Aug. 27, 2006 Revolution Commentary by Jim Ross and Commissioner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan Ross: Good evening everyone to NWA: Mid-Atlantic's supershow Revolution. Tonight is guaranteed to please. We are going to see 2 Live Kewl and The Backseat Boyz settle things once and for all in a Ladder Match. We are also going to see a fantastic 8-Man Tag Match between Solución Suicida and Les Bohémiens. The Tag Team titles are going to be on the line as the other members of Les Bohémiens, Chavo Guerrero and "Sugar" Shane Helms challenge The Outsiders for their Tag Team gold. And Revolution goes Old School in and Old School No Escape Cage Match between Val Venis and "The American Hero" Steven Richards for Venis' Virginia State title. Heenan: And, I've decided if anyone tries to escape the cage, I am going to suspend that wrestler indefinitely. A title change will not take place by escaping the cage! Ross: That's a good idea, Brain. And keepin' things Old School, we are going to see an Old School Throwdown between Christian Cage and John Cena in a rap-off. And, could tonight be the Death of Hulkamania? Heenan: Yes. Tonight we are going to see Hulkamania be buried alive in a Buried Alive match! Ross: And in our main events of the evening, the Mid-Atlantic champion "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels is going to put his title on the line against AJ Styles, who has put his Mid-Atlantic contract on the line, in a title-for-contract match. And, in our last match of the evening, the legend, "The Man They Calll" Sting in a Hell in a Cell match against "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton. Heenan: JR, I guarantee those matches will be fantastic, no doubt; but, right now it's the Ultimate Challenge. Ultimate Ass, get your ass down here! Ultimate Challenge Ultimate Warrior def. Abdullah The Butcher via Disqualification at 3:28 when Abdullah repeatedly stabbed Warrior on the forehead with a fork. Somehow, Warrior did not bleed which confused Abdullah the Butcher and everyone else on Earth. Announcer : The winner of the this contest and the winner of the Ultimate Challenger at 3:28 via Disqualification - The Ultimate Warrior! :Heenan runs into the ring.: Heenan: No, no, no, no. The Ultimate Challenge cannot be won via Disqualification. I want this match restarted, and this time with No Disqualification...for Abdullah The Butcher. Ultimate Challenge: Restarted Ultimate Warrior def. Abdullah The Butcher at 6:29 with the Ultimate Bomber Pin. Heenan: Dammit! Dammit! Dammit! :Heenan runs into the ring with a steel chair.: :Heenan swings the chair hitting Warrior on the back. Warrior turned around and pulled the chair out of Heenan's hands. Warrior went after Heenan, but Heenan ran out of the ring. Warrior then celebrating by running around and shaking the ropes.: *1/2 64/73/55 Ross: Welcome back, Brain. Heenan: Dammit! It happened again! I will get the Ultimate Warrior back! Ross: Sure you will, Brain. Up next is an 8-Man Tag match set for one fall between your Bohemians.. Heenan: Ah-hem. Ross: Les Bohémiens. Les Bohémiens against Solución Suicida. Heenan: This match was specially requested by Snitsky - The Dancing Yiddish Clown. I wanted to say no, but I just couldn't with his silly looking shoes. Ross: Shoes now? Heenan: Shoes, big red nose, rainbow coloured afro wig---The Works! Ross: Clown costume, Fatty Arbuckle pants? Heenan: Actually, no. Just his black tights. Clown costume? That's ridiculous! JR, you're the most ridiculous person a know. ...A clown costume! Hah! That's funny. You're funny. Les Bohémiens (Chris Masters, Mikey Whipwreck, Precious Lucy, and Melina Perez) def. Solución Suicida (Gene Snitsky, El Generico, The Human Tornado, and Piloto Suicida) via Submission at 9:39 when Precious Lucy and Melina Perez pushed Snitsky The Dancing Yiddish Clown off of a trapeze Snitsky brought to the ring, landing of his head - when he attempted the Whoopie Cushion on Mikey Whipwreck. Masters was the illegal man, unknown to the referee, then hit Snitsky with his 10 gallon pickle bucket drum-set and applied the Masterlock, leaving Snitsky unconscious, and having his arm dropped for the three. ** 68/59/77 Perez: Dammit Gene! What happened?! You're supposed to protect us from people like Solución Suicida; instead, you've become one of them! You are our Insurance Policy, instead you are a Dancing Yiddish Clown! You might be part of Solución Suicida, but I am the one who brought you in the Mid-Atlantic. What happened to our search for Truth, Beauty, and Love? Huh? Huh?! What about Gene?! You were supposed to help