NEW.com is reporting that Team NEW, consisting of Brian Kendrick, Jerrelle Clark, and Sonjay Dutt, who have been performing in NWA:Mexico, will be competing at River Rumble, in a six-man tag match against Andrew Martin, Snitsky, and Gregory Helms. This should be an exciting match up and an excellent addition to the already stacked River Rumble card.

Well, I'm far too tired to write a full show tonight and I don't think I'll be online again until Monday, so I'm going to just do the quick results tonight. I have an early Best Buy meeting tomorrow too, so I'm kind of stressing it. Hope no one minds

NEW Saturday Night
July 1st 2006

The show opened with a pretaped Chris Jericho segment, where he boasted that winning the NEW Championship last Sunday has made it impossible for him to be ever trapped under a glass ceiling again. Sonny Siaki interrupted, wanting to brag about "driving the Undertaker away from NEW" and Jericho got pissed off and told him to not act too big for his britches.

America's Most Wanted beat Tajiri and D'Lo Brown to retain the NEW Tag Team Championship at 6:45 when AMW hit the Death Sentence on Tajiri. Brown was unable to make the save because earlier James Storm had handcuffed him to the ropes. After the match, Team 3D tried to attack AMW, but AMW ran away too quickly. Team 3D then challenged AMW to a match for the titles at 32 Flavors of Pain, which AMW then accepted. (82/73/91)

JBL came out to the ring with a microphone. JBL boasts that he is going to beat the hell out of Samoa Joe at the Great American Bash. JBL says he will show his superiority over NWA:CSW not only by beating Joe, but by beating Johnny Devine, who just signed a contract after leaving CSW.

JBL beat Johnny Devine with the clothesline from Hell at 4:03. Devine made a good attempt at a comeback, but JBL overpowered him. After the match, JBL celebrated the victory as if he had just won the World title. (73/74/71)

Backstage, Iron Troy Cumings interviewed Edge. Edge said that even though he lost to Christian Cage at River Rumble, Edge feels more motivated than ever to hurt his brother. Edge is happy that his match against Christian at the Great American Bash is "Loser leaves NEW" because this is his final chance to be rid of Christian once and for all.

Ron Killings beat Rene Dupree with a roll-up at 5:11. This was Killing's debut match up, and it was a clean little match. Killings was decently over with the crowd, even managing to get a "what's up" chant. (79/74/84)

In an in-ring segment, Spartacus makes his debut. He has a shaved head, an earring, and a toga. Spartacus looks PISSED. He takes a microphone and claims that the Wrestlecrap match at River Rumble was the most embarassing moment of his career and he wants to make Mick Foley pay. He challenges Foley to a submission match at 32 Flavors of Pain, since he knows that Foley is a "glorified stuntman" and does not know any actual wrestling moves. Foley comes out, wearing Mr. Socko, and promises that the mandible claw will beat out the figure four. Foley then goes for the obvious cheap joke by saying "I'm Spartacus, no I'm spartacus, silence you fool, I AM SPARTACUS!"

Chris Jericho and Sonny Siaki come out to the ring and Jericho takes a microphone and claims that The Rock has no friends and has found no tag partner. The Rock comes out and says otherwise. Tonight he will face Siaki and Jericho, with his partner.... the BIG SHOW!

Chris Jericho and Sonny Siaki beat The Rock and Big Show by disqualification at 9:10. Chris Jericho took a chair and tried to bust Big Show open with it, but Big Show ripped the chair out of Jericho's hands and cracked him over the head with it. The referee saw it and ended the match. Rock and Big Show were able to unload Siaki and Jericho from the ring. This brought out GM Eric Bischoff, who then announced that at 32 Flavors of Pain, Chris Jericho would be making his first title defense against.... Big Show! Jericho throws a temper tantrum to end the show. (86/88/84)

So with Mick Foley's claim tonight that he was gonna tank his 2 out of 3 falls match with Flair, and "stink up the joint", I can't help but think the WWE is reading Rowe's diary, or Rowe can see into the future.

They jacked pretty much your whole concept.

NEW Saturday Night
July 8th 2006

The show opens with picture highlights from the Great American Bash. This includes the Edge/Christian “loser leaves NEW match” with Edge picking up the victory, JBL’s defeat at the hands of CSW’s Samoa Joe, and The Rock overcoming Abyss and Jeff Jarrett to become the NWA World Champion! Ernie Rowe and Professor Plague are on commentary and welcome us to another thrilling edition of NEW Saturday Night!

In-ring segment: The NWA Champion!

Eric Bischoff is standing in the ring and he is holding the NWA Championship.

Bischoff: Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great, great honor to introduce you all to the brand new NWA World Heavyweight Champion…THE ROCK!

The Rock comes out to a thunderous ovation. He makes his way to the ring, and Bischoff places the belt on his shoulders. Rock then climbs each turnbuckle to greet the fans and show off his championship. The Rock takes a microphone.

