It's time for another show! This week's NEW episode is the last one before the Manchester Mayhem pay-per-view, so look for exciting times when I get it up (which will be either Saturday or later on Monday). Also, the new Jukes Box will have to wait until Saturday at the earliest. I've just been too busy. |

NWA Saturday Night: Last Week: Perro Aguayo gets introduced as the new Mexican National Champion. Los Vipers beating Los Barrio Boys with a Doomsday Device. Acero Dorado reversing a Donovan Morgan piledriver into a pinfall win. Aguayo hypes up the legend that is El Hijo Del Santo and how it's time for a new era. La Familia forms and beats down L.A. Par-K. Damian 666 giving a low blow and diamond cutter to Mephisto. Juventud smashing the beer bottle over the head of Aguayo. Various highlights of the Santo/Juvy match and Juvy getting his hand raised fades into a bloody Aguayo laying on the mat to end the video. World Trios Tournament Semi-Final: L.A. Par-K ©, La Parka II and Virus d. Taka Michinoku ©, Kaz Hayashi and Ikuto Hidaka A lot of brawling to start. Par-K hits a DDT on Michinoku to take the first fall. Hayashi gets Virus into a camel clutch and Taka dropkicks him in the face. Hidaka follows that up with a moonsault off the top rope. Taka/Kaz hit a double powerbomb to get the pin on Virus. They knock Par-K off the apron and submit Parka II with a crossface from Kaz. The third fall sees Parka II and Virus pinning Kaz and Hidaka with double victory rolls to move to the finals. *** 70/61/80 Joey Styles: Please welcome our next guest Juventud Guerrera. ::Juvy walks out and grabs the mic from Joey Styles:: Juvy: Aguayo Jr. is a punk and he doesn't deserve that title belt. He got lucky and is getting a push because of his daddy. Once he faces a real wrestler like me he'll be exposed as the loser that he is. Styles: How can you justify the attack last week? Couldn't you have just won the No.1 Contenders match and waited till the PPV? Juvy: Shut up Styles. I do what I want in this fed and there's nothing you can do about it because the fans come to see me. They don't come to see some punk kid play wrestler for his daddy. I treated him like the punk he is. In fact I did him a favor. Now he can use that as an excuse to retire and not have to suffer the shame of the beating he's going to take at my hands. Styles: There you have it folks. Let's head back into the ring. World Trios Tournament Semi-Final: Dr. Wagner Jr. ©, Abismo Negro and Cibernetico d. Rey Bucanero ©, Tarzan Boy and Ultimo Guerrero Cibernetico hits the opponents with a dive to the outside. Negro hits a frog splash on Tarzan Boy for a pin and Wagner pins Guerrero with a Black Tiger Bomb. For the second fall Cibernetico hits Bucanero with a low blow and gets the roll up for the win. *** 72/65/79 Ultimo Dragon d. Super Dragon The Dragons exchange some brutally stiff kicks to start. Super Dragon springboards off the ropes and hits an armdrag. Ultimo Dragon charges and Super Dragon hits a drop toe hold. Super Dragon misses a running senton splash and Ultimo Dragon slaps on the Dragon Sleeper to take the first fall. Handspring elbow for Ultimo Dragon followed by a knee to the head. Ultimo Dragon sizes him up and hits and Asai DDT to get the win for a great match. ****1/4 82/67/97 Juventud Guerrera d. Johnny Jeter Guerrera took both falls. Jeter showed a lot of heart here though. He had Juvy in some bad spots but due to inexperience couldn't put him away. *** 75/71/80 World Trios Tournament Final: Dr. Wagner Jr. ©, Abismo Negro and Cibernetico d. L.A. Par-K ©, La Parka II and Virus Par-K quickly rolls up Wagner to steal the first fall. A lot of brawling during the second fall. Wagner ducks a charge and rolls up Par-K to even the score up. Par-K almost pulls off the win here but Fuerza Guerrera trips him up and the rudos pile on to win the tournament. *** 74/71/78 Joey Styles: We have a taped interview from Perro Aguayo who's still recovering from Juvy's cowardly attack last week. ::The video starts and Perro Aguayo Jr. is sitting in a chair at his home:: Aguayo: You see this Juventud? You see my head. ::Aguayo pulls the bandage off exposing the stitches in his forehead:: Aguayo: I'm glad you won the match last week Juventud. It makes me really happy. You know why that is? Because now you have to step into the ring with my at the next PPV. You're probably somewhere in the back patting yourself on the back over this. Enjoy that feeling while you can. At the PPV I will f____ing kill you. You understand me. I WILL KILL YOU YOU PIECE OF S___. You opened the gates and now you'll have to live with what results. So get ready for a war because the games are over now. Main Event: Galavision Title Match: Donovan Morgan d. Acero Dorado, Damian 666 and EZ Money to win the title EZ Money is the first to go as Morgan hits a reverse DDT. Damian is next as Dorado rolls him up with a victory roll. Dorado nails Morgan with a bulldog and nails a frog splash off the top rope for two. Dorado applies a sleeper but Morgan gets in the ropes. Dorado goes for a moonsault but gets met with a knee to the gut. Morgan hits a Rikishi Driver to get the win and the title. ***1/4 78/74/83 Overall: 77% We got a 1.87 rating for 'NWA Saturday Night'! The attendance level was 6639 people. |

