Regal doing battle, and closes with El Hijo Del Santo winning the NWA World title at Clash of the Champions.

-For old time's sake, Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler are on commentary.

NWA Tag Team Tournament Semifinal:
America's Most Wanted vs. The Naturals

In NEW, America's Most Wanted are in the process of turning into tweeners, but they heeled it up for this performance against their old rivals, The Naturals. The match does not click the way it should, but featured a lot of noteworthy moments. Andy Douglas hit a beautiful shooting star press off the ropes onto Chris Harris, who had run for cover due to being overwhelmed by his faster opponents. Later, Chase Stevens attempted a SSP off the corner turnbuckle, but James Storm climbed up and stopped him, and AMW delivered a modified Death Sentence off the turnbuckle to ringside! AMW were not able to get Stevens into the ring fast enough to capitilize, and the Naturals eventually made the comeback and Douglas rolled up Harris to advance to the finals at 11:17.
Winners: The Naturals (68/62/74)

-In a surprise appearance, NWA Mexico National Champion Juventud Guerrera came out to the ring. Juventud cut a promo stating that "The Juice" wanted a match, he did not take kindly to being left off of the NWA's biggest show of the year. He was then answered by NEW's Chris Jericho, who was feeling similar resentment. The match is on now!

NWA Mexican National Championship:
Juventud Guerrera © vs. Chris Jericho

The bout is contested under 2 out of 3 fall rules, and this is a classic encounter! Jericho and Juventud are stalemate at the start, with Juventud gaining the advantage after breaking a head lock. Jericho rakes Juvie's eyes and takes control for a bit, getting a near fall after a Lionsault. They exchange some shots before Jericho hits a blind low blow and covers Juvie with his feet on the ropes to get the first pinfall of the match at 10:22! They seperate and Juvie rolls out of the ring to regain himself. Jericho chases him, but Juvie drop toe holds him into the steel steps. Juvie then drops Jericho gut first on the barricade and whips him violently into the ring posts, bustin Jericho open. Juvie rolls Jericho back into the ring and hits the Juvie Driver to get a pinfall at 15:45. Both men unleash their fury, as the match turns into a hard hitting spot fest. It ends when Juventud nails Jericho with an off the turnbuckle Juvie Driver and gets the hard earned win at 19:22!
Winner and still the Mexican National Champion: Juventud Guerrera (92/97/81)

NWA Tag Team Tournament Semifinal:
The Hardy Boyz vs. Los Demonios

The crowd was not into this match as much as they should have been due to being fired up from the previous bout. The match was very solid, with some fun double teams by all four men. Highlights included Matt Hardy powerbombing both Averno and Mephisto off the turnbuckle when they were trying to superplex Jeff. Jeff followed it up with a Swanton Splash on Averno while Matt hit the big leg drop on Mephisto. Los Demonios came back and forced Jeff into being the face in peril and proceeded to destroy him for several minutes. After many near falls, Jeff finally made the hot tag to Matt, who cleaned house. Matt hit the Twist of Fate on Averno at 12:02 to win the match for the Hardyz and to advance to the finals.
Winners: The Hardy Boyz (71/60/82)

-Backstage, Chris Jericho is throwing a temper tantrum over his loss to Juventud Guerrera. He silences himself when he sees Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson arriving. Jericho then sneaks up on Gibson and tackles him right into the ribs he injured on the last Blizzard. Jericho then violently shoves Gibson face first into the concrete wall of the garage area. Gibson immediately suffers a nasty nose bleed and looks as if he might have suffered a concussion. J.R. and King speculate as to whether or not Gibson will be able to compete in tonight's main event.