Rock: Finally… THE ROCK has come back to… Bangor. And The Rock has once again climbed to the top of our business, as The Rock stands before you as the ten time World Champion (7 WWE titles, 2 WCW titles, 1 NWA title, for those of you keeping track). The Rock was proud to represent New England Wrestling at the Great American Bash and even prouder to become the champion. The Rock also has some good news. Even though The Rock now represents the entire National Wrestling Alliance, The Rock will be staying in NEW until September! The Rock… (Jericho’s music cuts him off).

Chris Jericho comes out onto the stage, with the NEW Championship around his waist. Jericho looks furious and he has a microphone.

Jericho: No, no, no, NO! This was not supposed to happen! I was supposed to beat your sorry ass at River Rumble, which I did, and then be the undisputed top dog here in NEW. There was going to be no overshadowing me this time around, but you had to go on and win the NWA title. You should not even have been in that match. Bischoff, what kind of backwards logic says that the LOSER of a match gets to represent NEW? I beat The Rock cleanly, I MADE HIM TAP OUT! HE SHOULD NOT BE THE NWA WORLD CHAMPION!

Rock: Chris Jericho, you can stand there and bitch and moan and whine until you further convince these fans that you are undoubtedly the biggest jackass on the planet, or… you can just bring it.

Jericho: Oh, I’ll bring it. I want a shot at your NWA Championship and I want it tonight!

Bischoff: No, Jericho, that will not be happening. You have a championship and you have a big title defense to prepare for at 32 Flavors of Pain. You need to concentrate on your opponent, the Big Show.

Jericho: Oh, like I should be scared of Big Show. Seriously, he’s the most useless 500 lb man I have ever met. If he spent as much time in the gym as he does at the buffet, maybe his two world title reigns wouldn’t have been shorter than my single reign back in the WWF days. Or maybe he wouldn’t have gone from headlining WrestleMania 16 to hanging out at that crappy WWF New York restaurant at WrestleMania 18. Oh wait, because Big Show is big, and fat, and a complete joke. You have to do better than that, Bischoff.

Bischoff: Okay, Jericho. If you want the Rock and if you think Big Show is no threat, then I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. After all, only two people in NEW call the shots around here. One of them is Ernie Rowe… and the other one is not Chris Jericho. That would be me, and to tell you the truth I was extremely upset last week when my big main event ended with a disqualification! That’s not going to happen again this week, my friend. Tonight, it will be Chris Jericho and Sonny Siaki once again wrestling The Rock and Big Show… in a no disqualifications match!

Rock: You heard the man, Jericho. If I were you, I’d go find Sonny Boy and make sure he’s ready. If you SMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELL…. WHAT THE ROCK…IS…COOKING!

(81)

Match One: Team 3D vs The Basham Brothers

Both teams bring their working boots and they put on a pretty competitive little match up. Both teams make some quick tags throughout the match, keeping the action fresh and lively. Finally, Team 3D appears to be on the verge of victory, when America’s Most Wanted’s music hits the speakers and the lights go dim. The distraction allows the legal man, Doug Basham, to roll out of the ring, and Danny to take his place without anyone noticing. Danny rolls up Brother Ray and pins him at 6:00.

Winners: The Basham Brothers, ***3/4 (84/78/90)

After the match, Team 3D charge out back in search of AMW.

In-ring segment: JBL is displeased.

John Bradshaw Layfield makes his way to the ring. He does not look happy either, due to his painful loss at the Great American Bash. He takes a microphone.

JBL: I don’t know what is wrong with this organization. The NWA has been branched up into separate territories, and if you ask me, superstars should not be crossing over from one to the other (Rowe protests, saying that JBL egged Joe on in the first place). This hasn’t been a big problem with most of the territories, but there has been one that seems to have a difficult time knowing their place: Central States Wrestling. First Chris Sabin just waltzes on in here, then Samoa Joe has the nerve to show his face at River Rumble, and then Johnny Devine makes himself at home in MY ring! This is an outrage! To make matters worse, at the Great American Bash, I have to sit back and watch John Cena and Samoa Joe act like old buddies! What is the matter with them? Joe is CSW! Cena is Mid-Atlantic! It makes me sick when any self respecting wrestler will disrespect their home territory like that! I mean, CSW sucks and all, but Joe should be making the best of it, ditto to the Mid-Atlantic. Now I know Cena is a New England boy at heart, but I have a warning for you Cena. I made an example of Joe at River Rumble (Rowe tries to remind the fans that Joe beat JBL at the Bash), I made an example of Chris Sabin, and I made an example of Johnny Devine. Cena, if you show your face here in NEW, I will kick you in the face so hard you’ll be crapping out your teeth. Got that, junior? Good. Now tonight, I get to make an example of Sabin and Devine again, I wanted it to be a handicap match, but Eric Bischoff told me that I needed to have a partner. So I went out and found a good old boy, one who I am proud to call my protégé. I want you all to give a show of respect to my tag team partner, and friend: Trevor Murdoch!

Murdoch comes out to a wave of lukewarm heel heat. He and JBL share a good heterosexual hug and await the arrival of their opponents.