Interstate Title Tourney-Sterling James Keenan vs. Jimmy Jacobs It's a good match, but it's dominated by the Raven-Punk feud. Keenan dominates Jacobs in the match, but CM Punk interferes. Punk tries to help Jacobs win, but accidentally clocks Jacobs, giving Keenan the win. Punk attacks Keenan, and Raven makes the save, giving Punk the Raven Effect DDT WINNER: Sterling James Keenan (57/47/82) #1 Freakin' Contender! Kurt Angle comes out to emphasize what he's going to do tomorrow night: Win the freaking belt. This of course brings out Chris Benoit. Benoit tells Angle that Kurt doesn't stand a chance. Kurt asks why. Benoit wants to show Kurt. ABYSScomes out from behind Kurt and attacks him. Benoit runs down to the ring and assaults Kurt as well. Batista comes out to make the save and all four brawl. Does anyone else smell a main event tonight???? (71) Interstate Title Tourney-B-Boy vs. Jack Evans B-Boy is intense until Jack Evans comes out. Once Evans hits the ring, B-Boy dies laughing. B-Boy asks the ref if this is for real. The ref nods. B-Boy looks at Jack Evans and ask Evans if he knows how to wrestle. Evans says yes. B-Boy says ok, and the match starts. B-Boy goes light on Evans, who doesn't hold back. He's flipping and flopping all over the place and B-Boy is surprised. B-Boy, though, isn't afraid to get rough and ends up taking Evans out with a WICKED Shining Wizard to advance. WINNER: B-Boy (56/42/85) I'm getting my chance! Matt Striker is backstage. He wants to thank Commissioner Roddy Piper for including him in the Interstate Title Tournament. Striker's thankful that he finally gets his chance to showcase his talent. He's going to win the Interstate Title, and he's not going to let his fans, the Striker Force, down! (64) Ken Kennedy vs. Claudio Castagnoli Kennedy and Castagnoli both lost in the first round of the Interstate Title Tournament. Castagnoli to Regal, and Kennedy to Matt Striker thanks to some interference from someone dressed in black. Castganoli offers Kennedy a handshake, Kennedy refuses, saying something about a greaseball from Switzerland. The match starts and Kennedy takes advantage of his size. Castagnoli gets some offense, but Kennedy won't let him keep his steam. Kennedy gets ready for the Lambeau Leap when the man in the black mask walks down the aisle. Kennedy drops Castagnoli and goes after him. He freaks when the man pulls off the mask to reveal TERRY FUNK. Kennedy stumbles back and mutters "You're not supposed to be here.." Castagnoli takes advantage of the situation and flies off the top rope with a cross body to the outside. He drags Kennedy in the ring and hits the Ricola Bomb for the finish. WINNER: Claudio Castagnoli (60/63/71) Funk grabs a mic. He says he pulled a favor with Commissioner Piper. Tomorrow night they're going to have a Loser Leaves NWA Midwest Last Man Standing match. This time, Kennedy's livelihood is on the line. Kennedy freaks out. (87) Let's Finish This!!! The Chair Swinging Freaks challenge The British Invasion. They're tired of the back and forth. They want the tag titles and they want them now. So tomorrow night, settle it once and for all with a hardcore match for the Midwestern Tag Titles. (59) Batista & Angle vs. Benoit and Abyss Both teams are evenly matched. Batista and Benoit start out, and Batista takes out some frustration on the champ. Batista even reminds Benoit that the belt should be his. Benoit tags out to Abyss. The crowd goes wild. The two big men brawl, and Batista is playing face in peril. Benoit and Abyss tag well, but they still have some communication problems, which leads to Batista getting the hot tag to Angle. Angle cleans house, and puts some extra effort into his assault on Benoit. This leads to Benoit leaving, and Batista pinning Abyss after a powerslam. WINNERS: Angle and Batista (73/82/83) Overall: 66 We got a 2.17 rating for 'NWA Midwest!' The attendance level was 3506 people. We made $105180 from ticket sales. |