NWA Tag Team Tournament Finals:
The Hardy Boyz vs. The Naturals

Both teams were exhausted from their matches from earlier, so this wasn't as fast paced as it might have been. The match still had some fun spots, including The Naturals hitting a sweet powerbomb/neck breaker combo on Jeff Hardy. The teams are pretty evenly matches, so there was no "face in peril" sequence, though the Naturals made more frequent tags through the entire match. The finish came when Andy Douglas went for a corkscrew splash, but Matt Hardy moved out of the way. This enbabled the Hardyz to hit their trademark spots, finishing up with Jeff's Swanton Bomb on Douglas to win the match at 15:10! The Hardyz are the new NWA World Tag Team Champions!
Winners: The Hardy Boyz (72/68/76)

NWA Midwestern Championship:
Chris Benoit © vs. Chad Collyer vs. William Regal vs. Kurt Angle

This match is both for the championship, and for pride. Collyer vs. Regal have been trying to prove their technical mastery, while Angle and Benoit have been feuding over Benoit's lack of intensity since winning the NWA Midwestern Title. Benoit and Angle were pulled into the Regal & Collyer feud over who is the best technical wrestler after a tag match several weeks ago on Burnout. It's a Four Way Dance, so all four guys start out in the ring. Angle and Benoit brawl, while Regal and Collyer attempt to actually wrestle. Angle and Benoit go outside. After some switching around, Regal eliminates Angle via the knucks while the refs back is turned.
First Elimination: Kurt Angle by William Regal.
This allows Regal and Benoit to double team Collyer. After some double teaming, Benoit eliminates Regal via Crossface while Regal was holding Collyer down for a diving Headbutt.
Second Elimination: William Regal by Chris Benoit.
This leaves us with Collyer vs. Benoit. The two wrestle like crazy. Benoit has the definite advantage, as both he and Regal were attacking Collyer earlier in the match. Collyer has lots of fight in him, though. Collyer tries to finish Benoit with the Texas Cloverleaf, and Benoit gets the ropes. The ref taps Collyer on the shoulder to tell him and Collyer raises his hands in Victory, which allows Benoit to hit a Northern Lights Suplex for the win
Winner and still Midwestern Champion: Chris Benoit (85/86/83)

NWA Mid-Atlantic Championship:
The Ultimate Warrior © vs. "Legend Killer" Randy Orton

For those of you wondering why Warrior is the M-A Champ, Plague will be posting his shows when he gets back to school in less than a week. Obviously, this match is not a classic, but it gets the crowd going. There are some nostalgic moments as Warrior gets fired up and unleashes some hard shots on Orton. Orton regains his momentum after an unexpected cameo run in by Papa Shango, who will be appearing for NWA: Hawaii in the near future. Shango evidently put a curse on Warrior, causing him to vomit. Orton is grossed out, but not enough to hit the RKO. Orton's cover is ruined by Warrior getting a foot in the ropes. Orton vents his frustration by RKOing the referee! It is at this point when the legendary Hulk Hogan and Sting rush the ring and beat the crap out of Orton. Sting hits the Stinger Splash and then allows Hogan to hit the leg drop. The pull Warrior over Orton and revive the referee, giving Warrior the victory at 9:34.
Winner and still Mid-Atlantic Champion: The Ultimate Warrior (78/85/64)

NEW/CSW Championship Unification:
NEW Champion John Bradshaw Layfield (with the Cabinet) vs. CSW Champion Steve Corino (with Samoa Joe, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong)

This match is nothing short of a brawl. With the Cabinet and CSW's guys keeping each other at bay at ringside, Corino and JBL proceed to beat the living hell out of each other with stiff shots. JBL unties a turnbuckle padding and violently slams Corino's skull into it repeatedly, busting him open around the five minute mark. The referee calls for the disqualification at 5:09! This brings out NEW President Rowe, who orders the match to continue with NO DISQUALIFICATIONS, THERE MUST BE A WINNER! The match restarts, and JBL targets Corino's bloody forehead. Samoa Joe rushes into the ring and tries to jump JBL, but the Cabinet rushes as well. This prompts a four on four brawl that the referee does not even try to break up. It spills over to ringside. Joe ends up hitting his "ole, ole" kicks on Orlando Jordan, while the Bashams and Aries/Strong disappear into the crowd. JBL is able to keep Corino down long enough to crack a chair across the back of Joe's skull, putting him down. As JBL turns around, Corino drop kicks the chair into his forehead, busting him open as well. They brawl around ringside for a few minutes before Corino goes under the ring for a weapon, and pulls out a chair wrapped in barbed wire! He goes to hit JBL with it, but JBL sacrifices his hands and blocks the shot. JBL gains control of the chair and tries to wipe Corino's face with it, further aggrivating the open wound. The action picks up again and JBL hits the Clothesline from Hell, and goes for the cover and it's 1.....2.....no! JBL is furious, but Corino recovers and hits the Old School Expulsion! Corino covers and it's 1......2...... NO! What the hell is going on! It is at this time when Alex Shelley comes running down to the ring! Shelley has been absent for months, despite Aries and Strong trying to contact him. Shelley grabs the steel chair with the barbed wire chair and swings it at Corino! Before his face disappears under a mask of blood, Corino looks at Shelley with a sheer look of disbelief. Shelley then holds Corino still for another Clothesline from Hell from JBL. JBL then covers Corino and it's 1......2.......3! Dammit, JBL defeated Corino at 22:10!
Winner and the unified NEW/CSW Champion: John Bradshaw Layfield