(77)

Match Two: JBL and Trevor Murdoch vs Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine

JBL and Devine start the match off, with JBL overpowering the smaller star. JBL tags in Murdoch, who continues to work away on Devine. Murdoch goes through a series of rest holds that somehow don’t thrill the crowd. Devine finally makes the tag to Sabin, who drop kicks JBL off of the turnbuckle and hits an impressive cradle suplex on Murdoch for the victory at 5:15.

Winners: Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine, **1/4 (72/68/77)

After the match, JBL throws a temper tantrum and hits Sabin with the clothesline from Hell. Devine tries to make a save, but he also suffers the clothesline. Murdoch and JBL are beating down the two helpless stars when none other than JOHN CENA runs in through the audience. JBL flees the ring at the sight of Cena, but leaves Murdoch behind, who suffers an F-U. Cena challenges JBL to get back into the ring, but JBL just runs for it.

Backstage interview: Big Show

Iron Troy Cumings is standing by with the number one contender for the NEW Championship, the Big Show. Iron Troy asks Big Show for his feelings on the upcoming title match, as well as his thoughts on Jericho’s rant from earlier tonight.

Big Show: You know something, Iron Troy, Chris Jericho was completely correct. For a seven foot tall, 500 pound man, I haven’t quite lived up to the expectations that were placed above me. I’ll admit it, I broke into the business at a company where hard work was not rewarded and I was given a lot of things without having to pay my dues for them. But you know something, times have changed, and now I have paid my dues. I have worked the territories, I have stepped up my training, and I am more focused now than I have ever been in my career. Only now, I have everything in the world to prove. I need to prove to the world, and to myself, that I am the biggest, nastiest, bastard walking the face of the Earth. When I step into the ring with Jericho’s NEW Championship on the line, I am going to vent years worth of frustration, frustration at not having been a dominant world champion before now. I am going to pour all my rage, anger, and frustration into that one single match. I am going to tear Jericho apart and make him suffer. He will have no idea what hit him and when he wakes up hours later in the hospital, he will have to recover knowing that the NEW Championship is over my shoulder, and there is no man evil or monstrous enough to take it away from me.

(84)

Rowe: Strong words from the Big Show. You know, something about the look in his eyes tells me that Show means every word he says. I think Chris Jericho is going to be in big, big trouble at 32 Flavors of Pain.

Plague: For his sake, Big Show had better be ready to back up his words. At this point, I don’t think Big Show can afford to not win the NEW Championship!

Rowe: And coming up next, Spartacus has demanded to wrestle in a submission match tonight, to send a message out to Mick Foley.

Plague: That’s right, Ric… I mean, Spartacus, will be facing Foley in a submission match at 32 Flavors of Pain, and Ric…Spartacus is going to show Foley how it’s done. I can only imagine Foley cowering in a corner somewhere now that he actually has to wrestle Fla…Spartacus, and not just throw him into a pile of dog crap.

Match Three: Spartacus vs James Gibson (submission match)

James Gibson is making his New England Wrestling debut and receives a pretty polite pop from the audience. Spartacus continues to look ridiculous with his shaved head, earring, and toga. Spartacus hits some chops on Gibson, though he is really interested in working on Gibson’s legs to prepare for the figure four. Gibson is no easy opponent and answers Spartacus’s chops with some stiff strikes of his own. Gibson tries to go for the Trailer Hitch, but Spartacus counters and attempts the Figure Four. Gibson escapes and goes to clothesline Spartacus over the ropes. Spartacus gets tangled up in the ropes, with his toga going over his head. The referee attempts to rescue Spartacus from the mess, distracting him from a run in from Tommy Dreamer. Dreamer takes a kendo stick and cracks it across the back of Gibson’s knees. Dreamer flees the scene of the crime as Spartacus is freed. Spartacus puts the Figure Four on Gibson, who quickly taps out at 5:48.

Winner: Spartacus, **3/4 (78/78/79)

After the match, Mick Foley comes out to check on Gibson and vows to make Spartacus choke on Mr. Socko at 32 Flavors of Pain.

Rowe: Once again, this strange friendship between Spartacus and Tommy Dreamer has paid off in Spartacus's favor.

Plague: Spartacus was dominant tonight! Foley does not stand a chance at 32 Flavors of Pain!

Backstage Segment: Jericho checks on his partner.

Sonny Siaki is getting warmed up for his big match in his dressing room. Jericho storms into it.

Jericho: Okay, man, I don’t like it but you and I are teaming up… again! You know, I’m the NEW Champion now, so I really can’t afford to have you constantly around, making me look bad.

Siaki: What the hell are you talking about? When have I ever made you look bad? You know, I’m making a name for myself right now. I drove The Undertaker away from NEW. I’m getting noticed and I’m making myself heard. In a way, I’m kind of like how you were back in the old... (Jericho pushes Siaki against the wall).

Jericho: Listen here, bitch boy. I am NOTHING like you. I am a champion and the star of this show. You and I have nothing in common, you are here because I allow you to be here. Now let’s just go have our match, and you better pray that you don’t get in my way. Is that perfectly clear, junior!?