us! Huh, Gene?! Dammit, Gene! You're fired! Ross: Once again, your Bohemians are on top because they cheated! Heenan: Ah-hem. Ross: Les Bohémiens. Heenan: Well, at least they won't have to worry about a Dancing Yiddish Clown taking them off track. Melina just fired the clown! Ross: And you're going to let her? Heenan: Like I care, JR. Ross: At any rate, up-next is a match between 2 Live Kewl, Scotty 2 Hotty and Colt Cabana, in a Ladder match against The Backseat Boyz, Trent Acid and Johnny Kashmere. This all dates back to the first episodes of Saturday Night Flood when the Backseat Boyz interfered in each others matches so they could advance in the tournament. Seeking justice, Scotty 2 Hotty and Colt Cabana formed a tag team to get back at the Backseat Boyz, and it's all come-down to this: tonight, a Ladder match, Sunday, August 27 at Revolution. Tag Team Ladder Match 2 Live Kewl def. Backseat Boyz at 12:45 when Scotty 2 Hotty did a Flying DDT from the top of the ladder on Trent Acid. Kashmere went to go big with a dive from the top of the ladder, but was stopped by 2 Live Kewl. 2 Live Kewl jacked Backseat Boyz finisher, and did the T-Gimmick on Kashmere from the top of the ladder, giving 2 Live Kewl the pin. ****3/4 92/84/100 Mid-Atlantic Tag Title Match The Outsiders© def. Les Bohèmiens via DQ at when the rest of Les Bohèmiens ambushed The Outsiders when Outsiders got the upper-hand. **** 90/89/92 Precious Lucy: This is what we do to people who get in our way of... Mikey Whipwreck: Truth Chris Masters: Beauty. Shane Helms: And Love. :Helms then hit Hall and Nash with his camcorder.: Ross: Damn Helms and his camcorder! We've got "Sugar" Shane Helms week-after-week whaling The Outsiders with a camcorder and you're going to give him his own video segment? Heenan: The ratings I tell, ya'! They'll be through the roof. Ross: But he's filming hitting people with a camcorder. The very camcorder he's filming with, he's hitting them with. Heenan: That's the catch. Ross: You make me sick, Brain. Heenan: Yeah, whatever, JR. I don't see NWA: Mid-Atlantic naming you Commissioner, obviously they see something in me and they know I'm just that good! But, moving on, we're about to see an Old School No Escape Cage Match between Val Venis and "The American Hero" Steven Richards for Venis' Virginia State title. Ross: And, in case anyone hasn't been able to keep-up, these two have been going back and forth since the very first supershow, May Day, where Venis was first crowned champion. Richards and Venis were good friends and worked together in that 20-man battle royal to decide the final two for the crowning of the Virginia State champion. Richards won the battle royal, but Venis used sneak attacks on Richards and got the upper-hand and won the Virginia State title at May Day. And now, it's all come to this: an Old School No Escape Cage Match for Venis' Virginia State title. No Escape Cage Match for the Virginia State Title Val Venis © def. "The American Hero" Steven Richards at 14:03 when Venis climbed to the top of the cage and hit the Money Shot, pinning Richards. **1/2 75/76/74 Old School Hip-Hip Throwdown :Christian Cage and John Cena enter the ring. They look at each other seeing who should start first.: Cena: Yo'! Ladies first! Cage: You are what you eat. An Old School Thrown-Down, a match Cena can't cheat, fans kick back, and listen to my beat. Long before Sps and NPCs and long before CDs and mp3s, bring you back from NEW in an Old School nook, now let's read from Christian's book. Cena: Super Nintendo, Sega Genises, Old School - I authorize this. Christian, you left NEW so Edge's career could blossom. My raps dazzle in Billy Flynn's costume. Your ideas are half-baked like Hamburger Helper, Christian, I'm gonna scalp you like a scalper. Cage: Cena, you're playing like Tony Danza on "Who's the Boss", my rhymes are gonna make you 'Jump-Jump' like Chris Cross. Cena: Christian, you're like Pop 'n Fresh wantin' the lovin', but you're a Shrinky-Dinky fresh from the oven. Cage: Cena, you were a champion in yo' previous years, allow me this rap to yo' devious ears: Cena, you cheat at playing a champ with platinum and dice, my raps are so hot, you're gonna swallow yo' ice. Cena, I'm here to stay. I have your place here in the M-A. You've only wished you had my thuganomic ways. Fans, I'm the next champ in 6 plus 2K. Cena: Christian, stop pretendin' to free style; boy, you haven't enough finished "8 Mile." This is about respect, salute me a challenge. Championships, I don't care, name your sentimental valium. Cage: John Cena, if you lave M-A I'll be the attendant to take your toll, meet me in an