-AJ Styles comes out to the ring for the main event. He looks ready to go. James Gibson comes out next, and is hobbling. His suffered broken ribs on the last Blizzard and now his nose is bandaged up from the attack he suffered at the hands of Chris Jericho earlier tonight. The Midwest challenger is then announced as none other than the HOMICIDAL, GENOCIDAL, DEATH DEFYING SABU! Finally, the NWA World Heavyweight Champion El Hijo Del Santo comes out and the match is ready to begin!

NWA World Heavyweight Championship:
El Hijo Del Santo © vs. James Gibson vs. AJ Styles vs. Sabu

Gibson is the only man in this match to never be the NWA World Champion, so he has a lot to prove in this match, sadly he is in no where near 100% condition. Santo and Gibson start the match off. Santo honorably shakes Gibson's hand, though even Santo is aware of Gibson's injuries and will take advantage of them if necessary. They tie up and Santo works Gibson's arm. Gibson reverses an arm wrench, and it's broken up when they get into the ropes. Sabu makes a blind tag for himself to Santo, and aggressively attacks Gibson. Sabu slams Gibson to the mat and hits a standing senton splash on the injured ribs. Gibson gasps in pain, but cannot make the tag because Sabu is too quick. Sabu springboards off the ropes, splashing himself on Gibson's ribs yet again. Sabu goes for the cover, but AJ Styles breaks it up. Gibson then manages to tag in Santo, who was not impressed with Sabu's violent behavior. Santo hits a series of arm drags and hip tosses on Sabu and finishes up the sequence with a headscissors take down! Santo goes for the cover, but Styles breaks it up again. Sabu regains some control with some punches. Sabu hits a moonsault off the ropes on Santo, but Santo kicks out of a cover attempt. Sabu, satisfied for now, tags in AJ Styles. Styles tries to pick up the pace against Santo, even going for a Styles Clash in the early going. Santo reverses the Clash, and goes for a surprise roll-up. It nearly works, but Styles kicks out with authority. Styles gets some punches in and hits a flying forearm to Santo's head. Styles climbs to the top for a corkscrew, but Santo moves out of the way. With Styles down, Santo goes for the cobra clutch. Styles is about to pass out, when Sabu interupts the submission hold. Santo then tags in Sabu, who continues to work on Styles and his back. Styles takes a beating from Sabu for several minutes, but makes a comeback after Sabu misses a moonsault. Styles tags in Gibson, who hits a series of clotheslines on Sabu. Gibson, despite his injured ribs, hits a vertical suplex and goes for the cover. Sabu kicks out, and hits a nasty drop kick to Gibson's injured nose. Gibson is bleeding again, but it only fires him up. Gibson hits the Gibson Driver on Sabu and Styles breaks up the cover. Gibson tags in Styles by chopping him, which does not sit well and Styles rams Gibson off the apron to the barricade. Santo is disgusted with what he considers to be poor sportsmanship from his opponents and cleans house on Sabu and Styles. Styles and Sabu then team up and set Santo up for a double superplex off the turnbuckle. Gibson then runs in and powerbombs Styles and Sabu who were superplexing Santo, and all three men are down! Gibson is not the legal man, so he cannot cover anyone! The legal men are Styles and Santo, and the match gradually restarts. Styles returns the favor by chopping Gibson back in as the legal man. Sabu wants a tag, but Gibson drop kicks him off the apron. The ref didn't see this apparently, as Sabu is not tagged in. Gibson is suddenly caught off guard by a lariat from Santo. Santo climbs to the top rope, but Styles tries to knock him down. It backfires as Santo kicks Styles off the apron, with his head bouncing off the mat. With all distractions gone, Santo hits the diving headbutt on Gibson and covers him for the 1......2.......3! Santo retains the World title at 27:45!
Winner and still NWA World Heavyweight Champion: El Hijo Del Santo! (88/89/87)

-The show ends with Santo celebrating with his title, while Gibson grasps himself in pain. Sabu and Styles look on in frustration from ringside.

