I like your decision to go with the play by play style of match presentation. It isn't the easiest read, but it is different, unique, and a nice realistic way to display your matches.

Also, I feel for you trying to get these guys over. The crowd is just shitting on you, but at least you're pulling some nice Match Quality to boost up those overalls. It'll be a long road, but should make for some nice wrestling.

And how are you disapointed with ratings? The potential audience is 2.17, and you pulled them all.

I should have clarified myself. I was dissappointed in the ratings as far as the Crowd reaction and whatnot. I was VERY pleased with the show rating though.....

I like the style for your shows. While some people do use PBP, you don't abuse it with 60 paragraphs for one match, making it a chore to read through.

Last weeks NWA Japan debut was a stunning success pulling a 2.17 in the ratings.  They pulled out two junior tournament matches with Justin Liger going over SUWA and TAKA Michinoku going over on Kaz Hayashi.  They opened the show with Go Shiosaki (formerly of Pro Wrestling NOAH) vs. Hiroyshi Tenzan in a match that went less than 5 minutes.  Tenzan seems to be like he could be trying to impress the NWAJ Championship committee to get into NWA Japan Heavyweight title tournament.  I've also heard that there is going to be a HUGE announcement this week on Ichiban TV about said tournament.  The main event of the show was Tenryu/Kobashi encouter that was a pure fight.  Both men beat the living hell out of each other and even after Kobashi won with the Orange Crush, Tenryu still managed to battle back and the two fought back to the dressing area.  Tenryu at 54 years old may be the best 54 year old wrestler of all time.  AMAZING.  It's going to be interesting to see what happens with his being "suspended" from the championship tournament this week coming up too.

I've also heard that NWA Japan could be bringing out some big guns for this weeks show as well.  The only name so far that I've actually heard though is Keiji Mutoh.  Although I haven't heard his name mentioned, I think that Kawada will probably be brought in soon as well.

Also I've heard of another match for this weeks Ichiban TV show being Takao Omori taking on Akira Taue.

This week on Ichiban TV we are going to have 2 more opening round contests in the Junior Heavyweight title tournament.  You'll see Noamichi Marafuji vs. Ikuda Hidaka and KENTA vs. Tiger Mask IV.  We have also signed a contest between two grapplers who've never been in there together as Takao Omori squares off against Akira Taue.

We understand that Genichiro Tenryu is FURIOUS over the decision of the NWA Japan Championship committee to "suspend" him from the Championship tournament.  Will he show up on Ichiban TV?

Also, Mike Tenay is going to interview Kenta Kobashi about the attack after the match by Tenryu last week.  It's going to be very interesting to see what the former Triple Crown and GHC title holder has to say about all of this.

Also, we here at NWA Japan are pleased to announce that because of the success that we had in our ratings last week for our debut show we are doing something for our fans.  We are encouraging our fans to either head over to NWAJ.com or call the official NWA Japan hotline at 1-888-99-NWAJ (toll free) and you will get to voice your opinions.  You will get to vote on the participants in our dream match this week and we will announce the winners of the fans votes this Friday.....the day before NWAJ Ichiban TV airs.

Well, we've tallied all of the votes of the NWA Japan fans for our main event this week on Ichiban TV.  We'd like to personally thank all of the fans that took part and voted, we certainly hope that you enjoy the result this weekend.  In a unanimous decision the fans have voted that they would like to see Kenta Kobashi face off with Genichiro Tenryu once again.  After last week, who knows what to expect but we are sure this one is going to be something that you won't want to miss.

We've also recieved word that the NWA Japan Competition committee weren't too pleased about this.  There is word that they may issue some sort of written annoucement about this issue.  We are unclear however if it will be before Itchiban TV or not.  The committee has guaranteed that the match WILL happen we do not know what the comittee is planning to do, but NWAJ.com will continue the updates as they come in.

Show starts with Mike Tenay and Dave Meltzer in the ring.....