Siaki: Whatever, man, it’s cool!

Jericho: Good… see you in the ring.

(84)

Match Four: The Rock and Big Show vs Chris Jericho and Sonny Siaki (No Disqualifications)

Rock and Big Show have a disagreement at first over who starts off, since they both want to get their hands on Jericho. Jericho makes the decision easier for them by forcing Siaki to start off as the legal man. Big Show pounds away at Siaki for several minutes, tossing him all over the ring. Siaki finally gets a drop kick on Big Show’s knee and Show goes down to one leg. Siaki hits a flying spin kick into the face of Big Show. Jericho wants a tag, but Siaki claims he’s in control. Siaki goes for a flying crossbody, but Big Show catches him by the throat and chokeslams him straight to hell! Show goes for a cover, but Jericho reluctantly breaks it up. Siaki tags Jericho in, and Big Show pummels the life out of Jericho. The Rock suddenly makes a blind tag and he fires away at Jericho too. They spill over the ropes and brawl at ringside. Siaki is then able to take a steel chair and sneaks up on Big Show and cracks it across his back. This only angers Big Show and he starts beating Siaki all the way up the entrance ramp. The referee can’t do anything about it! Meanwhile, Rock and Jericho are back in the ring and Rock hits the People’s Elbow on Jericho. He goes for the cover and it’s 1……2……..no! Rock then hits the Rock Bottom, but before he can capitalize, EDGE storms the ring and spears him! Edge looks deranged and grabs the NWA Championship belt. Edge returns to the ring and cracks Rock over the head with his new title! The referee cannot do anything about it and is forced to count to three when Jericho makes the cover, giving Jericho the victory at 10:04!

Winners: Chris Jericho and Sonny Siaki, ***1/2 (87/89/88)

After the match, Big Show tries to make the save but gets cracked in the head with the title belt as well. Siaki returns and a three on two beat down follows… until a familiar face runs in through the crowd. It’s none other than RHINO! Rhino gores the hell out of Siaki, clotheslines Edge over the ropes, and by this point Jericho has run for his life. Rhino has made the save, and helps Rock and Big Show to their feet. This chaos brings out Eric Bischoff, with a microphone.

Bischoff: I wasn’t expecting Rhino to show up for another week or two, but I’m damn glad he’s here. This gives me a great idea for next week’s main event! It will be a six man tag team match, with The Rock, Big Show, and Rhino facing Chris Jericho, Sonny Siaki, and Edge!

Plague: That’s going to be a hell of a match!

Rowe: I don’t understand why Edge got involved in this match!

Plague: It’s simple, Rowe, The Rock has the NWA Championship, and Edge wants it!

Rowe: It’s not that simple, if Edge thinks he can get a title shot just by attacking the champion, then he’s going to be in a world of shock. If he wants a title shot, he’s going to have to earn it!

Plague: What I’m wondering is why the hell did Rhino get involved in all of this!

Rowe: He has some long standing hatred of Edge and Jericho, that and he likely wanted to make a big impact with his debut.

Plague: Mission accomplished.

Rowe: What a night this has been!

That show was pretty much perfect. I don't even know how to give any kind of criticism. From start to finish, it was great, and it flowed.

You made Big Show into a credible contender, and even gave him momentum for a possible win.

Great heat between Jericho & Rock, and their deuling champs bit. Just awesome.

JBL staying on the attack, now just attacking anything that ISNT NEW is just great. Love him getting pinned, and then Cena whooping his ass.

You played perfectly on everything that happened at the Bash, branching into your own thing, and you also introduced a ton of new talent. I love where your territory is heading. I think we picked the right place to put the first champ.

Thanks for the good feedback, as always, Jamie. I was hoping the show would turn out good, though while I was writing it I couldn't tell if it was good or awful, if that makes any sense.

NEW Saturday Night Preview
July 17th 2006

The road to 32 Flavors of Pain continues this week, as Eric Bischoff will announce who will face The Rock for the NWA World Championship at the mega event! Who will it be?

A huge main event was announced last week on Saturday Night, when Edge and Rhino got involved in the Jericho and Siaki vs. Rock and Big Show rematch. As a result, there will be a huge six man tag as The Rock, Big Show, and Rhino will battle Chris Jericho, Sonny Siaki, and Edge! This will surely be the brawl of the century!

Last week Spartacus defeated James Gibson in a submission match, thanks to his strange friendship with Tommy Dreamer. This week, James Gibson will go one on one with Dreamer! However, Mick Foley will be in Gibson's corner and Spartacus will be in Dreamer's! All hell is sure to break loose!

Last week John Cena made a surprise appearance and took a fight to John Bradshaw Layfield! It has been confirmed that Cena will be in the house this Saturday, what will he have to say?

Also tune in for appearances by Ron "The Truth" Killings, Chris Sabin, Rene Dupree, Team 3D, and America's Most Wanted!