And that's a wrap!

Quick results for NEW Blizzard, for January 8th 2007!

I just got back from the Blizzard tapings, it was a good time. The arena was packed and hot for most of the action.

Dark matches:
Ron Killings beat Brian Kendrick
Ace Steel beat Jerrelle Clark
Carlito beat Frankie Kazarian

JBL and the Cabinet had an in-ring celebration for JBL unifying the NEW and CSW titles at Starrcade. JBL introduced his new Secretary of State, Alex Shelley! Shelley cut an anti-CSW promo. This brought out the CSW guys, Aries and Strong both wanted a piece of Shelley. Eric Bischoff then came out and made Joe/Corino vs. JBL/Shelley as tonight's main event. Aries and Strong didn't like this announcement and chased Bischoff out of the arena.

The Rock and Booker T beat Kid Kash and Rene Dupree in an entertaining match. I felt kind of bad for Kash, he got saddled with that awful rascist gimmick and now he's being buried because the creative team screwed up. Still, a fun match that ended with The Rock rolling up Kash for the win.

James Gibson arrived at the arena and attacked Chris Jericho from behind. Gibson was furious that Jericho ruined his opportunity at the NWA title at Starrcade.

Petey Williams squashed Shark Boy. Boring match, but the crowd loved the Canadian Destroyer.

The Rock cut a promo about how annoyed he is that JBL and Corino have forgotten him. The Rock is still mad at how the Cabinet put him on the shelf for a few weeks and promises to become the NEW Champion at No Leaf Clover.

Rhino defeated Ric Flair by DQ in a really good match! Dreamer and Siaki ran in, bringing on the disqualification. After the match, Flair announced that Siaki and Dreamer are his new friends and running buddies, and they are a force to be reckoned with.

Rob Van Dam and the Dudley Boyz beat Edge and America's Most Wanted. The match was surprisingly dull, but it advanced both feuds. I'm not really sure where this Duds/AMW feud is going, but oh well. The Dudleyz hit the 3D on Wildcat Chris Harris to win, though Edge and RVD kept brawling.

Steve Corino cut an excellent, heart felt promo about how angry he is that he lost his CSW Championship to JBL of all people. Corino vows to make things right by defeating JBL at No Leaf Clover.

Steve Corino and Samoa Joe beat JBL and Alex Shelly in an excellent match! The crowd was hot for this one, and the action was all over the place. Shelley is a welcome addition to the NEW roster, as the crowd gave him tons of heat. Corino ended up hitting the Old School Expulsion on JBL for the victory, which made everyone happy.

NWA: New England Wrestling
No Leaf Clover
January 12th 2007

Show opens with a video package set to "Shut Me Up" by Mindless Self Indulgence. The song basically goes "I can't wait for you to shut me up, in a fucking minute" and flashes to shots of The Rock, JBL, and Steve Corino. Seems fitting, considering the big mouths on the participants of tonight's triple threat main event.

President Rowe and Professor Plague welcome us to the first NEW pay-per-view of 2007. They are extremely excited about tonight's show, especially the main event and the Boston Harbor title matches.

Best of Seven Series, match three:
Steel Cage match:
Frankie Kazarian (2,0) vs. Matt Sydal (0,2)

This is actually the first cage match in NEW history. Neat, eh? Anyways, this match was made into a steel cage match so that Carlito and Chris Hero could not interfere. The winner of this series gets a job with NEW. Kazarian and Sydal put on a good match, though not up to the usual main event level that cage matches are used for. They bloody each other by flapjacking and throwing each other into the cage. Sydal bleeds quite heavily after Sydal continually grates his face against the unforgiving steel. The match picks up as Sydal gets the chance to escape, but is so disgusted with Kazarian that he hits a corkscrew plancha off the cage, connecting perfectly on Kazarian. This allows the door to be opened, and Sydal gets the win!
Winner: Matt Sydal @ 11:17 (77/72/83)

After the match, Kazarian's buddy, Chris Hero, runs in for a revenge attack on Sydal, which brings out Carlito, and that leads us to...

