Bear with me here. I never have time to play EWR anymore, but I'd like to think I'm still reasonably creative. And I was watching Smackdown, and reading The Torch, and a few things clicked into place...

Couple of things to consider

-There's a vacuum on Raw, and a slot for a top heel. Cena needs an opponent. DX are out of the question. Edge is...stale. Orton appears to be non-pushable. Johhny Nitro isn't ready yet.

-The Torch is reporting that Batista is "miserable" on Smackdown. You can even see it. He got over, because he was around HHH and Flair. He's, and eveyone's in agreement here - lost the buzz about him, and his aura. His ideal return would possibly see him turn heel, team with Orton and reform Evolution, thus fulfilling the critical need on Raw: Credible opponents for DX.

-Cena is teaming with Batista on Tuesday. Turn Batista heel.

-There's a Few ways you can do it. Cena is guaranted a superstar reaction on Tuesday - Batista will probably get major jealous. Or have him invite Batista to Raw, do it there. Eitherway, Batista jumpes to Raw, giving them sufficent build to Survivor Series. They've never done Cena/Batista and it does have sufficent "buzz" - it would be a decent match, buyrate wise. After Survivor Series, get Orton, turn Flair, and you've got DX vs. Evolution to tide Raw over to Royal Rumble.

I'm probably bullshitting, but it's worth a shot - it's 1am and I felt like spouting. Any thoughts?

I don't see it happening. They seem determined to get him back to his star status. I think the problem currently with Batista is that there's no reason to care about him. He's been mired in mid-card card since coming back. He seems really aimless on the shows and the fans have picked up on that.

Interesting thoughts. I don't think Batista's moving though because they're still working on getting him back over to what he used to be. That's the sole reason they have Finlay going up against him because they think Finlay will get him back over again. I agree with that as Finlay can do it but in saying that I think it is a risk. I'm not sure how good their matches will be together. If they're not good enough, than Batista won't gain that status he had before. I don't really think he'd lose too much momentum fighting Finlay but it's possible he might not get any more back.

But of all the people on the card, Finlay is definitely the best choice for him to be wrestling now.