Sept. 23, 2006 NWA: Mid-Atlantic Saturday Night Flood Commentary with Jim Ross, Commissioner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, and and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (in search of a protégé) Fit Finlay def. Jay Lethal at 6:49 when Finlay jabbed Lethal in the eyes and put a stunned Lethal into the Emerald Fusion. ** 70/54/86 "Sugar" Shane Helms presents another pretentious video short. Helms narrates how he and Chavo Guerrero are the better team than The Outsiders because they are from the arts and have worked in performance spaces and not just street thugs fighting in bars. 72 Number One Contender for the M-A Tag Team Championship 2 Live Kewl def. The Hardy Boyz at 8:03 when Colt Cabana hit the Colt 45 on Jeff Hardy after Paul E. Dangerously scouted the match and made a call on his cell phone and had The Heart Throbs attack Jeff Hardy, leaving Matt Hardy alone with Colt Cabana. 2 Live Kewl helped The Hardy Boyz clear the ring of The Heart Throbs and Paul E. Dangerously. **** 89/87/91 Bobby "The Brain" Heenan goes into the ring to meet 2 Live Kewl. Heenan: Congrats boys! You've just been names number one contenders for the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship! What are you going to do now? Colt: I'm going to Disney World! Heenan: What about your tag team match against The Outsiders? Colt: Oh, oh yeah. Sorry, I got excited. I was thinking of giving the Colt 45 on Mickey Mouse. But now, I can Colt 45 Mickey Mouse, and smack the M-A Tag Team belt on the portrait of that anti-Semitic bastard! Scotty: You mean Mel Gibson? Colt: Yeah, him too. Heenan: Well boys, tomorrow night at Revelations, it's going to be 2 Live Kewl challenging The Outsiders for the Mid-Atlantic Tag Team Championship. 96 The Outsiders def. Backseat Boyz at 6:15 when Nash Jackknife Powerbombed Johnny Kashmere. After the match, Melina Perez rushed the ring to distract The Outsiders while Chavo Guerrero and Shane Helms attacked The Outsiders from the crowd, playing both of the out with La Vie Bohème. ***3/4 88/81/96 The Rock's Open Challenge NWA Title Match The Rock def. Umaga at 9:48 with the Rock Bottom followed by the People's Elbow. After the match, Umaga hit The Rock with the Samoan Spike. ***1/4 83/83/84 Ross: Stone Cold, how's the search coming? Austin: I think I may have found him. I'll let everyone know tomorrow night at Revelations. Christopher Daniel's is in his locker room with AJ (Styles-)Daniels. Daniels: AJ, I thought that as Mid-Atlantic champion, I should go for the NWA titles against The Rock tomorrow night at Revelations. But, I have decided against it. I mean, when I win the NWA title, I'd have to leave the Mid-Atlantic. Would I be able to keep the belt? Would I be able to defend it at least once every thirty days? Would I have to vacate the title? AJ continues rummages through his bag. Daniels: So, that is why I've decided to name you the number one contender for the NWA title. I mean, I don't need the NWA title and you can't take the M-A belt away from me. But, you know the secrets of the Angel's Wings, so you an take the NWA belt away from The Rock. Styles: Wait, what?! Daniels: Yeah, I don't want the NWA title. I'll go for it sometime later when someone pries the Mid-Atlantic title out of the dead hands. Styles: Um, ok. So, I'm the number one contender for the NWA title now? Daniels: Yeah, I look out for my own, and you're a Daniels now. I'll be right back. Tell me if Commissioner Heenan comes in. In the mean time, keep my chair warm. :Daniels walks into the bathroom, and then walks back out.: Daniels: On second thought, make me a sandwich. :Daniels walks into the bathroom and walks back out.: Daniels: Strike that, just keep my chair room. :Daniels goes back into the bathroom. Commissioner Heenan walks in.: Heenan: Hey, AJ. Where's Chris? AJ: He's in the bathroom. Heenan: Oh, he said he had some news for me - something about the NWA title. Is Chris going to be the next NWA champion?! AJ: Um, no. He doesn't want to go for the title. Heenan: Oh. Well, that's good - I can't afford to lose him anyhow. So, who does he have in mind for the number one contender? AJ: Me. Heenan: Ho, ho! Good call! OK, so you are the number one contender now. Congrats! You'll have your match in the main event at Revelations against The Rock. AJ: Finally, some good luck came from all of this. :Heenan is about to walk out of the locker room, but turns back.: Heenan: Oh, and I almost forgot to tell Chris something rather important. Tell Chris that I made a deal with Flair. The only way I could bring him back to the Mid-Atlantic is if I gave him a M-A title shot, just one. So, tonight I've decided to give Flair his title shot, rather than the non-title match as scheduled. AJ: OK. Heenan: But, you see...I can't have Flair bringing back the M-A title with him to NEW. The M-A belt has to stay on Chris. So, I need something to guarantee that belt stays here. AJ: Go on. Heenan: Well, I've decided to make it a Special Guest Referee match. AJ: Go on. Heenan: I was thinking of Randy Orton since he and Chris are good friends and