Chris Hero vs. Carlito
Chris Hero was fired from NEW after the PTL stable lost an elimination match at Methodical Madness. Hero came back anyways, angry that the PTL leader, Carlito, was able to keep his job since he didn't participate in the match. The winner of this match gets Carlito's contract. The match turns out to be excellent, as these two mesh really well together, even though the crowd was not feeling it. Carlito was able to hit several off the ropes moves without botching any. Hero kept up well too, but he fell victim to an inverted neckbreaker and Carlito was able to pick up the victory and keep his job!
Winner: Carlito @ 9:01 (81/68/94)

30 Minute Iron Man match:
Ric Flair vs. Mick Foley

What moron booked these two in an Iron Man match? Anyways, if Foley wins this, Flair must agree to facing him in a Hell in a Cell match. The match itself is not very good, to say the least, but the crowd is extremely into it. Foley gets the first win of the match because Flair's buddies, Sonny Siaki and Tommy Dreamer, run in and attack him, giving Foley a dq victory at 10:25. Siaki and Dreamer are thrown out of the arena, but Dreamer managed to get in some kendo stick shots. Hurt from the attack, Flair targets the legs of Foley, and traps him in the figure four. Foley refuses to tap out, but accidently leaves his shoulders on the mat long enough for Flair to get a pinfall victory at 15:45. They continue to slug it out for a while, and end up brawling at ringside. They manage to slam each other into the steel steps multiple times, busting Flair open in the process. The match continues on as a brawl until finally, Foley gets Mr. Socko and the mandible claw on Flair, and gains a submission victory at 29:45. With 15 seconds left, the time expires, and Foley is declared the winner!
Winner: Mick Foley @ 30:00 (82/90/66)

Samoa Joe vs. Orlando Jordan
The first Cabinet vs. CSW match of the night! And it is a real doozy. Joe aggressively attacks Jordan, slamming him hard to the mat. Joe then launches Jordan into the corner and does his running kick spot. Jordan slumps through the ropes, onto the floor. Joe sets up Jordan in a chair in the corner and debuts his "ole, ole" kick spot. The crowd is loving this. Jordan is dead, and Joe drags him back into the ring, hits the Muscle buster, and picks up the win.
Winner: Samoa Joe @ 1:59 81/81/82

After the match, Austin Aries and Roderick Strong run in, and take turns beating on Jordan, as Joe takes a microphone. Joe demands that Alex Shelley, the turncoat who betrayed them to join the Cabinet, come out here and get his ass kicked. Instead, the Basham Brothers come out and the NEW Tag Team Championship match begins!

NEW Tag Team Championship:
The Basham Brothers © vs. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong

This is a solid tag team contest, as the Bashams try to keep a slow pace, but are thrown off by the knife edge chops from Strong. Aries and Strong continually stiff the Bashams throughout the match, as they are quite pissed that Alex Shelley isn't out here. The Bashams pull the old switcheroo, and surprise Aries at one point, leading to an extended heat segment. The Bashams use every rest hold in the book to keep Aries from making a tag. Eventually, Strong gets the hot tag and cleans house with a series of awesome modified back breakers. In the mix, the ref takes a bump. This allows Alex Shelley to run in through the crowd and hit Strong with a chair. Joe chases Shelley out of the arena, but the damage is done. The referee wakes up in time to give the pinfall victory to Doug Basham over Strong.
Winners and still NEW Tag Team Champions: The Basham Brothers @ 10:45 (82/78/86)

