Hey, I'm just too busy to do a proper show this weekend. I could do it now, but I'm too tired. I'm going to go ahead and post my new show on Monday. It should be a great one too, including a very special guest star from Mid-Atlantic :D

NEW Saturday Night
September 2nd 2006

Hey, I just got back from the NEW television tapings. I had a blast, we scored some second row seats from a scalper in the parking lot, it was well worth it!

There were some dark matches, but I didn't pay much attention to them. AMW battled J.R. Ryder and Daivari, and Brian Kendrick and Jerrelle Clark did a comedy bit before the cameras started rolling.

The show started off Chris Hero showing up in the front row, only this time he had some friends with him. I didn't recognize who they were, but Eric Bischoff came out to cut a promo. Bischoff had Rob Van Dam and Edge with him, and RVD knew who the men with Hero were. They were Frankie Kazarian, Matt Sydal, Kevin Steen, and Adam Pearce. Bischoff told them that since they bought tickets, he couldn't have them removed from the arena, but warned them not to get involved or interfere in the show at all. Bischoff then made an announcement for Manchester Mayhem, saying that since Team 3D has refused to hand back the rights to the "Dudley Boyz" then they will have one more match. At Manchester Mayhem, it will be RVD and Edge vs Team 3D in a tables, ladders, and chairs match! Also, Bischoff said that tonight's main event would be Chris Sabin challenging Chris Jericho for the NEW Championship! (82%)

Jushin "Thunder" Liger and Tajiri defeated D'Lo Brown and his special guest partner, Colt Cabana, to retain the NEW Tag Team Championship! This match was great, fast paced, and had me on the edge of my seat! The finish came when Tajiri spit the green mist in the face of Cabana and pinned him after a couple of stiff kicks to the head. (81/74/89)

Kid Kash cut a backstage promo, saying bad things about James Gibson and how he's going to beat his ass for the Boston Harbor Championship tonight. Kash also made some snide remarcks about CSW and the problems they are currently facing. I thought that was a bit low, it gained some heat from the audience. (72%)

James Gibson defeated Kid Kash to retain the Boston Harbor Championship! This was another exciting match, though Carlito kept interferring on the behalf of Kash. Ron Killings ran in to prevent Carlito from getting involved any more, and Gibson was able to put the trailer hitch on Kash for the submission victory. After the match, Killings and Gibson teased a brawl of their own, since they'll be facing each other at Manchester Mayhem for the Boston Harbor strap. (84/82/87)

America's Most Wanted cut a backstage promo stating they were angry about losing the NEW Tag Team Championship at Summerslam, but are now focused on making sure they become the NWA Tag Team Champions again. It was a boring promo, I don't think they gained any overness from it. (62%)

Sonny Siaki cut an in-ring promo, saying he found the man who will give Rhino his first NEW loss. This man defeated Rhino in under a minute in NWA:M-A, and he is the Ultimate Warrior!

Rhino squashed the Ultimate Warrior in under a minute. Rhino put him down with a gore, and the crowd chanted "one more time" so Rhino obliged. After the match, Tommy Dreamer ran in and attacked Rhino, apparently at the request of Sonny Siaki. As it turns out, Rhino is going to face Dreamer at Manchester Mayhem. (73/77/64)

President Rowe got on the microphone and said he wants to give NEW fans the very best wrestling in the world. He says he has made a special negotiation with NWA:M-A to have an oustanding main event for Manchester Mayhem. He brings out the man, who Rowe has picked to challenge for the NEW title at the ppv, Rey Mysterio! Mysterio comes out to a massive pop, though it brings out John Bradshaw Layfield, who is outraged. JBL says he's angry not only because Mysterio is not from NEW, but that he probably snuck into the country in the first place! Eric Bischoff then comes out and adds JBL as the special referee for the match at Manchester Mayhem, which upsets President Rowe. (87%)

Chris Jericho defeated Chris Sabin to retain the NEW Championship in another great match! Actually, I could have lived without the finish, as the referee was accidently bumped by Jericho. Jericho threw Sabin over the ropes, and Sabin landed on the barricade by where Hero and his PTL friends were sitting. This caused Hero to spill his soda, which prompted him, Steen, Sydal, Pearce, and Kazarian to jump over the barricade and beat the crap out of Sabin. They rolled him back into the ring where Jericho easily pinned him. At this point, security chased the PTL guys from the arena, as Jericho celebrated a successful title defense. (87/86/89)

It was a crazy show, but I'm really psyched for Manchester Mayhem and to see what happens next with the PTL guys!