Old School Street Fight, because that's how I roll. :The two are left staring at one another. They turn away from one another when Cena goes to clothesline Cage. Cage ducks, spins Cena around, and lays him out with an Unprettier. Cage stands over Cena, posing to the audience, receiving loud cheers from the audience.: 87 Ross: Sounds like Christian Cage just challenged John Cena to an Old School Street Fight. Heenan: Gee, you think? Yes, they now have a match scheduled for next month's supershow, Revelations. Ross: What is it with you and supershows that are nouns beginning with "r" and ending in "-tion". Heenan: Shut up, Ross and call the next match. And bring me a soda, for I am thirsty! Ross: Like hell! Heenan: Like hell?! Wait, that reminds me, the Buried Alive match with Hulk Hogan and Kane next! Don't bring me a soda! Stay here and call the match! Buried Alive Match Kane def. Hulk Hogan at 11:52 when Kane Chokeslammed Hogan into the dirt pit. When Hogan began to climb out of the pit, Kane threw-down the blood-covered steel chair that he busted open Hogan with at Master and Commander in the dirt pit, and Tombstoned Hogan onto the chair, busting him open again, and into a state of unconsciousness, giving Kane time to bury Hogan alive. ***1/2 86/95/66 Heenan: Hah! How about that? Ross: I don't even have anything to say to that, Brain. I am speechless. Heenan: I told you I was going to bring in Kane to destroy Hulkamania and to bury Hulk Hogan alive, and it happened. Ross: And coming up next folks is our first main event: 2/3 Falls, Chris Daniels and AJ Styles in a title-for-contract match. At Master and Commander they drew one another in a Last Man Standing match resulting in a double knock out. Heenan: And tonight, I'm going to make sure there isn't a draw, no matter what. Ross: So long as Daniels walks-out with the belt and Style's contract. Heenan: :He pauses.: ...Shut up, Ross! 2/3 Falls Match: Mid-Atlantic Title for AJ Styles' Contract Match "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels © def. "Phenomenal" AJ Styles at 45:26. In the first fall, Styles pinned at 20:21 when Styles hit the Spiral Tap followed by the Styles Clash. In the second fall, Daniels pinned Styles at 33:09 with The Angel's Wings. In the third fall, Daniels pinned Styles at 45:26 with the Styles' own Styles Clash. After the match, Daniels was handed the Mid-Atlantic championship belt with AJ Styles' contract resting on top of the belt. Daniels then paraded around the ring with the title belt and Styles' contract. ***1\2 83/80/87 Daniels: Your mine now AJ! Your contract belongs to me! You wrestle for me now! I tell you what to do and where to do it. When I say jump, you're going to say "How high, Mr. "God's Gift to Wrestling" Daniels?" Styles: Yes, sir, Mr. "God's Gift to Wrestling" Daniels. You say jump, and I'll say how high will I have to be to take orders from Chris Daniels?! Daniels: Haha. You're a feisty one. I'm going to let that one go. Here, put on this dog collar and let me walk you out. Styles: I hate you so, so much Chris. Daniels: Now-now. Styles: No. Daniels: Fine. We'll get started tomorrow. Enjoy your last day of freedom and meet me in the ring at 6 am tomorrow for training. Styles: You practice at 6 in the morning? Daniels: No, I sleep in. But you will be. Hahahahah. :Daniels walks out, leaving Styles in the ring. Daniels continues to laugh going into the locker room.: Ross: Oh, no. Oh, no. Heenan: Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Ross: Christopher Daniels now has AJ Styles contracted to himself! You think he's going to just flat-out fire him and force him to leave the Mid-Atlantic. Heenan: I would think so, but it doesn't sound that way. Ross: Well, coming up next is our second main event of the evening as "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton takes on "The Man They Call" Sting in a Hell in a Cell match. Ever since our first edition of Saturday Night Flood, Randy Orton has been after Sting; although it seems that Sting seems to get the best of Orton week-after-week with head games and clean wins over Orton; but, it seems that Orton won't give up, and it's come to this. Hell in a Cell Match "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton def. "The Man They Call" Sting at 24:15 when Orton RKO'd Sting off the top of the cage through the Spanish commentator's table. Seconds passed, but Orton managed to barely cover Sting when he draped his arm over Sting's chest. Orton was bloodied by the end of the match after Sting repeated threw him into the cage and shouted, "Now this is a cage match, suckbag!" **** 90/97/77 87