Tenay - Ladies and Gentleman welcome to Ichiban TV here on the Superstation!  We have a lot to get into but first I must read the written statement from the NWA Japan Competition Committee.  “Dear NWA Japan fans.  We here at NWA Japan give our best to make sure the fans of our great organization are on the same page with us, and we are on the same page as them.  This past week, we had a vote on our hotline and our website for the fans to vote for this weeks main event and the results was unanimous.  YOU the NWA Japan asked us to do a rematch of the Kenta Kobashi/Genichiro Tenryu match from our very first episode of Ichiban TV.  We are happy to announce that no only is this match signed sealed and delivered tonight...........but it’ll be LAST MAN STANDING.  We hope to see better sportsmanship on the part of Genichiro Tenryu and hopefully we do NOT have a problem after the match this week like we did during their first match up.  Thank you”

Dave Meltzer - Well there you have it folks, you have our main event being a Last Man Standing match up between Kobashi/Tenryu, we have Tiger Mask IV taking on KENTA, also Marafuji is facing off in the jr heavyweight title tournament as well against Ikuda Hidaka.  We also have a first time match up between Takao Omori vs. Akira Taue.  This is going to be a great night of action.

Tenay - It sure is Dave.  Fans at home......lets go backstage right now where Kenta Kobashi is standing by......

Kenta Kobashi is backstage.

Kobashi - Tenryu!  You think what you did to me last week is just going to stand?  You think I’m going to let that go?  You’ve got another thing coming if you do.  I am a world championship caliber athlete and I will not let ANYONE intimidate me.  See you later tonight Tenryu......I WILL be the LAST MAN STANDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Overall - 48

Tenay - WOW, Kobashi looks ready for tonight, but we have our first two participants here tonight in the ring with Tiger Mask IV facing off against KENTA in one of our two Junior Heavyweight title tournament matches tonight!

DM - You just said a mouthful there professor, but this should be a great match up between two great combatants.

Tenay - KENTA hits a missile dropkick on Tiger Mask. Flying knee to the face from KENTA. KENTA face jams Tiger Mask IV. Pinfall attempt  1....2....no! KENTA starting off with furious speed here.  Tiger Mask JUST got the shoulder up

DM - What a flying neckbreaker from KENTA. Pinfall!

Tenay - One, Two.................NO! This one will continue. Tiger Mask reverses a KENTA hammerlock. Hard back suplex on KENTA. The tide has turned.  Hurricanranna by TM.  KENTA fighting out of the grapple...............SPINNING BULLDOG in the corner and Tiger Mast looks out of it.

DM - Tiger Mask IV can barely stand here.......I can already feel a sense of urgency on the part of TM.

Tenay - Here it comes - Busaiku Knee Kick. 1....2...3, it's finished. KENTA is a happy camper here as he moves on.

DM - KENTA really showed us tonight how important this title is to him.

Winner - KENTA (58/35/82)
Rating - ***

A video is played, hyping the upcoming Akira Taue vs Takao Omori match.

Overall - 40%

Tenay - Folks we have another great contest for you with the legendary Akira Taue taking on Japanese superstar Takao Omori.  Anything to add there Dave?

DM - Sure Iron Mike.  Akira Taue has been a major player on the Japanese wrestling scene for years.  He’s well remembered for his matches with then partner Kawada in the All Japan Pro Wrestling’s Real World Tag League Tournaments, he’s wrestled the best in the world and is a former AJPW Triple Crown Champion and Pro Wrestling NOAH GHC titleholder as well.  I guarantee you that the competition committee is looking at this match for consideration for seeding in the NWA Japan Heavyweight title tournament.  Omori on the other hand has held tag titles all over Japan and pretty much has mastered tag team wrestling.  He’s no one to look past though as he’s younger and certainly faster than Taue here.  This one’s gonna be interesting Iron Mike.

Tenay - Well both combatants are in the ring...........lets get this one going!

DM - Nice slam there by Taue on Omori to start this one.

Tenay - Back drop there by Omori out of the Taue piledriver attempt.  Taue is taking some punishing forearms here.  WOW.

DM - Those are brutal to say the least Iron Mike.