Boston Harbor Championship:
James Gibson © vs. Chris Jericho vs. Petey Williams

Wait, two triple threat matches in one show? This really was a throwaway event, wasn't it? The match turns out to be pretty good, though not as awesome as the bookers expected it to be. All three men are equally pissed off with one another, so there are no alliances in the early going, just a straight out three way fight. Williams is a heel, but gets a face reaction every time he goes for the Canadian Destroyer, though his first few attempts to hit the move on both Jericho and Gibson fail. Jericho becomes dominant for quite a while, focusing on the ribs of Gibson (which he injured at Starrcade) and throwing Williams over the ropes on numerous occasions. Williams finally gets the big pop of the night by hitting the Destroyer on Jericho, but then Gibson slips back to his feet, suplexes Williams, and traps in the trailer hitch. Williams taps out, allowing Gibson to retain the title!
Winner and still Boston Harbor Champion: James Gibson @ 15:12 (87/88/88)

Rob Van Dam vs. Edge

The tension between these two had been building for months. They were both henchmen for Eric Bischoff, but RVD grew tired of working for "the man." Edge continues to be loyal to Bischoff because Edge wants title opportunities. Anyhow, this is the usual wonderful match between these two, as they fight all over the ring, ringside area, and even in the crowd briefly. RVD hits a cool leg drop off of the barricade at ringside. Edge gets a bit nasty, and lifts up some padding at ringside, exposing the concrete floor. Edge manages to hit a vertical suplex on RVD right onto the concrete. This nearly gains Edge a countout victory, but RVD makes it into the ring. They continue to fight for a bit, until Bischoff's body guard, Hardcore Holly runs in and leaps up on the apron. The referee is distracted trying to get rid of Holly, and then Edge's brother and Mid-Atlantic star, Christian Cage, runs in and hits the unprettier on RVD! This is a swerve, since Edge and Christian were enemies in NEW and it was Edge who defeated Christian in a "loser leaves NEW" match all the way back at the Great American Bash! Anyhow, Edge gets the victory as Holly backs off, freeing up the referee.
Winner: Edge @ 13:46 (90/89/91)

NEW World Championship:
John Bradshaw Layfield © vs. Steve Corino vs. The Rock

Both Rock and Corino have bones to pick with JBL. JBL and the Cabinet destroyed Rock's leg back in November, putting him on the shelf briefly. And just a few days ago at Starrcade, JBL defeated Corino to take the CSW Championship and unify it with the NEW title. Corino is disgusted with himself for letting the fate of the CSW belt go to JBL. The crowd is unbelievably hot for this match, as this turns out to be a straight up brawl. Rock and Corino team up in the early goings to double team JBL and hit a series of double suplexes, double DDT's, and even a doomsday device. The problem rises when neither man will let the other cover him, and Corino and Rock begin to exchange punches. JBL hides from the match at ringside for a rediculous ten minute period, meanwhile Corino and Rock put on a good power contest, hitting spine busters, suplexes, etc. Rock positions Corino for the People's Elbow, but Corino leaps up and hits the Old School Expulsion. Corino goes for the cover, but JBL makes his return, hits the Clothesline from Hell, and covers Corino for the victory!
Winner and still NEW Champion: JBL @ 17:56 93/98/82

JBL celebrates his title defense on the stage, surrounded by the Bashams, Orlando Jordan, and Alex Shelley. Corino and Rock stay in the ring, frustrated with how the match went down.

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
January 15th 2007

The fallout from No Leaf Clover and the road to Subzero starts now! Tonight's main event is NEW Champion JBL against Samoa Joe. JBL has been forced to put the title on the line, just days after No Leaf Clover!

Eric Bischoff opens the show by making his way to the ring, along with his bodyguard, Hardcore Holly. Bischoff announces that at Subzero, there will be a Royal Rumble match to determine who will face the NEW Champion at Wrestlemania 23!

Best of Seven series, match four:
Frankie Kazarian (2) vs. Matt Sydal (1)

These two just duked it out in a cage at No Leaf Clover, so they sell their injuries from the match. They hit each other hard enough to reopen the wounds suffered in the cage, making this match a bit more memorable then the other Blizzard encounters. With Chris Hero finally gone from NEW and not present to interfere, Sydal is able to pick up the victory after a corkscrew plancha, finally tying the series.
Winner: Matt Sydal @ 6:44 (78/69/87)