After an amazing show last Sunday at the Compuware Arena, NWA Midwest brings you.... SATURDAY NIGHT! LIVE from the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI.

The show starts off with Styles informing us that NWA Midwest has a new Midwestern Champion. And what a surprise, here he comes. It's CHRIS BENOIT!

It's my belt.... Take it if you can
Chris Benoit comes out. He holds the belt high as he makes his way to the ring. He tells the fans that he's going to give a new meaning to "fighting champion." He'll fight anyone, anytime. However they want to fight. This brings out Batista. He wants his rematch. Abyss cost him his title last night, and he wants the chance to win his title back without Abyss or Mitchell involved.
Roddy Piper comes out. He tells the two they can have their match later tonight. Right after the initial matches in the NWA Midwest Interstate Title Tournament. (74)

Styles puts over the excitement for the tournament and the new main event.

Crazy, but that's how it goes.
We see a video of Jerry Lynn's sick bump from the top of the ladder through the announce table at Hotter than Hell. Styles tells us that Lynn is resting at home, and that Homicide is at his home resting as well. Styles assures us that Lynn will be back in action as soon as he can. (55)

The Tournament begins...
Roddy Piper comes out with paper in hand. He announces that the NWA Midwestern Title tournament will begin tonight, and the first round will be random pairings. With that being said:(65)

Interstate Title Tournament Match #1:Bobby Roode vs. Delirious
Delirious gets the crowd clapping for him, and they start the match off with the basic collar and elbow tie up. Over the course of the match, Delirious begins to agitate Roode with his lack of sanity. Roode finally breaks and starts strangling Delirious, but he lets go before the ref counts to five. Delirious stumbles about, and the strangling allows Roode to hit a Northern Lariat for the win.
WINNER: Bobby Roode (55/47/78)

You are nothing...
CM Punk comes to the ring with a microphone in his hand. He's there to brag about his victory over Raven. He has Raven scouted. He knows every move Raven wants to make before Raven does. So Raven should come out and admit defeat.
Raven agrees, apparently, as he makes his way out from behind the curtain. He tells Punk that he doesn't know ****.

Raven: You think you know me? Do You think that you have me figured out? If you do, then I dare you to take me apart piece by piece. Even if I were to tell you where every last fragment of my calloused mind went, you’d never be able to put me back together. I am Humpty Dumpty. And you have no horses, and you have no men, and you are no king.
You are a nobody. A nobody who found something that made them a somebody. And you want to remind everyone that you are a somebody. But we all see the truth. We see the wizard behind the curtain. We see that you aren't a holy man. You're a televangelist preaching the gospel to gather personal profits. And when the profits stop coming, you are once again a nobody. When you've become that nobody, and you've embraced the nothing, THAT is when you will understand me. THAT is when you will know the agony that is Raven. QUOTH THE RAVEN, NEVERMORE.
(87)

Interstate Title Tournament Match #2:Claudio Castagnoli vs. William Regal
This match is a very, VERY good European match. Claudio works face and tries some comedy, but realizes that Regal means BUSINESS. The two work hard to win the match, but Regal picks up the win with the Regal Stretch.
WINNER: William Regal(64/65/80)

Old Man Funk is Gone!
Ken Kennedy makes his way to the ring. He's happy tonight. He's happy because last Sunday, Terry Funk said "I Quit." It doesn't matter why, John Walters, it just matters that those two words came out of Terry Funk's mouth. Because Terry Funk uttering those two sweet words means that Terry Funk is in fact GONE from NWA Midwest. That's right, Kennedy had his lawyers add a clause into the contract that made the match an "I Quit, loser leaves Midwest" match. But he just forgot to tell Terry Funk that before the match started. So everyone should thank Ken Kennedy. Because right now Terry Funk is at home on his couch. And that's where he's going to be next week. And the week after that, and the week after that. (75)

