Another interesting show. The Orton/AA segment was on track for being something great, but seemed ot lack a bit of execution in the actual script....I'm not sure. And what was up with Rhyno/Nash and Goldberg/Hall? Did they serve any purpose? Just seemed like you tossed some matches on the end, with no reason really...

The Rhyno/Nash and Goldberg/Hall matches are part of the first round of the Fisticuffs tournament. I even highlighted their names in the tournament brackets after the most recent edition of Flood to sow they won their matches and advanced in the tournament.

NWA: Mid-Atlantic's Saturday Night Flood
Tonight special guest commentators Prof. Plague and TheGreatWhiteChoate accompany Jim Ross and Commissioner Bobby “The Brain” Heenan.

Air Paris is in the ring, calling out the Boogeyman. He gets the crowd to start chanting “Nobody’s afraid of the Boogeyman!” Then he says that only little snotnosed kids would be afraid of somebody as ridiculous as that, and calls himself “the high monarch of NWA: Mid-Atlantic. Suddenly the ring goes dark and the Boogeyman’s music starts to play. As ringside announcer Plague goes nuts and color commentator TheGreatWhiteChoate leaves to pick up his pizza, Air Paris calmly picks up a chair and waits. The Boogeyman appears behind him and smashes a clock over his head. Air Paris nearly wets his tights. The Boogeyman picks up Air Paris by the throat and says “I’M THE BOOGEYMAN!” A quick chokeslam, the lights come back on, and the match is underway.

First Round: The Boogey Man def. Air Paris with the Goodnight at 4:38.

Commissioner Bobby Heenan is in the ring:
So, in case everyone hasn’t noticed, there’s a little gap in our Fisticuffs Title Tournament. In the first round Ultimate Warrior is supposed to take on a mystery opponent. Now, here’s the we need, we need someone take that spot. There are 34 people in NWA: Mid-Atlantic. There’s 33 wrestlers and me, a Commissioner Bobby Heenan, and I need someone to take on the Ultimate Warrior tonight. And, as much as I would like wrestle the Ultimate Warrior, I have hurt neck; so, like hell I’m gonna wrestle him. This leaves 33, and as much as I would like to see the Ultimate Warrior wrestle himself and in a match and pin himself, that doesn’t work. So, this leave me with one wrestler, but I want to get everyone involved, so I have decided the Ultimate Warrior will be in a handicap match tonight against the two people are aren’t currently in the tournament: Romeo and Antonio, the Heart Throbs! If the Heart Throbs win, they will wrestle one-on-one to decide who take that spot in the tournament. If the Ultimate Warrior win, well he just advances in the tournament with no strings attached. So Ultimate Warrior, Heart Throbs, get down here so we can see who takes this tournament slot.