Mick Foley comes out to the ring for an interview, but on his way to the ring he is jumped by Ric Flair, and his new associates, Sonny Siaki and Tommy Dreamer. The crowd chants "Rhino" as the trio destroys Foley. They drag Foley into the ring, where Siaki puts him down with the Siakalypse. They then set up a table, and allow Tommy Dreamer to put him through it with the Dreamer Driver. With Foley unconcious, Flair puts him in the Figure Four, and Siaki grabs Foley's limp arm and forces him to tap. (100%)

Sonjay Dutt vs. Ace Steel
Steel is still proud of himself for blinding Chris Sabin several weeks ago. Steel dominates the match, with Dutt getting some token offense in here and there. Steel gets a little overconfident, and decides he is going to blind Dutt the same way he did Sabin. The referee recognizes this and tries to pull him away from Dutt, but Steel just shoves him down. This is when Xavier runs in and hits the X-Breaker on Steel! The ref acknowledges the interference, but doesn't care. Dutt covers Steel and the ref happily counts to three, giving Dutt the upset victory!
Winner: Sonjay Dutt @ 5:34 (77/69/85)

Backstage, the Dudley Boyz are pumped up for their return match against the Basham Brothers for the NEW Tag Team Championship. They are more than a little ticked off that they had to wait so long for their rematch. (73%)

NEW Tag Team Championship:
The Basham Brothers © (with Orlando Jordan) vs. The Dudley Boyz

This is a solid outing from both teams, though the match is a bit by the numbers. The Dudleyz hit all of their key spots, including WAZZUP and the Bubba Bomb. Unfortunately Orlando Jordan distracts the referee so that Alex Shelley can run in and interfere. The Bashams also pull a switcheroo and retain the titles. The switcheroo was not planned at first, but Danny suffered a legitimate injury. Afterwards, the three healthy Cabinet members begin to put a beat down on the Dudleyz, until Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, Samoa Joe, and Steve Corino make the save.
Winners and still the Tag Team Champions: The Basham Brothers @ 8:17 (83/85/80)

Backstage, Alex Shelley is laughing at all the pain he has caused his former CSW buddies. Shelley says that he knows that all four of them want a piece of him, but there just isn't enough Shelley to go around. Shelley says he is willing to face one member of the CSW group at Subzero, but they have to decide amongst themselves on who gets a shot at him. (86%)

Chris Jericho vs. D'Lo Brown
Jericho is pissed off that he didn't win the Boston Harbor title at No Leaf Clover, and it shows as he destroys Brown in a short match. Afterwards Jericho cuts a promo claiming that he is sick of Gibson and his BS and that he will get revenge by winning the Royal Rumble. Gibson comes out and responds by saying he is also in the Rumble, and intends on winning it.
Winner: Chris Jericho @ 4:00 (87/89/83)

Eric Bischoff announces that The Rock and Booker T have both been entered into the Royal Rumble. He says that even though they are friends, it is going to be every man for himself. To set the tone, he makes a match between the two of them for Blizzard next week. (92%)

Edge comes out to the ring and cuts an over the top cocky promo. He explains why his brother, Christian, helped him win over Rob Van Dam at No Leaf Clover. When Christian was still in NEW, they were enemies, but they have now settled their differences. Christian is quite happy in the Mid-Atlantic and is thankful to Edge for freeing him from the "shackles of NEW." Edge says that he wouldn't be happy in M-A, so he will remain an NEW star, but the "Edge and Christian Dynasty" lives on! (90%)

NEW World Championship:
John Bradshaw Layfield © vs. Samoa Joe

All members of The Cabinet and CSW have been banned from ringside. This match turns out to be hard hitting and improves on the matches these two had last year. Joe breaks out his "ole, ole" kicks again to huge pops. This turns into a legit main event level attraction brawl as they destory each other with stiff shots and kicks. JBL hits the Clothesline from Hell, but Joe somehow kicks out of the cover attempt. Things get desperate and the referee is accidently knocked out. JBL gets a chair and tries to hit Joe with it. Joe counters and ends up hitting the Muscle Buster. Joe makes the cover, but the referee wakes up and sees the chair. The referee disqualifies Joe! The crowd breaks into a "Bullshit" chant.
Winner by DQ: JBL @ 17:34 (88/92/81)

President Rowe finishes the show by announcing Joe vs. JBL in a return match for the title at Subzero, this time in a street fight!