NEW Saturday Night
July 15th 2006

Hurray, it’s another exciting episode of NEW Saturday Night! We have yet another brand new opening video, this time with updated clips of recent NEW action set to the song “Attack” by 30 Seconds to Mars. Ernie Rowe and Professor Plague are on commentary tonight, as NEW Saturday Night hails from the UNH Field House in Durham, New Hampshire.

Match One: James Gibson (with Mick Foley) vs Tommy Dreamer (with Spartacus)

Styles clash as the master technician, Gibson, battles the hardcore innovator, Dreamer. Gibson uses his speed to keep himself a few steps ahead of Dreamer, but Spartacus trips Gibson at one point, allowing Dreamer to take the offense. Gibson escapes from the Dreamer Driver and hits a swinging DDT! Gibson goes for the cover, but Spartacus distracts the referee. Foley finally has enough and tackles Spartacus and they brawl through the crowd. Meanwhile, Gibson traps Dreamer in a Modified Dragon Sleeper and forces Dreamer to tap out at 5:01!

Winner: James Gibson, **1/4 (66/70/78)

Rowe: James Gibson picks up his first victory in NEW!

Plague: What a load of crap, Dreamer had that match won!

Rowe: I don’t know what match you were watching, but Foley just saved Gibson from being cheated out by Spartacus and his crony, Tommy Dreamer!

Plague: We’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Rowe: Screw that, you’re just ignoring blatant facts. You’re like some sort of delusional internet fan.

In-ring segment: The French Phenom

Rene Dupree comes out to the ring and grabs a microphone.

Dupree: Bonjour, Americans! I know you New Englanders have been disappointed with the first two months of New England Wrestling, as your hero, the French Phenom, has hardly appeared on your television screens! This is going to change, as I have just signed a brand new NEW contract, which guarantees me more television time, as well as a match of my choosing at 32 Flavors of Pain. I have decided that I will face the “man” and I do use that term loosely, who beat me two weeks ago on Saturday Night. I will go one on one with Ron Killings, a man who likes to refer to himself as “the truth.” This raises an issue with me, what kind of truth does he think he is? To me, he is nothing more than a big lie. Ron Killings, you embarrassed me two weeks ago, but I will not let it happen again. At 32 Flavors of Pain, I will make you rue the day you ever crossed paths with the French Phenom and… (Truth’s theme music cuts off Dupree. Killings appears on the stage, with a mic in hand).

Killings: What’s up, dawg! I hear you out hear out here using so many words to say so little. You think I embarrassed you in the ring two weeks ago? Well, that was just a warm up. The truth is, I’m going to beat you so badly at 32 Flavors of Pain, two weeks ago will seem like a compliment! Now let’s shut up and fight!

Rowe: Who does Rene Dupree think he is! I didn’t renegotiate his contract!

Plague: Bischoff must have.

Rowe: I may have to have some words with our good General Manager….

Plague: Either way, we have a big six man tag match after the break!

(67%)

Match Two: Ron Killings and Team 3-D vs Rene Dupree and America’s Most Wanted

This is the usual crazy brawl that happens when Team 3-D squares off against America’s Most Wanted. The two tag teams consume the majority of the match. A long heat segment takes place where the Tag Team Champions, AMW, isolate Brother Ray and methodically wear him down. This ends when a frustrated Rene Dupree tags himself in and ends up inadvertently letting Brother Ray tag in Killings. Team 3-D and AMW end up brawling away from the ring, leaving Dupree and Killings alone. The referee stupidly tries to get the others back to the ring, leaving Dupree with a chance to wack Killings in the head with the Canadian flag. The referee turns his attention back to the ring in time to see Dupree covering Killings for the win at 9:03!

Winners: Rene Dupree and America’s Most Wanted, **1/2 (68/75/77)

Rowe: Rene Dupree just stole that victory!

Plague: He did and it made me smile!

Rowe: It doesn’t matter, Dupree just buried his own grave. He has to grapple with Truth at 32 Flavors of Pain and you can bet your ass that Truth will want revenge!

In-ring segment: JBL is amused.

John Bradshaw Layfield and his protégé, Trevor Murdoch, make their way to the ring. JBL takes a microphone.

JBL: You know, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Wrestlers need to be proud of their NWA territory and they need to stay in their territory. I was hanging around out back, and I got a fax from a friend of mine informing me that on the Central States Wrestling show, Cyclone, which is a stupid name for a wrestling program if you ask me, Shelton Benjamin announced that he is coming up to New England next week to try and shut me up. I find this to be extremely hilarious. Shelton, my boy, what are you thinking? I mean, it’s a well known fact that NEW wrestlers are superior to CSW wrestlers. And from what I’ve been told, you can’t even seem to beat other CSW wrestlers these days, so what makes you think you even stand a chance against a wrestling…. God! But like I’ve said so many times before, I have made an example of every outsider who tried to mess with NEW, and you will be no different. In fact you… (JBL is cut off by John Cena’s music. Cena appears on the stage with a microphone).