occasional tag team partners. AJ: But? Heenan: But Orton just RKO'd a bunch of legend wrestler road agents; so, I think his arm might be tired. AJ: Did he fight over the bran muffin with Arn again? Heenan: I'd rather not discuss it. :pauses: Hey! Why don't you be the Special Guest Referee? I mean, Chris thinks so highly of you, and he did just give you his number one contendership for the NWA title. AJ: Brain, it would be an honour. Heenan: Thanks, AJ! I can't wait to tell, Chris. AJ: No, no. Let me, I want it to be a surprise. Heenan: Hey, AJ, it's all you tonight. :Heenan walks out of the locker room. Shortly after, Chris walks out of the bathroom.: Daniels: Did Commissioner Heenan come-by? He said it was some important news. I can only wonder what it could be. AJ: You got me. Hey, isn't your match against Flair next? Daniels: Oh yeah, it is! Thanks, AJ! :pauses: You didn't keep my seat warm. 100 Mid-Atlantic Championship Match: Special Guest Referee AJ (Styles-)Daniels Daniels: AJ, why are you wearing that referee shirt? AJ: I'm the Special Guest Referee. Daniels: Oh, alright. It's going to be fun beating a legend from the Mid-Atlantic. Now I know how Randy Orton feels. "Nature Boy" Ric Flair def. © "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels via Submission at 15:57 when Styles hit the Angel Wings on Daniels, allowing Flair to put Daniels in the Figure Four, and Styles called for the submission, although Daniels knocked-out from the Angel Wings. Styles stood over Daniels until Randy Orton came to the ring and put Styles in the RKO. **** 91/96/81 Ross: Oh my god, Brain! There's a new Mid-Atlantic champion! Once again, Ric Flair is the Mid-Atlantic champion! Heenan: AJ Daniels, you double-crossed us! If you were under contract, I'd fire you! 84

NEW Saturday Night September 23rd 2006 Carlito cut a promo in the ring, trashing the PTL Invaders by saying that "PTL was not cool." This results in the five PTL Invaders coming out and surrounding him. Right as they are about to pound the crap out of Carlito, the NEW team of Chris Sabin, Johnny Devine, Brian Kendrick, and Jerrelle Clark makes the save. (81%) Brian Kendrick and Jerrelle Clark defeated PTL's Kevin Steen and Adam Pearce at 7:24 in an awesome, competitive match. The crowd didn't get into it too much, as none of the participants were all that over. The finish came when Kendrick hit the Sliced Bread #2 on Steen, and pinned him. After the match, Team NEW and the PTL Invaders had a five on five brawl. (71/55/88) Eric Bischoff was in his office, when America's Most Wanted, the Basham Brothers, and D'Lo Brown charge in, all wanting a shot at the NEW Tag Team Championship. Bischoff told them all they could compete for the title in a four way match at Manchester Mayhem, and ordered D'Lo to find a partner he could depend on this time. (88%) Ron Killings defeated Xavier at 5:35 in a nice little match. Xavier got some adequate offense in, and Killings sold well for him. In the end, Killings put Xavier away with the scissors kick. After the match, Kid Kash inexplicably ran in to beat on Killings, until Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson made the save. The mutual respect between Killings and Gibson seems to be intact heading into their bout at Mancester Mayhem. (74/66/82) Mick Foley cut a promo defending his actions against Tommy Dreamer and Sonny Siaki. Foley says that he does not want to sound arrogant, but he is a legend, and that Dreamer beating him in Hell in a Cell should have been a big deal. Foley is angry that Dreamer does not know how good he is capable of being. This brings out Siaki, who calls Foley "worthless" and the "lousiest excuse for a legend he has ever seen." Siaki says that he's already beaten a true legend in the Undertaker, and that beating Foley at Manchester Mayhem will be a piece of cake. (88%) Boston Harbor Champion James Gibson defeated Edge at 8:35 to retain the championship. Edge had hit Gibson with a low blow, and was ready to steal the title when Team 3D ran in. Brother Devon distracted the referee while Brother Ray hit the Bubba Bomb on Edge, allowing Gibson to cover him for the victory. After the match, Rob Van Dam ran in to prevent any further attack. (83/85/79) Rey Mysterio defeated John Bradshaw Layfield and Chris Jericho at 10:21 in a non-title match. The match was fast paced and exciting, and Jericho basically decided he wanted to preserve himself for Manchester Mayhem and did not save JBL from being pinned by Mysterio after a West Coast Pop. With JBL as the referee at Manchester Mayhem, Jericho's selfish decision could come back to bite him in the ass... (90/92/88) Overall: 83 We got a 2.17 rating for 'NEW Saturday Night!'! The attendance level was 7716 people. We made $231480 from ticket sales. |