NWA: New England Wrestling
Monday Night Blizzard
January 22nd 2007

The Cabinet come out to the ring. JBL announces that Danny Basham was injured last week on Blizzard. In this case, Alex Shelley will take his place as one half of the NEW Tag Team Champions along with Doug Basham. The CSW guys come out on the stage and want to fight again. Steve Corino announces that he will be the one to face Shelley at Subzero, but Aries and Strong are getting a shot at the tag titles... tonight! (73%)

Best of Seven series, match five:
Matt Sydal (2) vs. Frankie Kazarian (2)

This is the usual good match these two have been having. Sadly, the crowd hasn't warmed up to either man as much as hoped by having this series. Kazarian really picked up his game this time, as for the first time since the series began, Kazarian earned a clean victory after a tornado DDT and the Wave of the Future.
Winner: Frankie Kazarian @ 6:17 (78/69/87)

Backstage, Ric Flair, Sonny Siaki, and Tommy Dreamer are laughing about what they did to Mick Foley last week. Flair feels relieved, seeing this as a means of escaping his promised Hell in a Cell match against Foley. Now that Foley is gone, they plan on finishing off his tag team partner, Rhino! (95%)

Rhino vs. Tommy Dreamer (with Ric Flair and Sonny Siaki)
This was a decent brawl, hurt a bit by some outside interference by Flair and Siaki. The referee ended up kicking both of them out of the arena. After they were gone, Rhino and Dreamer had a good brawl around the ring, but ultimately Rhino reversed the Dreamer Driver and hit the GORE to earn a convincing victory!
Winner: Rhino @ 9:03 (84/87/78)

Backstage, Booker T talks about his match against The Rock tonight. Booker says that he respects The Rock and that he considers him to be a friend, even though they've had their differences in the past. Booker says that tonight he will show that he will do what he has to do to advance up the ranks in NEW, as Booker will not show Rock any mercy if they cross paths in the Royal Rumble match at Subzero. (97%)

The Rock vs. Booker T
This match wasn't wonderful by any means, but the crowd was hot for it. Booker and Rock had some fun mimmicking eachother's mannerisms without each other taking it personally. Things heated up for a bit, as both men kept narrowly avoiding one another's finishers, but sadly the match ended up a draw when Edge ran in and speared both Rock and Booker. Edge announced himself as being entered into the Rumble match and wanted to get an advantage.
No contest @ 7:16 (84/89/75)

Backstage, Eric Bischoff approaches Samoa Joe, trying to suck up to him as he will be facing JBL for the NEW title at Subzero. Joe gets right into Bischoff's face and says he doesn't want any part of any backstage politics that Bischoff might be scheming. Bischoff takes this personally, and tells Joe to watch his back, as he supports JBL and the Cabinet. (89%)

James Gibson vs. Brian Kendrick
Gibson's Boston Harbor Championship is not on the line in this match, and that turns out to be a good things, as Kendrick actually dominates for a bit. Gibson is still sporting injured ribs, and barely made it out of No Leaf Clover with his title intact. Gibson mounted a big time comeback and was on his way to defeating Kendrick, when Chris Jericho run in and tripped him without the referee seeing. This distracted Gibson, who was then rolled up by Kendrick for the upset victory!
Winner: Brian Kendrick @ 7:01 (86/87/86)

NEW Tag Team Championship:
Doug Basham and Alex Shelley © vs. Austin Aries and Roderick Strong

Aries and Strong are finally able to gain some measure of revenge on Shelley. Strong unleashes his brutal knife edge chops on Shelley, and Aries follows them up his vicious kicks. Shelley desperately tags in Basham, but Aries and Strong are no less sympathetic to their other enemy. Luckily, Shelley gets a low blow in on Strong, which turns the tide for a bit. Basham and Shelley make frequent tags, establishing Strong as the face in peril. Of course, Strong eventually makes the tag, and Aries cleans house, finishing things up with the 450 splash on Basham for the win!
Winners and NEW Tag Team Champions: Austin Aries and Roderick Strong @ 14:34 (82/78/87)

Announced for next week:
Contract signing between JBL and Samoa Joe!
James Gibson defends the Boston Harbor title against Brian Kendrick!
Aries and Strong defend their newly won tag titles against Shelley and Basham... in a ladder match!
