I'm too hefty for my slacks. The zippers off it's tracks. I've stretched it to the maa-a-a-a-x.

Yeah, I can promise that my show won't be up until Monday. The Jukes Box probably won't be until then either, but that may change if I have free time later today.

Events seem to be against me getting more than 5 hours of sleep a night right now. So I'm going to take a nap in a bit and then hit the show and the PPV hard tonight.

I sent my show through EWR yesterday, I just didn't have the will to write it out. Hopefully, it'll be up sometime between homework tonight.

NEW Saturday Night
October 7th 2006

Hey, I just got back from the NEW taping. President Rowe and Professor Plague weren't on commentary for some reason, I guess they had to be somewhere.

Dark matches:
Jamie Noble and Ron Killings defeated Kid Kash and Rene Dupree
Shark Boy defeated Xavier
The Dudley Boyz and Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine defeated America's Most Wanted and the Basham Brothers

Main show:

Rob Van Dam defeated Kevin Steen in a by the numbers match. The PTL guys are playing tweeners now. Carlito attacked RVD after the match, I guess they are facing each other at Resistance. (73/68/78)

Sonny Siaki and Tommy Dreamer came out to the ring and challenged Mick Foley and Rhino to a street fight at Resistance. Foley came out and mocked Siaki for not being hardcore. This lead to a sneak attack by Justin Credible, which lead to...

Mick Foley squashed Justin Credible, bloodying him up in the process, which seemed to scare the hell out of Siaki, who was watching at ringside. Foley continued to make fun of Siaki after the match. (73/76/69)

Rey Mysterio came to the ring and cut a promo against Chris Jericho. Mysterio said that Jericho's grasp on the NEW Championship is over and that he's going to kick Jericho's ass at Clash of the Champions.

Jushin Liger and Tajiri defeated D'Lo Brown and Scott Taylor to retain the NEW Tag Team Championship. The match kicked all types of ass. I was surprised to see Scott Taylor, better known as Scotty 2 Hotty. He's grown quite popular since debuting for Mid-Atlantic. (83/79/88)

Chris Jericho did a promo backstage, where he encountered JBL about their match tonight against Rey Mysterio and a mystery partner. Jericho suspected that JBL knew who Mysterio's partner was going to be, but JBL denied it. They don't trust each other.

Rey Mysterio came to the ring and announced that his partner was none other than... the Big Show!

Rey Mysterio and Big Show defeated Chris Jericho and JBL. This match was really good too. Big Show chokeslammed JBL straight to hell, allowing Mysterio to pin him with a frog splash. JBL and Jericho exchanged blows after the match. (89/92/85)

Fun show!

It's funny to think that it's already Wednesday and Rowe is still the first one to put his show up. Good write-up for quick results.

Scotty 2 Hotty should have won the tag belts with D'Lo Brown.

Yeah, well, we've all been busy this week. As long as the shows are up by the time the next week's thread starts on Friday or Saturday, we should be set.

You only wanted Scotty to win the tag title because you want Mid-Atlantic stars holding all of the NEW titles B)

[Here's a quick rundown of how the show went:

Andy Douglas d. Rob Conway
Dinsmore interfered, but hit Conway instead of Douglas, which gave Douglas the win. The Naturals don't have to give up their claim to the #1 contendership. (68/66/70)

Jerry Lynn d. Jimmy Jacobs
Lynn's first match in a while ends with Lynn grabbing the victory. Jacobs throws a fit, but Lynn encourages him. (68/54/83)

Regal assaults Collyer backstage. He tells Collyer that he doesn't deserve the Interstate Title. (79)

Interstate Title Tourney: Onyx d. Paul London (w/Cornette)
London could've won, but Onyx was more driven. Cornette yelled at London after the match. (66/58/74)

They showed a video recapping the Raven/Punk feud, ending with what Punk said last week about someone paying him. I imagine the announcers played up the ending. (95)

CM Punk d. Claudio Castagnoli
Lots of "HEY!!" from Castagnoli early on. Punk slaps Castagnoli around, and the humor soon is lost while the two clobber each other. (77/72/83)

Chris Benoit was backstage. I couldn't hear, but I'm sure it was aimed at Angle. (83)

Batista d. Ken Kennedy by DQ
Decent match, which ended when Abyss interfered and caused Kennedy to lose by DQ (82/87/71)

Overall: 77
We got a 1.87 rating for 'NWA Midwest Sat. Night'!
The attendance level was 4434 people.
We made $133020 from ticket sales.

Val Venis is cutting a promo on Sting. He says that he still has the Virginia State Title and that Sting can't get the belt away from him because of his own mistakes. Venis says next time he's going to pin Sting cleanly with the Money Shot.

Four Corners Match
"Sugar" Shane Helms (w/ Melina Perez) def. Kevin Nash, Matt Hardy and Antonio via Submission at 9:07 when Perez passed-off Helms' video camera to him, and Helms hit Nash in the knee with the camera, and put him in a half-Boston Crab.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan tells AJ (Styles-)Daniels that he'll have an NWA title shot next week, if he plays nice with "God's Gift to Wrestling" Christopher Daniels as a tag team partner and scores the pinfall in their tag match tonight against "The Legend Lover" Randy Orton and Mid-Atlantic Champion "Nurture Toy" Ric Flair.
100

The Daniels Brothers def. Flair and Orton at 12:48 when Daniels put his thumb in Orton's eye. Orton, temporarily blinded, thought he grabbed onto AJ and went for the RKO, but mistook AJ for Flair. AJ capitalized on Flair's misfortune and pinned him with the Spiral Tap.