NWA Midwestern Title Match: Batista vs. Chris Benoit
Both men are still banged up after last week, but they're both ready to go. Batista gets the advantage early on. He powers Benoit around, but Benoit takes it well. Benoit takes the advantage and hits some rest holds to try and wear down the Animal. Benoit gets Batista in a headlock. Batista shoots Benoit into the ropes, and then shoulder blocks him. Batista gets the upper hand on the hit, and Benoit takes out the ref. Batista is still groggy from the headlock
James Mitchell and Abyss both come out. They make their way to the ring to some serious boos. Abyss slides into the ring. In a re-enactment from Hotter than Hell, Abyss grabs Batista and holds him steady as Mitchell climbs onto the apron. Mitchell holds his cane high and swings it. Unlike Hotter Than Hell, though, Batista ducks. Mitchell CLOBBERS Abyss with the cane. The crowd erupts. Batista throws Abyss into Mitchell and both fall to the floor. Batista flexes in excitement, which gives Benoit a moment to hit a low blow and roll up Batista. The ref makes the count.
WINNER: Chris Benoit
The crowd boos Benoit. He holds the belt up, and points out that it's his. The crowd is pissed. (71/77/81)

NWA: Mid-Atlantic apolgizes for its delay with posting show results. NWA: M-A has been continuing academic and scholarly pursuits, but generic show results should be up tomorrow.

NWA: Mid-Atlantic's Saturday Night Flood
Commentary with Jim Ross and Commissioner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan

2 Skinny Black Guys def. The Highlanders at 5:46 when The Human Tornado hit the Tornado DDT on Robbie McAllister. After the match, two wrestlers dressed in black and traditional goth clothes attacked 2 Skinny Black Guys.

60/70/34

Christian Cage enters the ring with a huge pop from the crowd. Cage cuts a promo on Cena saying that he beat Cena at his own game at Revolution, beating him in an Old School Throwdown. Cage then called out Cena an demanded to have an Old School Street Fight right there tonight. Cage left the ring disappointed, as Cena didn't answer his response.
89

Heenan: I don't think so Cage, you're just going to have to wait until Revelations just like everyone else!

Umaga def. Xavier at 3:18 with the Samoan Spike in a match that was more-or-less a squash in Umaga's debut match.

66/60/73

Heart Throbs with Paul E. Dangerously called-out any tag team to fight them this week in an open challenge. The debuting Hardy Boyz show-up and accept the match.

The Hardy Boyz draw The Heart Throbs via Double-Count-Out at 10:37 when all four men end-up out of the ring and begin brawling outside of the ring.

80/81/81

Commissioner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan meets Mid-Atlantic Champion "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels in the ring. Heenan hands-over the rest of Styles' paperwork, right and royalties since Daniels won the title-for-contract match at Revolution, where he won Styles' Mid-Atlantic contract. Daniels call Styles into the ring. Daniels tells Styles that he has decided not to fire Styles from the Mid-Atlantic. In fact, Daniels wants have Styles under him, and teach him the ropes. Daniels says first Styles has to change his name, with a choice between Daniel Christopher or AJ Daniels. Styles' chooses AJ Daniels. Daniels is excited saying they can call themselves the "Daniels Brothers". Daniels also tells Heenan he's going to book a match tonight between the Daniels Brothers and "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton against Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, and Sting, so they can start strong in a war against the legends. Phase one has been complete with the forced retirement of "Dirty" Dick Slater and with Orton defeated Sting last Sunday at Revolution in the Hell in a Cell match. With Styles on their side, they can continue to dominate the Mid-Atlantic.
90

Les Bohèmiens (Precious Lucy and Mikey Whipwreck w/ Melina Perez) def. The Outsiders at 7:16 when Chavo Guerrero and "Sugar" Shane Helms attacked The Outsiders while Melina distracted the referee. As usual, Helms hit Scott Hall with his camcorder.
**1\2
76/74/79

Heenan: Dammit, Shane! That's the fourth camera I've bought you! If you keep destroying your camera, we're never going to get footage for your Bohemian video segments!

Ross: Brain, you didn't even care that Les Bohèmiens cheated once again to win their match. All you care about is buying another camera!

Heenan: Why should I care that they're cheating? I should promote them! And, hey, do you know how much those camera go for? You'd be pretty pissed of if you've had to buy them less than every other week!

The Virginia State Champion Val Venis lets everyone know that he's the greatest wrestler and the future of NWA: Mid-Atlantic. He says his matches against "The American Hero" Steven Richards were far too many and went-on for too long. He says he's looking for a real challenge and calls-out the Sting. He'll even put his title on the line against him, but he wants an answer by next week.
79

"Phenomenal" AJ Daniels, "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels, and "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton def. Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, and Sting at 14:56 when Daniels as the illegal man, came into the ring, low-blowed Goldberg and put him in the Angel Wings, and yelled at AJ Daniels, the legal man, to pin him.