Cena: Yo, yo , yo , YO! JBL, you’re giving me a headache! What do you mean you’ve made an example out of “every outsider” you’ve crossed? Last I checked, you haven’t made an example out of me. I can’t WAIT to see Shelton Benjamin kick you ass next week, but tonight it would be an honor and privilege to kick your ass personally.

JBL: You’d like that, Cena? Well tough luck, pal! I’m not wrestling you tonight! You see, it’s one thing to wrestle a CSW guy, but I’m not going to lower myself to wrestle someone from Mid-Atlantic. Why don’t you go back home and play with Christian Cage and leave us big boys alone.

Cena: In case you’ve forgotten, jackass, New England is my home! And you’ve said some really crappy things about my promotion, the NWA, and New England! I’m not going to rest until you are silenced for good!

JBL: Okay, Cena. Tell you what. You can have a match against my protégé, Trevor Murdoch. If you beat him, and I promise you that you won’t, you and I will have a match at 32 Flavors of Pain. If, and when, Trevor beats your ass, you have to vow you will never show your face in NEW again and annoy me.

Cena: You’ve got yourself a match. I hope fat boy is ready (Murdoch growls in response). I’ll take that as a yes.

(88%)

Match Three: John Cena vs Trevor Murdoch

This match is a complete and utter squash. Murdoch is so furious over the “fat boy” comment that he is reckless and unable to land any offense on the much more focused Cena. JBL tries to get involved at one point, but Cena knocks him off the apron and hits the F-U on Murdoch for the win at 1:05!

Winner: John Cena, ¾* (63/76/61)

Rowe: That's it! It's official, John Cena will go one on one with JBL at 32 Flavors of Pain!

In-ring segment: The Good General Manager

Eric Bischoff makes his way to the ring to a mixed reaction. He takes a microphone.

Bischoff: As General Manager of New England Wrestling, I have made a huge decision for 32 Flavors of Pain. As you all know, The Rock is the new NWA World Heavyweight Champion and he will be making his first title defense right here in NEW! At 32 Flavors of Pain, The Rock will defend his title against… EDGE!

Rowe: WHAT! (Rowe grabs a microphone and enters the ring).

Rowe: Bischoff, what the hell!? Why Edge? I thought I made it clear that he was not to be receiving any title shots unless he earned them!

Bischoff: Well, last I checked, he won a big match at the Great American Bash against Christian Cage. I’d say he did earn it.

Rowe: That’s a load of crap. As far as win/loss records go, Edge should not be the front runner for the NWA Championship! I will not allow you to go ahead and make that match.

Bischoff: Oh really? Well I already did. It’s official and there is nothing you can do about it.

Rowe: You bastard, you may be the General Manager, but I’m the freaking President of NEW! If you don’t start following orders, you may find yourself on the unemployment line!

Bischoff: Now likely, my friend. I looked over the terms of my contract and guess what? I am unsackable! Don’t you remember why you hired me in the first place? You wanted to sit in that commentator’s booth and be able to call the show objectively and not have to worry about being responsible for what was happening in the ring. So you hired me, and added a clause where you couldn’t fire me if you didn’t agree with my methods. Now sit your ass down and enjoy the show.

Rowe: I’m not going to let you do this. I’m going to call my lawyer and ….

Rowe cannot finish his sentence because Edge has stormed the ring and speared the life out of him! Rowe hits the mat hard and Edge poses over the fallen President of NEW. Edge shakes hands with Bischoff and the two of them smile sadistically.

Plague: YES! Yes, yes yes, oh God yes! This is the greatest moment in NEW history!

(88%)

Match Four: D'Lo Brown and Tajiri vs Ace Steel and Xavier

“Iron” Troy Cumings comes out and takes Rowe’s spot at the commentator’s booth for the remainder of the show. The match itself is quite short, but a good introduction for Xavier and Ace Steel. The action goes back and forth, without either team having a clear advantage, until the very end. Tajiri kicks Steel in the head hard, tags in Brown, who goes for the Lo Down and pins Steel at 3:45!

Winners: D’Lo Brown and Tajiri, ***1/2 (67/59/92)

Cumings: What an impressive showing by Brown and Tajiri! The tag team division in NEW is really heating up!

Plague: Dear Lord, why did you have to come out here? I could’ve called the rest of the show myself.

Match Five: The Rock, Big Show, and Rhino vs Chris Jericho, Sonny Siaki, and Edge

The Rock and Edge are more anxious to tie up, now knowing that they will be facing each other at 32 Flavors of Pain. Likewise, Jericho is now more focused on Big Show, who is acting more and more monstrous in the ring. Big Show totally cleans house in the early going, overpowering Edge, Jericho, and Siaki. All three men attack Big Show at once and he tosses them all down to the mat. Finally Jericho rams his shoulder into Big Show’s knee and Edge follows it up with a drop kick to Big Show’s head. Show fights out of it enough to tag in Rhino, who hits a beautiful GORE on Chris Jericho. Jericho tags in Siaki, who gets some nice offense in on Rhino, including a flying spin kick. Rhino tags in The Rock, who does his typical “beat the crap out of Siaki” routine. Edge storms the ring and spears The Rock, who falls into his corner, tagging in Rhino. Edge and Rock brawl at ringside, while Big Show decides he wants to destroy Jericho. Big Show chases Jericho out of the arena, leaving Siaki alone with Rhino. Rhino hits another wonderful GORE on Siaki and pins him at 9:40!