Tenay - They sure are.  A normal man would have been out of it by now.  OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!  The referee was accidentally caught with one of those elbows to the face by Taue!

DM - Omori looking to get back on the offensive.....

Tenay - Omori runs Taue inside out with a clothesline.  There’s no ref to count....he’s still out of it.  Taue reverses the hammerlock there by Omori, RUDE AWAKENING style neckbreaker!!!!!!!

DM - Taue hits a beautiful bulldog off the ropes here.......one......two.......he got the shoulder up!

Tenay -  Omori walks into a side choke slam. Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up! That was extremely close there.  Omori counters an arm wringer with an elbow to the side of the head. Big clothesline from Omori. Cover! 1....2....kick out at the last second! Omori looks shocked. Taue blocks a suplex attempt. Takao Omori is in trouble. Here it comes  Dynamic Bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DM- 1....2...3.......it’s over!!!!!

Tenay -  Akira Taue extends his hand to Omori...and it is accepted! They shake! What a great sign of sportsmanship here Dave.

DM - It sure is refreshing to see that after the way that Tenryu is acting around here lately.

Winner - Akira Taue (64/46/82)
Rating - ***

Tenay - Now it’s time for the final first round match up here in the NWA Japan Junior Heavyweight title tournament.

DM- That’s right Iron Mike.  We have two of the best in the world right now with Naomichi Marafuji taking on Ikudo Hidaka.  Let’s get this one going.

Tenay - Second rope flying axe handle, Marufuji goes down. Hidaka going up!  Flying elbow off the top rope by Ikuto. Cover! 1....2...kick out.

DM - Marufuji pushes out of a Nerve hold. Marufuji hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Hidaka takes a flying neckbreaker from Naomichi Marufuji. Marafuji is so quick and agile.

DM - Cover! 1....2...kick out. Flying knee to the face from Marufuji. Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up! That was very close.

Tenay - Marufuji hits a rolling kick on Hidaka. Hidaka pushes out of a Naomichi Marufuji hold. Flying cross body off the top rope! Hooks the leg : 1....2....shoulder up. These two are going at an insane pace!

DM - Ikuto Hidaka with an enziguri. He caught him good.

Tenay - Pin : 1....2....kick out! A split-second away from a three. Hard back suplex on Marufuji. Hidaka hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Marufuji reverses a Ikuto Hidaka hammerlock. Spin kick by Naomichi Marufuji to the face. Marufuji face jams Ikuto Hidaka. Ikuto Hidaka is in trouble. Shiranui! 1....2....3.

DM - That match was simply phenominal!

Winner - Marafuji (60/30/90)
Rating - ****

A video is played, hyping Keiji Mutoh.

Overall - 68

Last Man Standing

Genichiro Tenryu vs Kenta Kobashi

Tenay - Tenryu takes a headbutt from Kenta Kobashi. Tenryu blocks a suplex attempt. Genichiro Tenryu fires off some right and left hands. What a fight to start with here.....

DM - Spear!

Tenay - Kobashi is down and hurt. Kobashi backdrops Tenryu out of a piledriver attempt. It looks like these two are trying to kill each other!!!!!!

DM - Kobashi rams Tenryu into a table. Massive backbreaker, Tenryu got planted. The referee gets to a five count....and Genichiro Tenryu gets back up.  He’s not done fighting!

Tenay - Tenryu walks into a side choke slam. Kenta Kobashi gets taken down out of nowhere.

DM - The referee is counting: 7....8....Kenta Kobashi is back up.

Tenay - Kobashi powers out of a headlock. Genichiro Tenryu can barely stand. Here it comes - ORANGE CRUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. The referee counts to 10, this match is over!  Kenta Kobashi is still in the ring celebrating.

DM - Genichiro Tenryu pushes the referee away!

Tenay - Genichiro Tenryu spins Kobashi around. Genichiro Tenryu hits the Northern Lights Bomb! What a disrespectful thing to do!!!!!!  I can’t believe this...........SEE YA NEXT WEEK!!!!!

Winner - Kobashi (67/54/81)
Rating - ***