Winners: The Rock, Big Show, and Rhino, ***1/2 (78/89/84)

Cumings: Rhino picks up the victory for his team! You know, Sonny Siaki is on thin ice with Chris Jericho, you can bet that when Jericho finds out what happened he is going to be pissed!

Plague: Now I know it looks like Jericho was scared of Big Show, but it was really part of his master plan.

Cumings: Give me a break, what master plan?

Plague: Jericho is going to lure Big Show to a buffet table and once Show is distracted filling his gut, Jericho is going to take him down!

Cumings: It’s times like this that make me happy the show is over. Folks, don’t forget to tune in to NEW Saturday Night next weekend! President Rowe is surely going to have some sort of retaliation in store for Eric Bischoff! How will Jericho handle the loss this week? Not only that, but CSW’s Shelton Benjamin will guest star to take on JBL! It’s going to be an awesome week of NEW action, don’t miss it!

I would order this show based on it's name alone.

Also, the Tajiri and D'Lo team is hilariously random and awesome.

NEW Saturday Night
July 22nd 2006

-Ernie Rowe is still not on commentary this week, after the attack he suffered at the hands of Edge last week. Iron Troy Cumings and Professor Plague are on commentary.

-The show opened with Chris Jericho cutting an in-ring promo, with Sonny Siaki tagging along. Jericho said he has been training harder than ever before to make sure he is ready to face Big Show at 32 Flavors of Pain. Jericho says that Big Show has a serious reputation for choking in big match situations and that Jericho has proven he is capable of winning them. Siaki asks Jericho if he can be in his corner at 32 Flavors of Pain. Siaki reminds us all that he drove The Undertaker out of NEW. Jericho says it's alright... as long as he can soften up Big Show for him!

-Big Show beat Sonny Siaki by disqualification at 3:45 when Chris Jericho entered the ring and hit Show in the head with the NEW Championship belt. Jericho and Siaki then began a double team, which ended when Show got back to his feet and chased both of them from the ring. Jericho dropped the NEW title in the process, which Show lifted up and posed with it to send a message. (77/89/82)

-Backstage, Rhino cut a promo stating that he has come to NEW to dominate. He laughs at Sonny Siaki's claim that he drove The Undertaker out of NEW and promises to expose Siaki for the fraud that he really is.

-Eric Bischoff announces that the following eight man tag match will determine who goes on to 32 Flavors of Pain to battle for a shot at the NEW Tag Team Championship. Whichever four man team who wins will face each other for a title shot at the big event.

-D'Lo Brown, Tajiri, Brian Kendrick, and Jerrelle Clark beat Chris Sabin, Johnny Devine, Doug Basham, and Andrew Martin at 5:55, in what was a very lively and spot-filled tag match. Kendrick hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Basham for the pinfall victory. The winners were celebrating the victory until Kendrick and Clark both made cheap shots on Tajiri and Brown, turning heel in the process. Clark and Kendrick layed out their upcoming opponents and soaked in the crowd's boos. (62/56/83)

-John Bradshaw Layfield beat Shelton Benjamin at 6:00. Benjamin had hit a T-Bone suplex on JBL and had the match won, except Trevor Murdoch hopped up on the apron and distracted the referee. Benjamin went to knock Murdoch down, but then got caught in the clothesline from hell from JBL, giving JBL a cheap victory. After the match, JBL took a microphone and promised that the same thing would happen to NWA:M-A's John Cena at 32 Flavors of Pain.

-Backstage, Team 3D cut a promo reminding everyone that they have held tag title belts in every federation they ever competed in... except the NWA. They are going to take the NEW Tag Team Championship from America's Most Wanted at 32 Flavors of Pain and make it look easy. AMW then butted in and reminded Team 3D that they never could take the NWA Tag Team Championship titles from them in TNA and history would repeat itself. This sparked a brawl, which a group of referees had to break up.

Tommy Dreamer and Spartacus beat Mick Foley and James Gibson at 4:59. Dreamer used his kendo stick on Foley while the referee was distracted by Spartacus choking Gibson on the ropes. Dreamer ended up pinning Foley in a huge upset. After the match, Spartacus put Foley in the figure four leglock until Foley passed out, giving him a huge rush of momentum heading into their submission match at 32 Flavors of Pain. (74/87/77)

-The Rock came to the ring for an interview. The Rock said he thought it was terrible what Edge did to President Rowe last week. The Rock said that President Rowe is "the best boss The Rock has ever had" and that Edge should "learn his role and shut his mouth." This brought out Edge, with Eric Bischoff, and Edge said that his time has come. He said that Rowe stood in Bischoff's path of making NEW the greatest wrestling promotion since WCW. The Rock says that "WCW sucked" which sparked Bischoff sending Edge to the ring to brawl with The Rock. Rock seemingly had the brawl in his favor until Edge hit a sudden spear and The Rock hit the mat hard. Edge then took the NWA Championship and wrapped it around his waist. Edge then takes the mic and tells the crowd he will pose for those with the "benefit of flash photography." Edge does the cocky pin on The Rock as his pose to close the show.

So all in all it was the hard sell for 32 Flavors of Pain episode. It was a good time, though the crowd was upset at how all the heels got the final say in almost every situation. On the plus side, 32 Flavors of Pain should be an awesome show, with lots of opportunities for the good guys to get pay back!

NEW Saturday Night
July 29th 2006

President Rowe is back on commentary this week, along with Professor Plague. Rowe says that as much as he hates to admit it, Eric Bischoff is right about his contract status and that Rowe has no right to override his decisions. Rowe says he still has quite a bit of pull himself and has fined Edge for spearing him.

Big Show comes out to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Show addresses JBL’s accusation that he is on his way to PTL. Show says that JBL was correct and that he will become an official part of the PTL roster on August 1st. Show says that JBL was wrong that about him intending on bringing the NEW title to PTL, had he won it at 32 Flavors of Pain. Show says he knows he was on his way to beating Jericho and wants a rematch tonight, promising that if he wins the title, he will vacate it before he goes. This brings out Chris Jericho, who accepts Big Show’s challenge for later in the evening. Jericho says that he would have beaten Big Show with our without JBL’s help, and tonight he will prove it. (88%)

Tajiri beat Brian Kendrick following some kicks to the head at 6:16. D’Lo Brown and Jerrelle  Clark were both in their partner’s corners during the match, and Brown had to keep Clark from interfering on numerous occasions. After the match, America’s Most Wanted ran in and beat down Tajiri and Brown, since they are the number one contender’s to their NEW Tag titles. AMW hit the death sentence on D’Lo to some nice heat from the crowd. (75/79/90)

Eric Bischoff comes out to the ring for a promo. He says that for the most part he really enjoyed watching 32 Flavors of Pain, but there was one thing on the show that irritated the hell out of him. During the NEW Tag Team title match, Brother Ray shouted “Devon, get the tables” to his brother, which is a direct copyright violation. Bischoff says that when the NWA bought out WWE, different copyrights and trademarks were distributed and auctioned off, and that Bischoff owns the rights to the “Dudley Boyz” and all of their trademarks. This brings out Team 3D, who get in Bischoff’s face. They want the “Dudley Boyz” trademarks back and they want it right now. Bischoff says he isn’t willing to do that, because the “Dudley Boyz” symbolizes two things that Bischoff hates with all his life: ECW and WWE. Bischoff says he wants no part of a name that started in ECW and hit it’s peak in WWE, and he wants it to be as dead as those two other promotions. Team 3D then threaten to beat the snot out of Bischoff, but they are jumped from behind by Bischoff’s client, Edge, and Rob Van Dam! RVD is aligned with Bischoff? Edge and RVD beat down Team 3D! (78%)

Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine beat Doug Basham and Andrew Martin at 4:25 when Sabin hit the Cradle Suplex on Basham. After the match, JBL and Trevor Murdoch tried to do a run in, but Sabin and Devine escaped in time. (66/69/79)

Mick Foley comes out to the ring, ready to wrestle a match, when Ric Flair and Tommy Dreamer jump him during his entrance. Flair tries to hold Foley still while Dreamer hits him with the kendo stick. Instead, Foley dodges, and Dreamer accidentally cracks the weapon across Flair’s gut. Foley then grabs a steel chair and cracks it over Dreamer’s head and then over Flair’s for good measure. Foley then celebrates his morale victory and forgets about his scheduled match. (86%)

Rhino beat Shawn Daivari at 1:12 with the GORE! This was just a squash match to put Rhino over. The commentator’s remind us that so far Rhino is undefeated in NEW! (71/79/80)

Chris Jericho beat Big Show at 13:45 to retain the NEW World Championship. The match was on the same quality level as their encounter the previous night, though something about it felt lacking. Big Show nearly put Jericho away with the chokeslam from hell, but Jericho got a foot on the ropes. JBL tried interfering again, but Big Show pushed him off the apron. However, the distraction allowed Jericho to dropkick Show’s knee and put him into the Walls of Jericho. Show had no choice but to tap out. As a way of celebrating, Chris Jericho took the title belt and positioned himself to slam it into Big Show’s head. However, The Rock ran in and layed the Smackdown onto Jericho, capping it off with a Rock Bottom on the NEW Champion! Rock then helped Show up to his feet and wished him good luck in PTL, closing the show on a good note. (83/97/87)

Next week: “Dapper” Dave Choate has a sit down interview with Rob Van Dam! Eric Bischoff announces the main event to Summerslam! The Boston Harbor Championship will be revealed! All of this and more, next Saturday night!

Overall: 78%
